Génesis 6
1 Aconteció que cuando la humanidad comenzó a multiplicarse sobre la superficie de la tierra, y les nacieron hijas,
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them,
2 los hijos de ʼElohim vieron que las hijas del hombre eran hermosas, y tomaron para ellos mujeres de entre todas las que les gustaron.
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.
3 Entonces Yavé dijo: Mi Espíritu no contenderá para siempre con el hombre, pues ciertamente él es carne, y sus días serán 120 años.
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be an hundred and twenty years.
4 En aquellos días (y también después) los nefileos estaban en la tierra, pues cada vez que los hijos de ʼElohim se unían a las hijas de los humanos, les engendraban hijos. Estos fueron los héroes que desde la antigüedad fueron varones de renombre.
The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men which were of old, the men of renown.
5 Entonces Yavé vio que la perversidad del hombre se multiplicó en la tierra, y que toda forma de pensamiento de su corazón era solamente el mal continuamente.
And the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 Yavé sintió pesar de haber hecho al ser humano en la tierra y se entristeció su corazón.
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 Y Yavé dijo: Borraré de sobre la superficie de la tierra a los seres que creé, desde el humano hasta la bestia, el reptil y las aves de los cielos, pues me pesa haberlos hecho.
And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the ground; both man, and beast, and creeping thing, and fowl of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 Pero Noé halló gracia ante los ojos de Yavé.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9 Estos son los descendientes de Noé. Noé, varón justo, fue sin defecto en sus generaciones. Noé andaba con ʼElohim.
These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, [and] perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.
10 Noé engendró tres hijos: Sem, Cam y Jafet.
And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 Se corrompió la tierra en la Presencia de ʼElohim, y se llenó la tierra de violencia.
And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 ʼElohim vio la tierra, y ciertamente estaba corrompida, porque toda carne corrompió su camino sobre la tierra.
And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 Y ʼElohim dijo a Noé: Decidí el fin de todo ser viviente. Porque la tierra se llenó de violencia a causa de ellos. Mira, Yo los destruyo con la tierra.
And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Haz un arca de madera de ciprés. Harás compartimientos al arca y la calafatearás con brea por dentro y por fuera.
Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 Y de esta manera la harás: 135 metros será la longitud del arca, 22,5 metros su anchura, y 13,5 metros su altura.
And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 Harás una claraboya al arca y la terminarás a 45 centímetros de la parte alta. Pondrás una puerta en un lado del arca, y le harás planta baja, segunda y tercera.
A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 Y mira, yo traigo un diluvio de aguas sobre la tierra para destruir toda carne en la cual hay aliento de vida bajo el cielo. Todo lo que hay en la tierra perecerá.
And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18 Pero estableceré mi Pacto contigo. Entrarás en el arca, tú y tus hijos, tu esposa y las esposas de tus hijos.
But I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
19 También harás entrar en el arca dos de cada ser viviente de toda carne para que sobrevivan contigo. Serán macho y hembra.
And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 De las aves, según su especie. De las bestias, según su especie. De todo reptil del suelo, según su especie. Dos de cada especie irán a ti para sobrevivir.
Of the fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 Y toma para ti de todo alimento para comer y almacénalo contigo, pues será sustento para ti y para ellos.
And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22 Noé hizo conforme a todo lo que le ordenó ʼElohim. Así hizo.
Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
