Isaías 65

1 Me dejé hallar por los que no preguntaban por Mí. Me dejé buscar por los que no me invocaban. Dije a gente que no invocaba mi Nombre: ¡Aquí estoy! ¡Aquí estoy!

I have heard those that made no supplication; I have been found by those who sought me not; I said, Here I am, here I am, To a people that called not upon my name.

2 Todo el día extendí mis manos hacia un pueblo rebelde, que no anda por buen camino. Anda tras sus propios pensamientos.

I have spread out my hands all the day To a rebellious people, That walketh in an evil way, According to their own devices;

3 Pueblo que en mi propio rostro me provoca a ira continuamente, que sacrifica en huertos y quema incienso sobre ladrillos,

To a people that provoke me to my face continually; That sacrifice in gardens, And burn incense on tiles;

4 que se sientan en los sepulcros y pasan la noche en las bóvedas, que comen carne de cerdo y hay caldo de cosas repugnantes en sus ollas.

That sit in sepulchres, And lodge in caverns; That eat swine's flesh, And have broth of unclean things in their vessels;

5 Ellos dicen: Quédate en tu lugar. No te acerques, porque estoy más consagrado que tú. Éstos son como el humo de mi furor, como fuego que arde todo el día.

Who yet say: Stand by thyself! come not near to me, For I am holier than thou! These are a smoke in my nose, A fire that burneth continually.

6 En verdad está escrito delante de Mí. No callaré hasta dar retribución. No descansaré hasta retribuir su obra del pasado en su propio regazo,

Behold, it stands recorded before me; I will not keep silence, but will requite; I will requite it into their bosoms;

7 por sus iniquidades y las de sus antepasados juntamente, dice Yavé. Porque quemaron incienso en los lugares altos y blasfemaron en las colinas. Por tanto, mediré su obra antigua en su regazo.

Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith Jehovah, Who burnt incense on the mountains, And dishonored me on the hills, I will pour the full recompense of their former deeds into their bosom.

8 Yavé dice: Como alguno que halla jugo en un racimo y dice: ¡No dejes que se pierda, porque es una bendición! Así Yo haré a causa de mis esclavos. No lo destruiré todo.

Thus saith Jehovah: As when juice is found in a cluster, Men say, “Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it”; So will I do, for the sake of my servants, and will not destroy the whole;

9 Sacaré linaje de Jacob y de Judá, al heredero de mis montañas. Entonces mis escogidos poseerán la tierra, y mis esclavos vivirán allí.

I will cause a stem to spring forth from Jacob, And from Judah a possessor of my mountains; My chosen shall possess the land, And my servants shall dwell there.

10 Sarón será un pastizal de ovejas, y el valle de Acor lugar de descanso para manadas de ganado vacuno y beneficio de mi pueblo que me busca.

And Sharon shall be a fold for flocks, And the valley of Achor a resting-place for herds, For my people that have sought me.

11 Pero ustedes, los que abandonan a Yavé y se olvidan de mi Santa Montaña, los que preparan una mesa para el ʼelohim Fortuna y hacen libaciones al ʼelohim Destino,

But ye, who have forsaken Jehovah, And have forgotten my holy mountain, That prepare a table for Fortune, And fill the cup for Destiny,

12 Todos ustedes se encorvarán para la matanza. Yo también los destino a la espada. Porque llamé y no respondieron. Hablé y no escucharon. Hicieron lo malo ante mis ojos, escogieron lo que no me deleita.

Yourselves do I destine to the sword, And all of you shall bow down before the slaughter; Because I called, and ye answered not, I spake, and ye would not hear, But did that which is evil in my sight, And chose that in which I had no delight.

13 Por eso ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Ciertamente mis esclavos comerán, pero ustedes tendrán hambre. Miren, mis esclavos beberán, y ustedes tendrán sed. Ciertamente mis esclavos estarán alegres, pero ustedes avergonzados.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, my servants shall eat, and ye shall be hungry; Behold, my servants shall drink, and ye shall be thirsty; Behold, my servants shall rejoice, and ye shall be confounded;

14 En verdad mis esclavos cantarán por el júbilo del corazón, pero ustedes clamarán por el dolor del corazón y gemirán por el quebrantamiento de espíritu.

Behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart, But ye shall shriek for sorrow of heart, And howl for anguish of spirit.

15 Su nombre será dejado para que reciba maldición de mis escogidos, cuando digan: ¡Que ʼAdonay Yavé te mate, pero que a sus esclavos llame por otro nombre!

And ye shall leave your name for a curse to my chosen, And the Lord Jehovah shall slay you; But his servants will he call by another name.

16 Porque el que sea bendecido en la tierra será bendecido por el ʼElohim de la verdad, y el que jure en la tierra jurará por el ʼElohim de la verdad. Porque las angustias del pasado serán olvidadas. En verdad, quedarán ocultas ante mis ojos.

Whoso blesseth himself in the land Shall bless by the true God; And he that sweareth in the land shall swear by the true God; For the former troubles are forgotten, And they are hid from mine eyes.

17 Porque en verdad, Yo creo nuevos cielos y nueva tierra. No habrá recuerdo de las primeras cosas, ni llegarán más al pensamiento.

For behold! I create new heavens, and a new earth; The former ones shall not be remembered, Nor shall they be brought to mind any more.

18 Pero se gozarán y se alegrarán para siempre en las cosas que Yo crearé. Ciertamente transformo a Jerusalén en regocijo y a su pueblo en alegría.

But ye shall be glad and exult forever In that which I create; For behold! I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, And her people a joy.

19 Me gozaré por Jerusalén y me regocijaré por mi pueblo. Nunca jamás se oirá voz de lamento ni sonido de llanto en ella.

And I will exult in Jerusalem, And rejoice in my people; No more shall be heard therein The voice of weeping and the cry of distress.

20 No habrá allí bebés que vivan pocos días, ni ancianos que no cumplan sus años, porque el niño morirá de 100 años y el pecador de 100 años será maldito.

There shall not be there an infant child, nor an old man, That hath not filled the measure of his years; For he that dieth a hundred years old shall die a youth, And the sinner dying a hundred years old shall be held accursed.

21 Edificarán casas y vivirán en ellas. Plantarán viñas y comerán sus frutos.

They shall build houses, and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them;

22 No edificarán para que otro habite, ni plantarán para que otro coma, porque los años de mi pueblo serán los años de un árbol, y mis escogidos disfrutarán plenamente la obra de sus manos.

They shall not build, and another inhabit; They shall not plant, and another eat; For as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, Yea, long shall my chosen enjoy the work of their hands.

23 No trabajarán en vano, ni darán a luz hijos para el terror, porque son la descendencia bendita de Yavé, y también sus descendientes.

They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for early death; For they are a race blessed by Jehovah, And their offspring shall remain to them.

24 Acontecerá que antes que clamen, Yo responderé. Mientras hablan, Yo los escucharé.

Before they call, I will answer; And while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

25 El lobo y el cordero serán apacentados juntos, el león comerá paja como el buey, y el polvo será el alimento de la serpiente. No harán daño ni destruirán en toda mi Santa Montaña, dice Yavé.

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, And the lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the food of the serpent. They shall not hurt, nor destroy, in all my holy mountain, Saith Jehovah.
