Job 13
1 Ciertamente mis ojos vieron todo esto. Mis oídos lo escucharon y entendieron.
"Look, my eye has seen all this. My ear has heard and understood it.
2 Como ustedes lo saben, yo también lo sé. En nada soy menos que ustedes.
What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.
3 Pero en verdad yo me dirijo a ʼEL-Shadday, porque quiero disputar con ʼElohim.
"Surely I would speak to Shaddai. I desire to reason with God.
4 Ustedes son forjadores de mentiras. Médicos inútiles son todos ustedes.
But you are forgers of lies. You are all physicians of no value.
5 ¡Ojalá callaran por completo! Esto sería sabiduría.
Oh that you would be completely silent. Then you would be wise.
6 Escuchen mi argumento y atiendan las contenciones de mis labios.
Hear now my reasoning. Listen to the pleadings of my lips.
7 ¿Dirán ustedes perversidades a favor de ʼElohim? ¿Hablarán engaño a favor de Él?
Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
8 ¿Mostrarán parcialidad a su favor? ¿Contenderán ustedes a favor de ʼElohim?
Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?
9 ¿Les irá bien cuando Él los escudriñe? ¿Se burlarán de Él como el que se burla de un hombre?
Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceives a man, will you deceive him?
10 Ciertamente los reprenderá, si en secreto son parciales.
He will surely reprove you if you secretly show partiality.
11 ¿No los aterrorizará su majestad, y caerá su terror sobre ustedes?
Shall not his majesty make you afraid, And his dread fall on you?
12 Sus dichos memorables serán proverbios de polvo, y sus defensas serán de barro.
Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, Your defenses are defenses of clay.
13 Callen y hablaré yo. ¡Y que me venga lo que venga!
"Be silent, leave me alone, that I may speak. Let come on me what will.
14 ¿Por qué debo tomar mi carne entre mis dientes, y colocar mi vida en mis manos?
Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
15 Ciertamente aunque me mate, en Él esperaré, pero defenderé mis caminos delante de Él.
Look, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.
16 Esto también será mi salvación, porque no llegará ante su presencia el impío.
This also shall be my salvation, that a godless man shall not come before him.
17 Escuchen con atención lo que digo. Mi declaración entre en sus oídos:
Hear diligently my speech. Let my declaration be in your ears.
18 Ciertamente preparé mi defensa. Sé que seré declarado justo.
See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.
19 ¿Quiere alguno contender conmigo? Porque si ahora callo, moriría.
Who is he who will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and give up the spirit.
20 Solo dos cosas no hagas conmigo, y no me esconderé de tu Presencia:
"Only do not do two things to me; then I will not hide myself from your face:
21 Aparta de sobre mí tu mano, y no me espante tu terror.
withdraw your hand far from me; and do not let your terror make me afraid.
22 Llama luego y yo responderé, o yo hablaré y Tú me responderás.
Then call, and I will answer; or let me speak, and you answer me.
23 ¿Cuántas son mis iniquidades y pecados? Hazme saber mi transgresión y mi pecado.
How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me know my disobedience and my sin.
24 ¿Por qué ocultas tu rostro y me consideras tu enemigo?
Why hide you your face, and hold me for your enemy?
25 ¿Quebrantas una hoja volandera, y persigues un pasto seco?
Will you harass a driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
26 Escribes contra mí cosas amargas y me haces heredar las iniquidades de mi juventud.
For you write bitter things against me, and make me inherit the iniquities of my youth:
27 Colocas mis pies en el cepo. Vigilas todos mis caminos. Trazas un límite para las plantas de mis pies.
You also put my feet in the stocks, and mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of my feet,
28 Mi cuerpo se desgasta como cosa podrida, como ropa vieja comida de polilla.
though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
