Oseas 10
1 Vid frondosa es Israel. Produce fruto para sí mismo según la abundancia de su fruto. Él aumentó los altares según la abundancia de su tierra. Ellos embellecen sus estelas.
Israel is an unpruned vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the abundance of his fruit he hath multiplied altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly statues.
2 El corazón de ellos es engañoso. Ahora son hallados culpables. Él derribará sus altares. Él arruinará sus estelas.
Their heart is divided; now shall they be found guilty: he will break down their altars, he will destroy their statues.
3 Porque ahora dicen: No tenemos rey. No respetamos a Yavé. En cuanto al rey, ¿qué puede hacer por nosotros?
For now they will say, We have no king, for we feared not Jehovah; and a king, what can he do for us?
4 Hablan solo palabras. Con juramentos falsos hacen contratos y juran en vano. El juicio crece como hierba venenosa en los surcos del campo.
They speak [mere] words, swearing falsely in making a covenant; therefore shall judgment spring up as hemlock in the furrows of the fields.
5 Los habitantes de Samaria temen a causa del becerro de Bet-avén, en verdad el pueblo hará lamento por él, y sus sacerdotes idólatras llorarán por él, porque salió de él su gloria.
The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calf of Beth-aven; for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the idolatrous priests thereof shall tremble for it, for its glory, because it is departed from it.
6 Será llevado a Asiria como presente al rey Jareb. La vergüenza se adueña de Efraín. Israel se avergüenza de su propia decisión.
Yea, it shall be carried unto Assyria [as] a present for king Jareb: Ephraim shall be seized with shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
7 El rey de Samaria es destruido, como una astilla sobre el agua.
As for Samaria her king is cut off as chips upon the face of the waters.
8 Los lugares altos de Avén, pecado de Israel, serán destruidos, y sobre sus altares crecerán espinos y cardos. Entonces dirán a las montañas: ¡Cúbrannos! Y a las colinas: ¡Caigan sobre nosotros!
And the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up upon their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us! and to the hills, Fall on us!
9 Desde los días de Gabaa pecaste, oh Israel. Allí están firmes. ¿La batalla de Gabaa contra los inicuos no los alcanzó?
From the days of Gibeah hast thou sinned, O Israel: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
10 Cuando lo desee, los castigaré. Los pueblos se reunirán contra ellos cuando sean atados por sus dos transgresiones.
At my pleasure will I chastise them; and the peoples shall be assembled against them, when they are bound for their two iniquities.
11 Efraín es una novilla domesticada a la cual le gusta trillar. Yo puse el yugo de bondad sobre su hermoso cuello. A Efraín le pondré el yugo. Judá tirará el arado. Jacob desmenuzará los terrones.
And Ephraim is a trained heifer, that loveth to tread out [the corn]; I have passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to draw; Judah shall plough, Jacob shall break his clods.
12 Siembren para ustedes justicia. Cosechen para ustedes misericordia. Aren para ustedes barbecho, pues es tiempo de buscar a Yavé, hasta que Él venga y haga llover justicia sobre ustedes.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek Jehovah, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
13 Araron perversidad, cosecharon iniquidad, comieron el fruto de mentiras. Porque ustedes confiaron en su propio camino y en la multitud de sus valientes.
Ye have ploughed wickedness, reaped iniquity, eaten the fruit of lies; for thou didst confide in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
14 Por tanto, un tumulto surgirá entre tu pueblo, y todas tus fortalezas serán destruidas. Y Como Salmán destruyó a Bet-arbel el día de la batalla, la madre fue destrozada con sus hijos.
And a tumult shall arise among thy peoples, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces with the children.
15 Así se hará con ustedes, Bet-ʼEl, por causa de su gran maldad. Al rayar el alba será cortado completamente el rey de Israel.
So shall Bethel do unto you because of the wickedness of your wickedness: at day-break shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
