Juan 14
1 No se atribule su corazón. Crean en Dios, crean también en Mí.
“Do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me;
2 En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas moradas. Si no fuera así, ¿les hubiera dicho que me voy a prepararles lugar?
in the house of My Father are many rooms; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you;
3 Si me voy y les preparo lugar, vendré otra vez y los llevaré conmigo, para que donde Yo estoy, ustedes también estén.
and if I go on and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you also may be;
4 Saben adonde voy y saben el camino.
and to where I go away you have known, and the way you have known.”
5 Tomás le dijo: Señor, no sabemos a dónde vas. ¿Cómo podemos saber el camino?
Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we have not known to where You go away, and how are we able to know the way?”
6 Jesús le contestó: Yo soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida. Nadie viene al Padre sino por medio de Mí.
Jesus says to him, “I AM the way, and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, if not through Me;
7 Si me conocen, también conocen a mi Padre. Desde ahora lo conocen y lo vieron.
if you had known Me, you would also have known My Father, and from this time you have known Him, and have seen Him.”
8 Felipe le dijo: Señor, muéstranos al Padre, y nos basta.
Philip says to Him, “Lord, show to us the Father, and it is enough for us”;
9 Jesús le preguntó: Felipe, ¿tanto tiempo he estado con ustedes, y no me conoces? El que me vio, vio al Padre. ¿Cómo dices tú: Muéstranos al Padre?
Jesus says to him, “Such [a] long time am I with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show to us the Father?
10 ¿No crees que Yo estoy en el Padre, y el Padre en Mí? Las Palabras que Yo les digo, no [las] hablo por mi propia iniciativa, sino el Padre que mora en Mí realiza sus obras.
Do you not believe that I [am] in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The sayings that I speak to you, I do not speak from Myself, and the Father who is abiding in Me does the works Himself;
11 Créanme que Yo estoy en el Padre, y el Padre en Mí. De otra manera, créanme por causa de las mismas obras.
believe Me, that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in Me; and if not, because of the works themselves, believe Me.
12 En verdad, en verdad les digo: El que cree en Mí, también hará las obras que Yo hago. Y mayores que éstas hará, porque Yo voy al Padre.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me, the works that I do—that one will also do, and greater than these he will do, because I go on to My Father;
13 Todo lo que pidan en mi Nombre, eso haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
and whatever you may ask in My Name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son;
14 Si me piden cualquier cosa en mi Nombre, Yo [lo] haré.
if you ask anything in My Name I will do [it].
15 Si me aman, guardarán mis Mandamientos.
If you love Me, keep My commands,
16 Yo rogaré al Padre y les dará otro Intercesor, a fin de que esté con ustedes para siempre: (aiōn g165)
and I will ask the Father, and He will give to you another Comforter, that He may remain with you throughout the age: (aiōn g165)
17 al Espíritu de Verdad, a Quien el mundo no puede recibir, porque no lo ve ni [lo] conoce. Ustedes lo conocen, porque mora con ustedes y estará en ustedes.
the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see nor know [this] One, and you know [this] One, because [this] One remains with you, and will be in you.
18 No los dejaré huérfanos. Vendré a ustedes.
I will not leave you bereaved, I come to you;
19 Aún un poco, y el mundo no me verá, pero ustedes me verán. Porque Yo vivo, ustedes también vivirán.
yet a little [while] and the world beholds Me no more, and you behold Me, because I live, and you will live;
20 Aquel día sabrán que Yo estoy en mi Padre, ustedes en Mí y Yo en ustedes.
in that day you will know that I [am] in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you;
21 El que tiene mis Mandamientos y los guarda es el que me ama. Al que me ama, mi Padre lo amará. Y Yo lo amaré y me revelaré a él.
he who is having My commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving Me, and he who is loving Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.”
22 Judas, no el Iscariote, le preguntó: Señor, ¿cómo te revelarás a nosotros y no al mundo?
Judas says to Him (not the Iscariot), “Lord, what has come to pass, that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jesús le respondió: Si alguno me ama, guardará mi Palabra. Mi Padre lo amará. Vendremos a él y viviremos con él.
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone may love Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and We will make [an] abode with him;
24 El que no me ama, no guarda mis Palabras. La Palabra que [ustedes] escuchan no es mía, sino del Padre que me envió.
he who is not loving Me does not keep My words; and the word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
25 Esto les he hablado mientras estoy con ustedes,
These things I have spoken to you, remaining with you,
26 pero el Intercesor, el Espíritu Santo, a Quien el Padre enviará en mi Nombre, Él les enseñará todas las cosas y les recordará todo lo que les dije.
and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you.
27 Paz les dejo. Les doy mi paz. Yo no se la doy como el mundo la da. No se atribule ni se atemorice su corazón.
Peace I leave to you; My peace I give to you. Not according as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
28 Oyeron que me voy y regreso a ustedes. Si me aman, se regocijarían porque voy al Padre, pues el Padre es mayor que Yo.
You heard that I said to you, I go away, and I come to you. If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, I go on to the Father, because My Father is greater than I.
29 Esto se lo digo antes que suceda, para que cuando suceda, crean.
And now I have said [it] to you before it comes to pass, that when it may come to pass, you may believe.
30 Ya no hablaré mucho más con ustedes, porque viene el príncipe de este mundo y nada tiene en Mí.
I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me;
31 Pero hablo esto para que el mundo sepa que amo al Padre, y hago lo que el Padre me mandó. ¡Levántense, vámonos de aquí!
but that the world may know that I love the Father, and according as the Father gave Me command, so I do; arise, we may go from here.”
