San Mateo 19
1 Cuando Jesús terminó estas palabras se trasladó de Galilea a las regiones de Judea, al otro lado del Jordán.
And it came to pass when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 Lo siguió una gran multitud y los sanó.
and great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 Unos fariseos se le acercaron para tentarlo. Le preguntaron: ¿Es lícito que un esposo repudie a su esposa por cualquier causa?
And there came unto him Pharisees, tempting him, and saying, Is it lawful [for a man] to put away his wife for every cause?
4 Él respondió: ¿No leyeron que Quien los creó los hizo varón y hembra desde un principio?
And he answered and said, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] from the beginning made them male and female,
5 Y dijo: Por esto dejará [el] hombre a padre y madre. Se unirá a su esposa y los dos serán un solo cuerpo.
and said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the twain shall become one flesh?
6 Así que ya no son dos, sino un solo cuerpo. Por tanto, lo que Dios unció al mismo yugo no lo separe [el] hombre.
So that they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 Le preguntaron: Entonces ¿por qué Moisés mandó dar carta de divorcio y repudiar?
They say unto him, Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorcement, and to put [her] away?
8 Les contestó: Moisés les permitió repudiar a sus esposas por la dureza del corazón de ustedes, pero desde un principio no fue así.
He saith unto them, Moses for your hardness of heart suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it hath not been so.
9 Les digo que cualquiera que repudia a su esposa, que no sea por causa de fornicación, y se casa con otra, adultera.
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth her when she is put away committeth adultery.
10 Los discípulos le dijeron: Si así es la situación del hombre con la mujer, no es bueno casarse.
The disciples say unto him, If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.
11 Entonces Él les respondió: No todos comprenden este precepto, sino aquellos a quienes fue dado.
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, but they to whom it is given.
12 Porque hay eunucos que son así desde el vientre de su madre, hay eunucos que fueron castrados por los hombres, y hay eunucos que ellos mismos deciden ser eunucos por causa del reino celestial. El que pueda aceptarlo, acéptelo.
For there are eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are eunuchs, which were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, which made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13 Entonces le llevaron unos niños para que pusiera las manos sobre ellos y hablara con Dios a su favor. Los discípulos los reprendieron.
Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should lay his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 Pero Jesús dijo: Dejen a los niños venir a Mí y no les impidan, porque de ellos es el reino celestial.
But Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 Después de colocar las manos sobre ellos, salió de allí.
And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16 Se acercó uno y le preguntó: Maestro, ¿qué cosa buena hago para tener vida eterna? (aiōnios g166)
And behold, one came to him and said, Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
17 Él le respondió: ¿Por qué me preguntas sobre lo bueno? Uno solo es el Bueno. Pero si quieres entrar en la vida, guarda los Mandamientos.
And he said unto him, Why askest thou me concerning that which is good? One there is who is good: but if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 Le preguntó: ¿Cuáles? Y Jesús contestó: No asesinarás, no adulterarás, no robarás, no dirás falso testimonio,
He saith unto him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 honra al padre y a la madre, y amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 El joven dijo: Todas estas cosas he guardado. ¿Qué más me falta?
The young man saith unto him, All these things have I observed: what lack I yet?
21 Jesús le respondió: Ya que quieres ser perfecto, anda, vende tus posesiones, repártelas a los pobres y tendrás tesoro en el cielo. En seguida, ven y sígueme.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
22 Pero cuando el joven oyó esta Palabra se fue triste, porque tenía muchas posesiones.
But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.
23 Entonces Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: En verdad les digo que con dificultad entra un rico en el reino celestial.
And Jesus said unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, It is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 Otra vez les digo: Es más fácil que pase un camello por un ojo de aguja que un rico entre en el reino de Dios.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 Al oír [esto, ] los discípulos se asombraron muchísimo y decían: Entonces, ¿quién puede salvarse?
And when the disciples heard it, they were astonished exceedingly, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 Jesús [los] miró y les dijo: Para [los] hombres esto es imposible, pero para Dios todas las cosas son posibles.
And Jesus looking upon [them] said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 Intervino Pedro: Mira, nosotros dejamos todo y te seguimos. ¿Qué, pues, habrá para nosotros?
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee; what then shall we have?
28 Jesús les contestó: En verdad les digo que en la regeneración, cuando el Hijo del Hombre se siente en su trono de gloria, ustedes los que me siguieron, también se sentarán sobre 12 tronos para juzgar a las 12 tribus de Israel.
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Todo el que dejó casas, hermanos, hermanas, padre, madre, hijos o granjas por causa de mi Nombre, recibirá muchas veces más y heredará la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
And every one that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
30 Pero muchos primeros serán últimos, y últimos, primeros.
But many shall be last [that are] first; and first [that are] last.
