San Lucas 4
1 Jesús regresó del Jordán lleno del Espíritu Santo y fue impulsado por el Espíritu a una región deshabitada
And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 por 40 días para que fuera tentado por el diablo. Nada comió en aquellos días. Cuando se acabaron tuvo hambre.
being tempted by the Devil forty days, and He did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, He afterward hungered,
3 Entonces el diablo le dijo: Ya que eres Hijo de Dios, dí a esta piedra que se convierta en pan.
and the Devil said to Him, “If You are [the] Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.”
4 Jesús le respondió: Está escrito: No solo de pan vivirá el hombre.
And Jesus answered him, saying, “It has been written, that, Not on bread only will man live, but on every saying of God.”
5 Lo subió y le mostró en un momento todos los reinos de la tierra habitada.
And the Devil having brought Him up to a high mountain, showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time,
6 Y el diablo le dijo: Te daré toda esta autoridad y el esplendor de ellos, pues me fue entregada, y a quien quiera se la doy.
and the Devil said to Him, “To You I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it has been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I give it;
7 Si Tú te postras ante mí, será toda tuya.
You, then, if You may worship me—all will be Yours.”
8 Jesús respondió: Está escrito: Ante el Señor tu Dios te postrarás y a Él solo servirás.
And Jesus answering him said, “[[Get behind Me, Satan, for]] it has been written: You will worship the LORD your God, and Him only you will serve.”
9 Entonces lo llevó a Jerusalén, lo puso en pie sobre el pináculo del Templo y le dijo: Ya que eres Hijo de Dios, lánzate de aquí abajo,
And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here,
10 porque está escrito: A sus ángeles mandará para que te guarden.
for it has been written: To His messengers He will give charge concerning you, to guard over you;
11 Y: En [las] manos te sostendrán para que tu pie no tropiece en piedra.
and: On hands they will bear you up, lest at any time you may dash your foot against a stone.”
12 Jesús le respondió: Está dicho: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.
And Jesus answering said to him, “It has been said, You will not tempt the LORD your God.”
13 Y cuando acabó toda tentación, el diablo se retiró de Él hasta un tiempo oportuno.
And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a convenient season.
14 Jesús regresó a Galilea con el poder del Espíritu, y [la] noticia con respecto a Él salió por toda la región alrededor.
And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the surrounding region concerning Him,
15 Enseñaba en las congregaciones de ellos y era alabado por todos.
and He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 Fue a Nazaret, donde fue criado. El día sábado entró en la congregación según la costumbre y se levantó a leer.
And He came to Nazareth, where He has been brought up, and He went in, according to His custom, on the day of the Sabbaths, into the synagogue, and stood up to read;
17 Se le dio un rollo del profeta Isaías. Lo desenvolvió y halló el lugar donde está escrito:
and there was given over to Him a scroll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the scroll, He found the place where it has been written:
18 [El] Espíritu del Señor está sobre Mí, porque me ungió para anunciar Buenas Noticias a [los] pobres. Me envió a proclamar libertad a cautivos, y restauración de vista a ciegos, a enviar en libertad a oprimidos,
“The Spirit of the LORD [is] on Me, Because He anointed Me To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent Me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send the bruised away with deliverance,
19 A proclamar el año aceptable del Señor.
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
20 Envolvió el rollo, lo devolvió al asistente y se sentó. Los ojos de todos en la congregación estaban fijos en Él.
And having folded the scroll, having given [it] back to the officer, He sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on Him.
21 Y les dijo: Hoy se cumplió esta Escritura en sus oídos.
And He began to say to them, “Today this writing has been fulfilled in your ears”;
22 Todos daban testimonio de Él y se maravillaban de las palabras de gracia que salían de su boca. Se preguntaban: ¿No es Éste [el] hijo de José?
and all were bearing testimony to Him, and were wondering at the gracious words that are coming forth out of His mouth, and they said, “Is this not the Son of Joseph?”
23 Y les respondió: Sin duda ustedes me dirán este refrán: Médico, cúrate a ti mismo. Todas las cosas que oímos que se hicieron en Cafarnaúm, hazlas también aquí en tu tierra.
And He said to them, “Certainly you will say to Me this allegory, Physician, heal yourself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country”;
24 En verdad les digo que ningún profeta es bienvenido en su tierra.
and He said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country;
25 Ciertamente les digo que muchas viudas había en Israel en los días de Elías, cuando el cielo fue cerrado por tres años y seis meses, mientras hubo una gran hambruna en toda la tierra.
and of a truth I say to you, many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the sky was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land,
26 Pero a ninguna de ellas fue enviado Elías, sino a una mujer viuda en Sarepta de Sidón.
and to none of them was Elijah sent, but—to Sarepta of Sidon, to a woman, a widow;
27 Muchos leprosos había en Israel en [el ]tiempo del profeta Eliseo, y ninguno de ellos fue limpiado, sino Naamán el sirio.
and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but—Naaman the Syrian.”
28 Al oír esto todos en la congregación se llenaron de ira.
And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things,
29 Se levantaron, lo sacaron fuera de la ciudad y lo llevaron para despeñarlo desde [la] cumbre de la montaña sobre la cual fue edificada la ciudad de ellos.
and having risen, they put Him forth outside the city, and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built—to cast Him down headlong,
30 Pero Él pasó por en medio de ellos y salió.
and He, having gone through the midst of them, went away.
31 Descendió a la ciudad de Cafarnaúm en Galilea y los sábados les enseñaba.
And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths,
32 Se asombraban de su enseñanza, porque su Palabra era con autoridad.
and they were astonished at His teaching, because His word was with authority.
33 En la congregación estaba un hombre que tenía un espíritu demoníaco impuro, quien clamó a gran voz:
And in the synagogue was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a great voice,
34 ¡Ah! ¿Qué [nos pasa] a nosotros y a Ti, Jesús nazareno? ¿Viniste a destruirnos? ¡Sé Quién eres: El Santo de Dios!
“Aah! What [regards] us and You, Jesus, O Nazarene? You came to destroy us; I have known who You are—the Holy One of God!”
35 Jesús lo reprendió: ¡Enmudece y sal de él! Y cuando lo lanzó en medio, sin hacerle daño el demonio salió de él.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silenced, and come forth out of him”; and the demon having cast him into the midst, came forth from him, having hurt him nothing;
36 Todos se asombraron y discutían entre ellos: ¿Qué Palabra es ésta, que con autoridad y poder manda a los espíritus impuros, y salen?
and amazement came on all, and they were speaking together with one another, saying, “What [is] this word, that with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come forth?”
37 Su fama se difundía por todo lugar de la región circunvecina.
And there was going forth a fame concerning Him to every place of the surrounding region.
38 Cuando salió de la congregación, entró en la casa de Simón. La suegra de Simón estaba atormentada por una gran fiebre y le rogaron por ella.
And having risen out of the synagogue, He entered into the house of Simon, and the mother-in-law of Simon was pressed with a great fever, and they asked Him about her,
39 Se inclinó hacia ella, reprendió la fiebre y la sanó. De inmediato, se levantó y les servía.
and having stood over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately, having risen, she was ministering to them.
40 Cuando el sol bajaba, todos los que tenían enfermos de diversas dolencias los llevaban a Él. Imponía las manos sobre cada uno de ellos y los sanaba.
And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with manifold diseases, brought them to Him, and He, having put hands on each one of them, healed them.
41 También salían demonios de muchos que gritaban: ¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios! Pero los reprendía y no les permitía hablar esto, porque sabían que Él era el Cristo.
And demons were also coming forth from many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God”; and rebuking, He did not permit them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.
42 Cuando amaneció, salió a un lugar solitario, pero la multitud lo buscaba. Fueron a Él y lo detenían para que no se alejara de ellos.
And day having come, having gone forth, He went on to a desolate place, and the multitudes were seeking Him, and they came to Him, and were restraining Him—not to go on from them,
43 Pero Él les dijo: Me es necesario proclamar las Buenas Noticias del reino de Dios también a las otras ciudades, pues para esto fui enviado.
and He said to them, “Also to the other cities it is necessary for Me to proclaim good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I have been sent”;
44 Y predicaba en las congregaciones de Judea.
and He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
