Oseas 12
1 Efraín se apacienta de viento, y persigue al viento del este. Mentiras y destrucción aumentan continuamente. Además hizo un pacto con Asiria, y lleva el aceite de Egipto.
Effraym fedith wynd, and sueth heete. Al dai he multiplieth leesyng, and distriyng; and he made boond of pees with Assiriens, and bar oile in to Egipt.
2 Yavé tiene pleito con Judá. Castigará a Jacob conforme a sus caminos. Le pagará según sus obras.
Therfor the doom of the Lord is with Juda, and visityng is on Jacob; bi the weies of hym, and bi the fyndyngis of hym he schal yelde to hym.
3 En el vientre tomó por el talón a su hermano, y en su madurez luchó con ʼElohim.
In the wombe he supplauntide his brother, and in his strengthe he was dressid with the aungel.
4 Luchó con el Ángel y prevaleció. Lloró, y le imploró gracia. En Bet-ʼEl lo encontró, y allí habló con nosotros.
And he was strong to the aungel, and was coumfortid; he wepte, and preiede hym; in Bethel he foond hym, and there he spak with vs.
5 ¡Sí, Yavé es el ʼElohim de las huestes! ¡Yavé es su nombre!
And the Lord God of oostis, the Lord, is the memorial of hym.
6 Tú, pues, devuélvete hacia tu ʼElohim. Practica la bondad y la justicia, y espera siempre en tu ʼElohim.
And thou schalt turne to thi God. Kepe thou merci and doom, and hope thou euere in thi God.
7 Mercader que tiene en su mano balanza falsa es amigo de oprimir.
Chanaan louyde fals caleng, a gileful balaunce in his hond.
8 Dijo Efraín: Me enriquecí ciertamente. Hallé riqueza para mí. En todas mis labores no hallarán en mí alguna iniquidad que sea pecado.
And Effraym seide, Netheles Y am maad riche, Y haue founde an idol to me; alle my trauelis schulen not fynde to me the wickidnesse, whiche Y synnede.
9 Sin embargo, desde la tierra de Egipto Yo soy Yavé tu ʼElohim. Aún te haré vivir en tiendas, como en los días de la solemnidad.
And Y am thi Lord God fro the lond of Egipt; yit Y schal make thee to sitte in tabernaclis, as in the daies of feeste.
10 Porque también hablé a los profetas. Multipliqué visiones y por medio de los profetas expuse parábolas.
And Y spak bi profetis, and Y multiplied profesie, and Y was licned in the hond of profetis.
11 ¿Hay iniquidad en Galaad? Solo son vanidad. En Gilgal sacrificaban becerros, pero sus altares son como pilas de piedras junto a los surcos del campo.
If Galaad worschipith an idol, therfor thei erren in veyn offryng to oxis in Galgal; for whi and the auteris of hem schulen be as heepis on the forewis of the feeld.
12 Huyó Jacob a la tierra de Aram. Israel sirvió para adquirir esposa, y por una esposa cuidó ovejas.
Jacob fledde in to the cuntrei of Sirie, and Israel seruyde for a wijf, and seruyde, ether kepte, for a wijf.
13 Por medio de un profeta Yavé sacó a Israel de Egipto, y por medio de un profeta fue preservado.
But bi a profete the Lord ledde Israel out of Egipt, and bi a profete he was kept.
14 Efraín lo provocó a amarga ira. Por tanto, ʼAdonay dejará sobre él la culpa de sangre y hará volver sobre él su oprobio.
Effraym terride me to wrathfulnesse in hise bitternessis, and the blood of hym schal come on hym; and his Lord schal restore to hym the schenschipe of him.
