Isaías 6
1 El año de la muerte del rey Uzías vi a ʼAdonay sentado sobre un trono alto y excelso, y sus ropas llenaban el Templo.
In the yeere of the death of King Vzziah, I saw also the Lord sitting vpon an high throne, and lifted vp, and the lower partes thereof filled the Temple.
2 Por encima de Él había serafines. Cada uno tenía seis alas: con dos cubrían sus rostros, con dos cubrían sus pies y con dos volaban.
The Seraphims stoode vpon it: euery one had sixe wings: with twaine he couered his face, and with twaine hee couered his feete, and with twaine he did flie.
3 El uno proclamaba al otro: ¡Santo, Santo, Santo, Yavé de las huestes! ¡Toda la tierra está llena de su gloria!
And one cryed to another, and sayde, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hostes: the whole world is full of his glory.
4 Los postes de las puertas se estremecían con la voz del que proclamaba, y el Templo se saturó de humo.
And the lintles of the doore cheekes moued at the voyce of him that cryed, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Entonces dije: ¡Ay de mí porque estoy muerto! Porque soy hombre de labios impuros. Vivo en medio de un pueblo que tiene labios impuros. ¡Y mis ojos vieron al Rey Yavé de las huestes!
Then I sayd, Wo is me: for I am vndone, because I am a man of polluted lips, and I dwell in the middes of a people of polluted lips: for mine eyes haue seene the King and Lord of hostes.
6 Pero uno de los serafines voló hacia mí con un carbón encendido en la mano, el cual tomó del altar con unas tenazas.
Then flewe one of the Seraphims vnto me with an hote cole in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with the tongs:
7 Tocó mi boca con él y dijo: Mira, esto toca tus labios. Tu culpa es quitada es y tu pecado perdonado.
And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged.
8 Entonces escuché la voz de ʼAdonay que decía: ¿A quién enviaré y quién irá por nosotros? Entonces dije: Aquí estoy, envíame a mí.
Also I heard the voyce of the Lord, saying, Whome shall I send? and who shall goe for vs? Then I sayd, Here am I, send me.
9 Y dijo: Vé y dí a este pueblo: Escuchen bien, pero no entiendan. Miren ciertamente, pero no comprendan.
And he sayd, Goe, and say vnto this people, Ye shall heare in deede, but ye shall not vnderstand: ye shall plainely see, and not perceiue.
10 Priva de sensibilidad el corazón de este pueblo, y que sus oídos se endurezcan y sus ojos se cieguen, no sea que miren con sus ojos, escuchen con sus oídos, entiendan con su corazón, se conviertan y sean sanados.
Make the heart of this people fatte, make their eares heauie, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their hearts, and conuert, and he heale them.
11 Entonces pregunté: ¿Hasta cuándo, ʼAdonay? Y Él respondió: Hasta cuando las ciudades estén devastadas y sin habitantes, no haya gente en las casas y la tierra esté absolutamente desolada,
Then sayd I, Lord, howe long? And he answered, Vntill the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be vtterly desolate,
12 hasta cuando Yavé aleje a los hombres y multiplique los lugares abandonados en medio de la tierra,
And the Lord haue remoued men farre away, and there be a great desolation in the mids of the land.
13 aunque quede en ella una décima parte, de nuevo será consumida. Pero como el roble o la encina, que al ser talados aún les queda el tronco, así será el tronco de ella, la descendencia santa.
But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof.
