Génesis 36
1 Estos son los descendientes de Esaú, el cual es Edom.
Now these are the generations of Esau (the same is Edom).
2 Esaú tomó sus esposas de entre las hijas de Canaán: a Ada, hija de Elón heteo, a Oholibama, hija de Aná, hijo de Zibeón heveo,
Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3 y a Bosemat, hija de Ismael, hermana de Nebayot.
and Basemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ada le dio a luz a Elifaz, Bosemat le dio a luz a Reuel y
And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Basemath bare Reuel;
5 Oholibama le dio a luz a Jeús, a Jaalam y a Coré. Estos son los hijos de Esaú que le nacieron en la tierra de Canaán.
and Oholibamah bare Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
6 Esaú tomó a sus esposas, a sus hijos e hijas, a todas las personas de su casa, sus rebaños y todos sus animales, y todos los bienes que adquirió en la tierra de Canaán, y salió a otra tierra a causa de su hermano Jacob,
And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan; and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.
7 porque los bienes de ellos eran demasiados para vivir juntos. La tierra de su peregrinación no los podía sostener a causa de sus ganados.
For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojournings could not bear them because of their cattle.
8 Así que Esaú habitó en la montaña de Seír. Esaú es Edom.
And Esau dwelt in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
9 Estos son los descendientes de Esaú, padre de los idumeos, en la montaña de Seír.
And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
10 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Esaú: Elifaz, hijo de Ada, una esposa de Esaú, y Reuel, hijo de Bosemat, otra esposa de Esaú.
these are the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
11 Los hijos de Elifaz fueron Temán, Omar, Zefo, Gatam y Cenaz.
And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Timná fue concubina de Elifaz, hijo de Esaú, la cual le dio a luz a Amalec. Tales fueron los hijos de Ada, esposa de Esaú.
And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these are the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.
13 Estos son los hijos de Reuel: Nahat, Zera, Sama y Miza. Tales fueron los hijos de Bosemat, esposa de Esaú.
And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Basemath Esau’s wife.
14 Estos fueron los hijos de Oholibama, esposa de Esaú, hija de Aná, hijo de Zibeón. Ella le dio a luz a Jeús, Jaalam y Coré.
And these were the sons of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
15 Estos fueron los jeques de los hijos de Esaú. Los hijos de Elifaz, primogénito de Esaú: los jeques Temán, Omar, Zefo, Cenaz,
These are the dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
16 Coré, Gatam y Amalec. Estos son los jeques provenientes de Elifaz en la tierra de Edom, los cuales fueron hijos de Ada.
duke Korah, duke Gatam, duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Adah.
17 Estos son los hijos de Reuel, hijo de Esaú: los jeques Nahat, Zera, Sama y Miza. Tales son los jeques provenientes de Reuel en tierra de Edom. Estos fueron los hijos de Bosemat, esposa de Esaú.
And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Basemath Esau’s wife.
18 Estos son los hijos de Oholibama, esposa de Esaú: los jeques Jeús, Jaalam y Coré. Estos son los jeques procedentes de Oholibama, esposa de Esaú, hija de Aná.
And these are the sons of Oholibamah Esau’s wife; duke Jeush, duke Jalam, duke Korah: these are the dukes that came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
19 Tales fueron los hijos de Esaú. Él es Edom, y tales fueron sus jeques.
These are the sons of Esau, and these are their dukes: the same is Edom.
20 Estos son los hijos de Seír el hurrita, habitantes de aquella tierra: Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Aná,
These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land; Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,
21 Disón, Ezer y Disán. Tales fueron los jeques de los hurritas, hijos de Seír en la tierra de Edom.
and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan: these are the dukes that came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
22 Los hijos de Lotán fueron: Hori y Hemam. Timná fue hermana de Lotán.
And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
23 Estos son los hijos de Sobal: Alván, Manahat, Ebal, Sefo y Onam.
And these are the children of Shobal; Alvan and Manahath and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24 Estos son los hijos de Zibeón: Aja y Aná. (Este Aná es el que halló aguas termales en el desierto cuando apacentaba los asnos de su padre Zibeón.)
And these are the children of Zibeon; Aiah and Anah: this is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
25 Estos son los hijos de Aná: Disón y Oholibama, hija de Aná.
And these are the children of Anah; Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
26 Estos son los hijos de Disón: Hemdán, Esbán, Itrán y Querán.
And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Cheran.
27 Estos son los hijos de Ezer: Bilhán, Zaaván y Acán.
These are the children of Ezer; Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
28 Estos son los hijos de Disán: Huz y Arán.
These are the children of Dishan; Uz and Aran.
29 Estos son los jeques de los hurritas: los jeques Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Aná,
These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,
30 Disón, Ezer y Disán. Estos fueron los jeques de los hurritas por sus familias en la tierra de Seír.
duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of the Horites, according to their dukes in the land of Seir.
31 Antes que un rey reinara sobre los hijos de Israel, estos fueron los reyes que reinaron en la tierra de Edom:
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
32 Bela, hijo de Beor, reinó en Edom, y el nombre de su ciudad fue Dinaba.
And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33 Murió Bela y reinó en su lugar Jobab, hijo de Zera, de Bosra.
And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
34 Jobab murió y reinó en su lugar Husam, de la tierra de Temán.
And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
35 Husam murió y reinó en su lugar Adad, hijo de Badad, el que derrotó a Madián en el campo de Moab, y el nombre de su ciudad, Avit.
And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
36 Adad murió y reinó en su lugar Samla, de Masreca.
And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
37 Samla murió y reinó en su lugar Saúl, de Rehobot del Río.
And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.
38 Saúl murió y reinó en su lugar Baal-hanán, hijo de Acbor.
And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
39 Baal-hanán, hijo de Acbor, murió y reinó en su lugar Adar. Su ciudad se llamaba Pau y su esposa Mehetabel, hija de Matred, hija de Mezahav.
And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
40 Estos son los nombres de los jeques de Esaú por sus familias, localidades y nombres: los jeques Timná, Alva, Jetet,
And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timna, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth;
41 Oholibama, Ela, Pinón,
duke Oholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon;
42 Cenaz, Temán, Mibzar,
duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar;
43 Magdiel e Hiram. Tales fueron los jeques de Edom, conforme a sus viviendas en la tierra de su posesión. Él es Esaú, padre de Edom.
duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau the father of the Edomites.
