Levítico 10
1 Nadab y Abiú, hijos de Aarón, cada uno tomó su incensario, y después de prender fuego en ellos y echar incienso sobre él, ofrecieron en la Presencia de Yavé fuego extraño que Él nunca les mandó.
And the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, each take his censer, and put fire in them, and put incense on it, and bring strange fire near before YHWH, which He has not commanded them;
2 Entonces de la Presencia de Yavé salió fuego que los quemó y murieron en la Presencia de Yavé.
and fire goes out from before YHWH and consumes them, and they die before YHWH.
3 Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón: Esto es lo que Yavé habló: Entre los que se acercan a Mí seré santificado, y en la presencia de todo el pueblo seré reverenciado. Aarón guardó silencio.
And Moses says to Aaron, “It [is] that which YHWH has spoken, saying, By those drawing near to Me I am sanctified, and in the face of all the people I am honored”; and Aaron is silent.
4 Moisés llamó a Misael y a Elzafán, hijos de Uziel, tío de Aarón, y les dijo: Acérquense y saquen a sus hermanos del Santuario, y llévenlos fuera del campamento.
And Moses calls to Mishael and to Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, uncle of Aaron, and says to them, “Come near, carry your brothers from the front of the holy place to the outside of the camp”;
5 Ellos se acercaron y los sacaron con sus túnicas y los llevaron fuera del campamento, como dijo Moisés.
and they come near, and carry them in their coats to the outside of the camp, as Moses has spoken.
6 Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón y a sus hijos Eleazar e Itamar: No descubran sus cabezas ni rasguen sus ropas para que Él no se aíre contra toda la congregación. Pero que sus hermanos, toda la casa de Israel, llore por el incendio que Yavé hizo.
And Moses says to Aaron and his sons, to Eleazar and to Ithamar, “You do not uncover your heads, and you do not tear your garments, that you do not die, and He is angry on all the congregation; as for your brothers, the whole house of Israel, they lament the burning which YHWH has kindled;
7 No salgan por la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión para que no mueran, por cuanto el aceite de la unción de Yavé está sobre ustedes. Y ellos hicieron conforme a la palabra de Moisés.
and you do not go out from the opening of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die, for the anointing oil of YHWH [is] on you”; and they do according to the word of Moses.
8 Yavé habló a Aarón:
And YHWH speaks to Aaron, saying,
9 Cuando tú y tus hijos entren en el Tabernáculo de Reunión, no beberán vino ni licor para que no mueran. Es estatuto perpetuo para sus generaciones,
“You do not drink wine and strong drink, you and your sons with you, in your going into the Tent of Meeting, and you do not die—a continuous statute throughout your generations,
10 para que distingan entre lo santo y lo profano, entre lo impuro y lo puro,
so as to make a separation between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the pure;
11 y para que enseñen a los hijos de Israel todos los Estatutos que Yavé les dio por medio de Moisés.
and to teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which YHWH has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.”
12 Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón y a sus hijos que quedaron, Eleazar e Itamar: Tomen la ofrenda vegetal sobrante de los sacrificios quemados a Yavé y cómanla sin levadura junto al altar. Es cosa santísima.
And Moses speaks to Aaron and his sons, to Eleazar and to Ithamar, who are left, “Take the present that is left from the fire-offerings of YHWH, and eat it unleavened near the altar, for it [is] most holy,
13 La comerán en un lugar santo, porque esto es para ti y para tus hijos de los sacrificios quemados a Yavé, pues así me fue ordenado.
and you have eaten it in the holy place, for it [is] your portion, and the portion of your sons, from the fire-offerings of YHWH; for so I have been commanded.
14 Tú y tus hijos e hijas comerán el pecho que se ofrece como ofrenda mecida y el muslo que se ofrece como ofrenda alzada. Los comerán en un lugar limpio, pues pertenecen a ti y a tus hijos, otorgados de los sacrificios de paz de los hijos de Israel.
And you eat the breast of the wave-offering and the leg of the raised-offering in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you; they have been given for your portion and the portion of your sons, out of the sacrifices of peace-offerings of the sons of Israel;
15 Con las ofrendas de las grasas que se quemarán, tomarán el muslo que será alzado y el pecho que será ofrecido como ofrenda mecida en la Presencia de Yavé. Será un estatuto perpetuo para ti y para tus hijos, como Yavé lo ordenó.
the leg of the raised-offering, and breast of the wave-offering, besides fire-offerings of the fat, they bring in to wave [as] a wave-offering before YHWH, and it has been to you, and to your sons with you, by a continuous statute, as YHWH has commanded.”
16 Moisés pidió con insistencia el macho cabrío del sacrificio por el pecado, y ciertamente ya había sido quemado. Entonces estalló en ira contra Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos que le quedaban a Aarón, y dijo:
And Moses has diligently sought the goat of the sin-offering, and behold, it is burned, and he is angry against Eleazar and against Ithamar, sons of Aaron, who are left, saying,
17 ¿Por qué no comieron el sacrificio por el pecado en lugar sagrado? Es cosa santísima, y les fue dada para que carguen la iniquidad de la congregación, para hacer sacrificio que apacigua por ellos delante de Yavé.
“Why have you not eaten the sin-offering in the holy place, for it [is] most holy—and He has given it to you to take away the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before YHWH?
18 Miren, su sangre no fue llevada aún al interior del Santuario, y ustedes debían comer el sacrificio en el Lugar Santo, como les mandé.
Behold, its blood has not been brought into the holy place within; eating you eat it in the holy place, as I have commanded.”
19 Entonces Aarón respondió a Moisés: Mira, hoy ofrecieron su sacrificio que apacigua por el pecado y su holocausto delante de Yavé. Pero cosas como éstas me sucedieron a mí. Si yo hubiera comido hoy del sacrificio que apacigua, ¿sería acepto a los ojos de Yavé?
And Aaron speaks to Moses, “Behold, today they have brought their sin-offering and their burnt-offering near before YHWH; and [things] like these meet me, yet I have eaten a sin-offering today; is it good in the eyes of YHWH?”
20 Cuando Moisés oyó esto le pareció bien.
And Moses listens, and it is good in his eyes.
