Josué 13
1 Cuando Josué era anciano, avanzado en años, Yavé le dijo: Tú eres anciano, avanzado en años, y todavía queda muchísima tierra por conquistar.
Now Joshua was old and well along in years, and the LORD said to him, “You are old and well along in years, but very much of the land remains to be possessed.
2 Esta es la tierra que queda: Todos los territorios de los filisteos y de los gesuritas.
This is the land that remains: All the territory of the Philistines and the Geshurites,
3 Desde Sihor, al oriente de Egipto, hasta el límite de Ecrón al norte, que se considera como cananeo; cinco principados de los filisteos: el gazeíta, el asdodita, el asquelonita, el guitita, el acronita y los heveos;
from the Shihor east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north (considered to be Canaanite territory)—that of the five Philistine rulers of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, as well as that of the Avvites;
4 al sur, toda la tierra de los cananeos, y Meara, que pertenece a los sidonios, hasta Afec, hasta el límite del amorreo,
to the south, all the land of the Canaanites, from Mearah of the Sidonians to Aphek, as far as the border of the Amorites;
5 y la tierra de los giblitas; todo el Líbano hacia donde sale el sol, desde Baal-gad al pie de la montaña Hermón, hasta entrar en Hamat.
the land of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon to the east, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath.
6 Todos los que habitan en la región montañosa desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot-maim, todos los sidonios, los echaré de delante de los hijos de Israel. Tú solo repártela por sorteo como herencia a Israel, como te di mandamiento.
All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim—all the Sidonians—I Myself will drive out before the Israelites. Be sure to divide it by lot as an inheritance to Israel, as I have commanded you.
7 Reparte esta tierra como herencia a las nueve tribus y a la media tribu de Manasés.
Now therefore divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
8 La otra mitad, los rubenitas y los gaditas recibieron la herencia que Moisés les dio al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente, según les repartió Moisés, esclavo de Yavé:
The other half of Manasseh, along with the Reubenites and Gadites, had received the inheritance Moses had given them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the LORD had assigned to them:
9 desde Aroer, a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle, y toda la llanura de Medeba, hasta Dibón;
The area from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,
10 todas las ciudades de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón, hasta los límites de los hijos de Amón;
and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the Ammonites;
11 Galaad y el territorio de los gesuritas y los maquitas, todo la montaña Hermón y todo Basán hasta Salca;
also Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah—
12 todo el reino de Og, en Basán, quien reinó en Astarot y Edrei, quien era el último sobreviviente de los refaítas, a los cuales Moisés derrotó y les quitó la posesión.
the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had remained as a remnant of the Rephaim. Moses had struck them down and dispossessed them,
13 Sin embargo, los hijos de Israel no echaron a los gesuritas ni a los maquitas, por tanto Gesur y Maacat viven en medio de Israel hasta hoy.
but the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites. So Geshur and Maacath dwell among the Israelites to this day.
14 Solo a la tribu de Leví no dio herencia. Su posesión son los sacrificios quemados a Yavé, ʼElohim de Israel, como Él les dijo.
To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, just as He had promised them.
15 Moisés les dio a la tribu de los hijos de Rubén según sus familias.
This is what Moses had given to the clans of the tribe of Reuben:
16 Su territorio fue: desde Aroer, a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle, y toda la llanura alrededor de Medeba;
The territory from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, to the whole plateau beyond Medeba,
17 Hesbón y todas las ciudades que están en la llanura: Dibón, Bamot-baal, Bet-baal-meón,
to Heshbon and all its cities on the plateau, including Dibon, Bamoth-baal, Beth-baal-meon,
18 Jaaza, Cademot, Mefaat,
Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
19 Quiriataim, Sibma, Zaret-hasahar, en la colina del Valle,
Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar on the hill in the valley,
20 Bet-peor, las laderas de la montaña Pisga y Bethayesimot;
Beth-peor, the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth—
21 todas las ciudades de la llanura y todo el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón, al cual Moisés derrotó, como también a los jefes de Madián: Evi, Requem, Sur, Hur y Reba, príncipes de Sehón que vivían en la tierra.
all the cities of the plateau and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon until Moses killed him and the chiefs of Midian (Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba), the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.
22 Entre el resto de los asesinados por ellos, los hijos de Israel también mataron a filo de espada a Balaam, hijo de Beor, el adivino.
The Israelites also killed the diviner Balaam son of Beor along with the others they put to the sword.
23 El límite de los hijos de Rubén fue el Jordán con su ribera. Tal fue la heredad de los hijos de Rubén, según sus familias, ciudades y aldeas.
And the border of the Reubenites was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the clans of the Reubenites, including the cities and villages.
24 Moisés [también] dio su parte a la tribu de Gad, a los hijos de Gad, según sus familias.
This is what Moses had given to the clans of the tribe of Gad:
25 Su territorio fue: Jazer y todas las ciudades de Galaad, la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Amón, hasta Aroer frente a Rabá;
The territory of Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, near Rabbah;
26 y desde Hesbón hasta Ramat-mizpa y Betonim, y desde Mahanaim hasta el límite de Debir;
the territory from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
27 y en el valle: Bet-aram, Bet-nimrá, Sucot y Zafón, el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón, con el Jordán como su límite hasta el extremo del mar de Cineret, al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente.
and in the valley, Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, with the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon (the territory on the east side of the Jordan up to the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth ).
28 Tal fue la herencia de los hijos de Gad, según sus familias, estas ciudades y sus aldeas.
This was the inheritance of the clans of the Gadites, including the cities and villages.
29 Moisés también dio herencia a la media tribu de Manasés, según sus familias.
This is what Moses had given to the clans of the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, to half the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh:
30 Su territorio fue desde Mahanaim, todo Basán, todo el reino de Og, rey de Basán, y todas las aldeas de Jaír que están en Basán, 60 poblaciones.
The territory from Mahanaim through all Bashan—all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, including all the towns of Jair that are in Bashan, sixty cities;
31 La mitad de Galaad, Astarot y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán, fue para los hijos de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, para la mitad de los hijos de Maquir, según sus familias.
half of Gilead; and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan. All this was for the clans of the descendants of Machir son of Manasseh, that is, half of the descendants of Machir.
32 Esto es lo que Moisés repartió como heredad en las llanuras de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán, frente a Jericó, al oriente.
These were the portions Moses had given them on the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan, east of Jericho.
33 Pero Moisés no le dio herencia a la tribu de Leví, porque Yavé, ʼElohim de Israel, es su herencia, como Él les dijo.
To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just as He had promised them.
