1 Estos son los descendientes de Esaú, el cual es Edom.
The following is the genealogy of Esau (also known as Edom).
2 Esaú tomó sus esposas de entre las hijas de Canaán: a Ada, hija de Elón heteo, a Oholibama, hija de Aná, hijo de Zibeón heveo,
Esau married two Canaanite women: Adah, daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah, daughter of Anah, and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite.
3 y a Bosemat, hija de Ismael, hermana de Nebayot.
In addition he married Basemath, daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ada le dio a luz a Elifaz, Bosemat le dio a luz a Reuel y
Adah had a son for Esau named Eliphaz. Basemath had Reul.
5 Oholibama le dio a luz a Jeús, a Jaalam y a Coré. Estos son los hijos de Esaú que le nacieron en la tierra de Canaán.
Oholibamah had Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan.

Esau took his wives, sons and daughters, and everyone in his household, together with his livestock, all his other animals, and all the possessions he had gained while in Canaan, and went to live in a country far away from his brother Jacob.

He did this because the land they were living in couldn't support both of them with all their livestock.

These were the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz, son of Esau's wife Adah, and Reuel, son of Esau's wife Basemath.
11 Los hijos de Elifaz fueron Temán, Omar, Zefo, Gatam y Cenaz.
The sons of Eliphaz were: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Timná fue concubina de Elifaz, hijo de Esaú, la cual le dio a luz a Amalec. Tales fueron los hijos de Ada, esposa de Esaú.
Timna, the concubine of Esau's son Eliphaz, had Amalek for Eliphaz. These were the descendants of Esau's wife Adah.
13 Estos son los hijos de Reuel: Nahat, Zera, Sama y Miza. Tales fueron los hijos de Bosemat, esposa de Esaú.
These were the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. They were the descendants of Esau's wife Basemath.
14 Estos fueron los hijos de Oholibama, esposa de Esaú, hija de Aná, hijo de Zibeón. Ella le dio a luz a Jeús, Jaalam y Coré.
These were the sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah, daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon, whom she had for Esau: Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

These were the sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah: tribal leaders Jeush, Jalam, and Korah; they were the tribal leaders descended from Esau's wife Oholibamah, daughter of Anah.

The sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam. Timna was Lotan's sister.
23 Estos son los hijos de Sobal: Alván, Manahat, Ebal, Sefo y Onam.
These were the sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24 Estos son los hijos de Zibeón: Aja y Aná. (Este Aná es el que halló aguas termales en el desierto cuando apacentaba los asnos de su padre Zibeón.)
These were the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. (This was the Anah who discovered the hot springs in the desert while he was looking after the donkeys of his father Zibeon.)

When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah took over as king.
37 Samla murió y reinó en su lugar Saúl, de Rehobot del Río.
When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates took over as king.

When Shaul died, Baal-hanan, son of Achbor, took over as king.
39 Baal-hanán, hijo de Acbor, murió y reinó en su lugar Adar. Su ciudad se llamaba Pau y su esposa Mehetabel, hija de Matred, hija de Mezahav.
When Baal-hanan, son of Achbor, died, Hadad took over as king. The name of his town was Pau, and his wife's name was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-zahab.
