Génesis 49
1 Jacob llamó a sus hijos y les dijo: Reúnanse y les declararé lo que les acontecerá en los días venideros.
And Jacob calleth unto his sons and saith, 'Be gathered together, and I declare to you that which doth happen with you in the latter end of the days.
2 Reúnanse y escuchen, hijos de Jacob, escuchen a su padre Israel:
'Be assembled, and hear, sons of Jacob, And hearken unto Israel your father.
3 Rubén, tú eres mi primogénito, Mi fuerza y primicia de mi vigor, Preeminente en dignidad, Preeminente en poder,
Reuben! my first-born thou, My power, and beginning of my strength, The abundance of exaltation, And the abundance of strength;
4 Impetuoso como las aguas. No serás el principal, Pues subiste al lecho de tu padre y lo profanaste. ¡Él subió a mi lecho!
Unstable as water, thou art not abundant; For thou hast gone up thy father's bed; Then thou hast polluted: My couch he went up!
5 Simeón y Leví son hermanos, Sus armas son instrumentos de injusticia.
Simeon and Levi [are] brethren! Instruments of violence — their espousals!
6 En su consejo no entre mi alma, Ni mi espíritu se una a su asamblea, Pues en su furia asesinaron hombres, Y en su temeridad desjarretaron bueyes.
Into their secret, come not, O my soul! Unto their assembly be not united, O mine honour; For in their anger they slew a man, And in their self-will eradicated a prince.
7 Maldita sea su cólera, que fue fiera, Y su furor, que fue cruel, Los dispersaré entre Jacob Y los esparciré entre Israel.
Cursed [is] their anger, for [it is] fierce, And their wrath, for [it is] sharp; I divide them in Jacob, And I scatter them in Israel.
8 Judá, te alabarán tus hermanos. Tu mano estará sobre el cuello de tus enemigos. Se inclinarán ante ti los hijos de tu padre.
Judah! thou — thy brethren praise thee! Thy hand [is] on the neck of thine enemies, Sons of thy father bow themselves to thee.
9 Cachorro de león es Judá, De la presa subiste, hijo mío, Se agazapa y acecha como un león, Y como un león, ¿quién se atreve a despertarlo?
A lion's whelp [is] Judah, For prey, my son, thou hast gone up; He hath bent, he hath crouched as a lion, And as a lioness; who causeth him to arise?
10 No será quitado el cetro de Judá, Ni el legislador de entre sus pies, Hasta que llegue Siloh, Y sea suya la obediencia de los pueblos.
The sceptre turneth not aside from Judah, And a lawgiver from between his feet, Till his Seed come; And his [is] the obedience of peoples.
11 Ata a la vid su pollino, Y a la cepa el pollino de su asna. Lava en vino su ropa, Y en sangre de uvas su manto.
Binding to the vine his ass, And to the choice vine the colt of his ass, He hath washed in wine his clothing, And in the blood of grapes his covering;
12 Sus ojos están turbios por el vino, Y sus dientes blancos por la leche.
Red [are] eyes with wine, And white [are] teeth with milk!
13 Zabulón habitará en la costa de los mares. Él será puerto de navíos, Y su extremo llegará hasta Sidón.
Zebulun at a haven of the seas doth dwell, And he [is] for a haven of ships; And his side [is] unto Zidon.
14 Isacar, asno robusto, Que se echa entre dos apriscos.
Issacher [is] a strong ass, Crouching between the two folds;
15 Vio que el descanso era bueno Y la tierra placentera. Inclinó su hombro para cargar. Fue un esclavo de trabajo forzado.
And he seeth rest that [it is] good, And the land that [it is] pleasant, And he inclineth his shoulder to bear, And is to tribute a servant.
16 Dan juzgará a su pueblo, Como una de las tribus de Israel.
Dan doth judge his people, As one of the tribes of Israel;
17 Dan será serpiente junto al camino, Víbora junto al sendero, Que muerde los talones del caballo, Y su jinete cae hacia atrás.
Dan is a serpent by the way, An adder by the path, Which is biting the horse's heels, And its rider falleth backward.
18 Espero tu salvación, oh Yavé.
For Thy salvation I have waited, Jehovah!
19 A Gad lo asaltarán salteadores, Pero él asaltará su retaguardia.
Gad! a troop assaulteth him, But he assaulteth last.
20 El pan de Aser es sustancioso, Y él producirá deleites reales.
Out of Asher his bread [is] fat; And he giveth dainties of a king.
21 Neftalí es venada suelta Que dará hermosas crías.
Naphtali [is] a hind sent away, Who is giving beauteous young ones.
22 Retoño fructífero es José, Retoño fructífero junto a un manantial, Sus ramas trepan sobre el muro.
Joseph [is] a fruitful son; A fruitful son by a fountain, Daughters step over the wall;
23 Lo amargaron, lo flecharon y lo aborrecieron los arqueros,
And embitter him — yea, they have striven, Yea, hate him do archers;
24 Pero su arco permaneció firme. Fueron fortalecidos los brazos de sus manos, Por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob. De allí es el Pastor, la Roca de Israel,
And his bow abideth in strength, And strengthened are the arms of his hands By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, Whence is a shepherd, a son of Israel.
25 Por el ʼEL de tu padre, Quien te ayudará, Por ʼEL-Shadday, Quien te bendecirá Con bendiciones de los cielos arriba, Con bendiciones de las profundidades abajo, Con bendiciones de los pechos y de la matriz.
By the God of thy father who helpeth thee, And the Mighty One who blesseth thee, Blessings of the heavens from above, Blessings of the deep lying under, Blessings of breasts and womb; —
26 Las bendiciones de tu padre Son mayores que las bendiciones de mis antepasados Hasta el límite extremo de las colinas eternas. Sean ellas sobre la cabeza de José, Y para la coronilla del príncipe entre sus hermanos.
Thy father's blessings have been mighty Above the blessings of my progenitors, Unto the limit of the heights age-during They are for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the one Separate [from] his brethren.
27 Benjamín, lobo depredador, En la mañana devorará la presa, Y por la tarde repartirá despojos.
Benjamin! a wolf teareth; In the morning he eateth prey, And at evening he apportioneth spoil.'
28 Todas estas son las 12 tribus de Israel, y esto es lo que les predijo su padre al bendecirlos a cada uno según la bendición que le correspondió.
All these [are] the twelve tribes of Israel, and this [is] that which their father hath spoken unto them, and he blesseth them; each according to his blessing he hath blessed them.
29 Luego les dio instrucciones y les dijo: Yo voy a ser reunido a mi pueblo. Sepúltenme con mis antepasados en la cueva que está en el campo de Efrón el heteo,
And he commandeth them, and saith unto them, 'I am being gathered unto my people; bury me by my fathers, at the cave which [is] in the field of Ephron the Hittite;
30 en la cueva que está frente a Mamre en el campo de la Macpela, en la tierra de Canaán, la cual Abraham compró con el campo de Efrón heteo, como propiedad para sepultura.
in the cave which [is] in the field of Machpelah, which [is] on the front of Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a burying-place;
31 Allí sepultaron a Abraham y a su esposa Sara. Allí sepultaron a Isaac y a su esposa Rebeca, y allí sepulté yo a Lea.
(there they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah);
32 El campo y la cueva que hay en él fueron comprados de los hijos de Het.
the purchase of the field and of the cave which [is] in it, [is] from Sons of Heth.'
33 Cuando Jacob concluyó de dar instrucciones a sus hijos, encogió sus pies en la cama y expiró. Y fue reunido a su pueblo.
And Jacob finisheth commanding his sons, and gathereth up his feet unto the bed, and expireth, and is gathered unto his people.
