Levítico 4

1 Yavé habló a Moisés:

And Yahweh spake, unto Moses, saying:

2 Habla a los hijos de Israel: Si alguno peca por ignorancia contra cualquiera de los Mandamientos de Yavé sobre cosas que no se deben hacer, y hace alguna de ellas,

Speak thou unto the sons of Israel, saying—When any person, shall sin by mistake, departing from any of the commandments of Yahweh, as to things which should not be done, and shall do any one of them, —

3 o si el que peca es el sacerdote ungido, con lo cual trae culpabilidad sobre el pueblo por el pecado cometido, ofrecerá a Yavé como sacrificio que apacigua un becerro sin defecto.

If, the anointed priest, shall sin, so as to bring guilt upon the people, then shall he bring near for his sin which he hath committed a choice young bullock without defect, unto Yahweh as a sin-bearer.

4 Llevará el becerro a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión delante de Yavé, pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del becerro y lo degollará delante de Yavé.

And he shall bring in the bullock unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, before Yahweh, —and shall lean his hand upon the head of the bullock, and shall slay the bullock before Yahweh.

5 Luego el sacerdote ungido tomará de la sangre del becerro y la llevará al Tabernáculo de Reunión.

And the anointed priest shall take of the blood of the bullock, —and bring it into the tent of meeting;

6 El sacerdote mojará su dedo en la sangre y rociará siete veces delante de Yavé hacia el velo del Santuario.

and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, —and sprinkle of the blood seven times, before Yahweh, in front of the veil of the sanctuary.

7 Luego el sacerdote pondrá parte de la sangre sobre los cuernos del altar del incienso aromático delante de Yavé en el Tabernáculo de Reunión. Derramará el resto de la sangre del becerro al pie del altar del holocausto, situado en la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión.

Then shall the priest put of the blood upon the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before Yahweh, which is in the tent of meeting, —and, all the [remainder of the] blood of the bullock, shall he pour out at the base of the altar of ascending-sacrifice, which is at the entrance of the tent of meeting,

8 Después quitará toda la grasa del becerro del sacrificio que apacigua, la grasa que cubre las vísceras, toda la grasa que está sobre los órganos internos,

And all the fat of the sin-bearing bullock, shall he heave up therefrom, —the fat that covereth over the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards;

9 los dos riñones, la grasa que los cubre y sobre las ijadas, y la grasa del hígado, la cual quitará con los riñones,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them which is upon the loins, —and as for the caul upon the liver, upon the kidneys, shall he remove it:

10 de la manera como se quita del becerro del sacrificio de las ofrendas de paz. Luego, el sacerdote la hará arder sobre el altar del holocausto.

just as it is heaved up from the ox of the peace-offering, —and the priest shall make of them a perfume on the altar of ascending-sacrifice,

11 Pero la piel del becerro, toda su carne con su cabeza, sus patas, sus órganos internos, y su estiércol,

But, as for the skin of the bullock and all its flesh with its head and with its legs, —and its inwards, and its dung,

12 es decir, todo el becerro, lo sacará fuera del campamento a un lugar limpio, en el vertedero de las cenizas, y lo quemará al fuego sobre leña.

he shall take forth the entire bullock—unto the outside of the camp, unto a clean place unto the outpoured heap of fat-ashes, and shall burn it up on wood in the fire, —upon the outpoured heap of fat-ashes, shall it be burned up.

13 Si por ignorancia peca toda la congregación de Israel, y el asunto está oculto de la congregación, pero transgredió alguno de los Mandamientos de Yavé con respecto a cosas que no se deben hacer, son culpables.

And, if the whole assembly of Israel, shall make a mistake, and a matter be hidden from the eyes of the convocation, —and so they do something, whereby they depart from any of the commandments of Yahweh as to things which should not be done, and become guilty;

14 Cuando la falta con la cual pecaron sea manifiesta, entonces los de la congregación presentarán un becerro como sacrificio por el pecado, y lo conducirán a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión.

and the sin shall become known, which they have committed therein, then shall the convocation bring near a choice young bullock as a sin-bearer, yea they shall bring it in. before the tent of meeting;

15 Los ancianos de la congregación pondrán sus manos sobre la cabeza del becerro en la Presencia de Yavé, y uno degollará el becerro.

and the elders of the assembly shall lean their hands upon the head of the bullock before Yahweh, —and shall slay the bullock, before Yahweh;

16 Luego el sacerdote ungido llevará parte de la sangre del becerro al Tabernáculo de Reunión,

and the anointed priest shall bring in of the blood of the bullock, —into the tent of meeting;

17 mojará su dedo en la sangre y [la] rociará siete veces ante Yavé hacia el velo.

and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, —and shall sprinkle of the blood seven times before Yahweh, upon the face of the veil;

18 Pondrá luego parte de la sangre en los cuernos del altar en la Presencia de Yavé en el Tabernáculo de Reunión, y derramará el resto de la sangre al pie del altar del holocausto situado en la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión.

and, some of the blood, shall he put upon the horns of the altar which is before Yahweh, which is in the tent of meeting; and, all the [remainder of the] blood, shall he pour out at the base of the altar of ascending-sacrifice, which is at the entrance of the tent of meeting;

19 Después quitará de él toda su grasa y la quemará sobre el altar.

and, as for all the fat thereof, he shall heave up therefrom, —and make a perfume at the altar.

20 Procederá con el becerro así como se hace con el becerro del sacrificio que apacigua. Lo mismo hará con él. El sacerdote realizará el sacrificio que apacigua por ellos, y ellos serán perdonados.

And he shall do to the bullock, as he did to the [first] sin-bearing bullock, so shall he do with this, —and the priest shall put a propitiatory-covering over them, and it shall be forgiven them.

21 Luego sacará el becerro fuera del campamento y lo quemará como quemó el primer becerro. Es un sacrificio por el pecado de la congregación.

And he shall take forth the bullock unto the outside of the camp, and burn it up, just as he burned up the first bullock, —the sin-bearer of the convocation, it is.

22 Cuando un jefe peque por ignorancia, es decir, haga algo contra cualquiera de los Mandamientos de Yavé su ʼElohim sobre lo que no se debe hacer, es culpable.

When a prince, shall sin, —and shall do something, departing from any of the commandments of Yahweh his God as to things which should not be done, by mistake and shall become aware of his guilt;

23 Tan pronto como se le informe el pecado que cometió, presentará como ofrenda suya un macho cabrío sin defecto.

or his sin wherein he hath sinned be made known unto him, then shall he bring in. as his oblation a he-goat a male without defect;

24 Pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío, y lo degollará en el lugar donde se degüella el holocausto en la Presencia de Yavé. Es ofrenda por el pecado.

and shall lean his hand upon the head of the goat, and shall slay it in the place where they slay the ascending-sacrifice before Yahweh, —a sin-bearer, it is.

25 Entonces el sacerdote tomará con su dedo de la sangre del sacrificio por el pecado y la pondrá en los cuernos del altar del holocausto. Luego derramará el resto de su sangre al pie del altar del holocausto.

And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin-bearer with his finger, and put upon the horns of the altar of ascending-sacrifice; and, the [remainder of the] blood thereof, shall he pour out at the base of the altar of ascending-sacrifice;

26 Quemará toda su grasa sobre el altar, así como quema la grasa del sacrificio de paz. De esta manera el sacerdote ofrecerá sacrificio que apacigua por el pecado de aquél, y será perdonado.

and with all the fat thereof, shall he make a perfume at the altar, as with the fat of the peace-offering, —so shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over him because of his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.

27 Si una persona del pueblo de la tierra peca por ignorancia, es decir, transgrede alguno de los Mandamientos de Yavé con respecto a lo que no se debe hacer, es culpable.

And, if, any person, shall sin, by mistake from among the people of the land, —by his doing anything departing from any of the commandments of Yahweh, as to things which should not be done, and shall become aware of his guilt;

28 Tan pronto como se le haga reconocer el pecado que cometió, presentará una hembra de las cabras sin defecto como sacrificio suyo por el pecado que cometió.

or his sin which he hath committed shall be made known unto, him, then shall he bring in, as his oblation, a kid of the goats a female, without defect, for his sin which he hath committed;

29 Pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del sacrificio por el pecado y la degollará en el lugar del holocausto.

and shall lean his hand upon the head of the sin-bearer, —and shall slay the sin-bearer in the place of the ascending-sacrifice.

30 Entonces el sacerdote tomará de la sangre de ella con su dedo, la pondrá en los cuernos del altar del holocausto, y derramará el resto de su sangre al pie del altar.

Then shall the priest take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put upon the horns of the altar of ascending-sacrifice, —and all the [remaining] blood thereof, shall he pour out, at the base of the altar;

31 Después le quitará toda la grasa, como se remueve la grasa de las ofrendas de paz, y el sacerdote la hará arder sobre el altar como olor que apacigua a Yavé por él. El sacerdote hará el sacrificio que apacigua a favor de él, y le será perdonado.

and all the fat thereof, shall he remove as the fat from off the peace-offering was removed, and the priest shall make a perfume at the altar, for a satisfying odour unto Yahweh, —so shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over him, and it shall be forgiven him.

32 Si lleva una cordera como su ofrenda por el pecado, será una hembra sin defecto.

And, if a lamb, he bring in. as his oblation for a sin-bearer, a female without defect, shall he bring in;

33 Como sacrificio por el pecado, pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del sacrificio por el pecado y la degollará en el lugar donde se degüella el holocausto.

and shall lean his hand upon the head of the sin-bearer, —and shall slay it as a sin-bearer, in the place where they slay the ascending-sacrifice.

34 Después el sacerdote tomará con su dedo de la sangre de del sacrificio que apacigua, la pondrá en los cuernos del altar del holocausto, y derramará el resto de su sangre al pie del altar.

Then shall the priest take of the blood of the sin-bearer with his finger, and put upon the horns of the altar of ascending-sacrifice, —and all the [remaining] blood thereof, shall he pour out, at the base of the altar;

35 Luego quitará toda su grasa, como quita la grasa del cordero del sacrificio de paz, y el sacerdote la hará arder sobre el altar como sacrificio quemado a Yavé. El sacerdote ofrecerá así sacrificio que apacigua por tal persona, por el pecado cometido, y será perdonada.

and all the fat thereof, shall he remove as the fat of the lamb is removed, from the peace-offering, and the priest shall make a perfume therewith at the altar, upon the altar-flames of Yahweh, —so shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over him on account of his sin which he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
