Ezequiel 1
1 El año 30, el cuarto mes, a cinco días del mes, aconteció que al estar yo en medio de los cautivos, junto al río Quebar, los cielos fueron abiertos y vi visiones de ʼElohim.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
2 A los cinco días del mes, el año quinto de la deportación del rey Joaquín,
On the fifth day of the month, in the fifth year of the captivity of King Jehoiachin,
3 la Palabra de Yavé vino expresamente al sacerdote Ezequiel, hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de los caldeos, junto al río Quebar. La mano de Yavé estuvo allí sobre él.
the word of Jehovah came to Ezekiel, the son of Buzi, the priest, in the land of the Chaldaeans, by the river Chebar; and the hand of Jehovah was there upon him.
4 Cuando miré, ciertamente venía una tempestad del norte, una gran nube con fuego y resplandor alrededor de ella. En su interior, en medio del fuego, había algo como metal resplandeciente.
And I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came from the north, a great cloud, and a mass of fire; and a brightness was round about it, and in the midst of it the appearance of bright brass, in the midst of the fire.
5 Dentro de ella había figuras que parecían cuatro seres vivientes, y su apariencia era como de hombres.
And in the midst of it were the forms of four living creatures. And this was their appearance. They had the form of a man.
6 Cada uno tenía cuatro caras y cuatro alas.
And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7 Sus piernas eran rectas. Sus pies, como pezuñas del becerro, brillaban como bronce abrillantado.
And their feet were upright; and the sole of their feet was as the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like polished brass.
8 Debajo de sus alas por sus cuatro lados tenían brazos humanos. Los cuatro tenían caras y alas.
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides, and all four had faces and wings.
9 Las alas se tocaban la una con la otra. No volvían sus caras al caminar, sino cada uno iba directamente hacia adelante.
Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not about when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 El aspecto de sus caras era como de hombres, pero los cuatro tenían caras de león por el lado derecho y caras de buey por el izquierdo. También tenían caras de águila.
As for the form of their faces, all four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side, and all four had the face of an ox on the left side, and all four had also the face of an eagle.
11 Así eran sus caras. Sus alas estaban desplegadas hacia arriba. Cada uno tenía dos alas que se tocaban y otras dos que cubrían sus cuerpos.
Thus were their faces. And their wings were expanded upward; two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies.
12 Cada uno caminaba hacia adelante. Iban adonde el Espíritu los movía y caminaban sin devolverse.
And they went every one straight forward; whither the spirit was to go, they went, and they turned not about when they went.
13 Dentro de los seres vivientes había algo que parecía como brasas de fuego encendidas como antorchas que se movían de un lado a otro. Había un gran resplandor del cual salían relámpagos.
And the appearance of the living creatures was as coals of fire, burning like torches; and the fire moved about among the living creatures, and shone forth brightly; and out of the fire came forth lightning.
14 Los seres vivientes corrían y volvían como destellos de relámpagos.
And the living creatures ran backward and forward like a flash of lightning.
15 Mientras contemplaba a los seres vivientes, vi que había una rueda en la tierra junto a cada uno de los cuatro.
Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold, there stood a wheel upon the earth by each of the living creatures, with its four sides.
16 El aspecto y estructura de las ruedas era como el del berilo. Las cuatro tenían la misma apariencia y su estructura era como una rueda en medio de la otra.
The appearance of the wheels, and their work, was like that of a chrysolite, and all four had one form, and their appearance and their work was as if a wheel had been within a wheel.
17 Cuando se movían iban hacia cualquiera de las cuatro direcciones sin tener que girar a un lado cuando se movían.
When they went, they went upon their four sides, and they turned not about when they went.
18 Sus circunferencias eran altas y asombrosas, pues las cuatro tenían sus circunferencias llenas de ojos alrededor.
As for their felloes, they were high and terrible; and their felloes were full of eyes round about upon all four of them.
19 Cuando los seres vivientes andaban, las ruedas andaban con ellos, y cuando se levantaban sobre la tierra, las ruedas también se levantaban.
And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20 Iban adonde el Espíritu iba, y las ruedas se levantaban hacia donde el Espíritu las llevaba. Las ruedas se levantaban junto con ellos, porque el Espíritu de los seres vivientes estaba en las ruedas.
Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, whithersoever the spirit was to go; and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 Cuando ellos iban, ellas iban. Cuando ellos se detenían, ellas se detenían. Cuando ellos se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban junto con ellos, porque el Espíritu de los seres vivientes estaba en ellas.
When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22 Sobre las cabezas de los seres vivientes había algo como una expansión, como un maravilloso cristal extendido sobre sus cabezas.
And over the heads of the living creatures was the appearance of a firmament, like crystal, terrible, spread out over their heads above.
23 Debajo de la expansión, sus alas expandidas se tocaban entre ellas. Cada uno tenía dos alas que cubrían su cuerpo por ambos lados.
And under the firmament were their wings upright, the one toward the other; and every one had two, which covered his body.
24 Cuando avanzaban, oía el ruido de sus alas como el estruendo de aguas caudalosas, como la voz de ʼEL-Shadday, ruido tumultuoso como el estruendo del campamento de un ejército. Al detenerse plegaban las alas.
And I heard the sound of their wings, as the sound of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, when they went, —a sound like the noise of a host. And when they stood still, they let down their wings.
25 Cuando se oía una voz de encima de la expansión que estaba sobre sus cabezas, se detenían y plegaban sus alas.
And there was a voice from the firmament, that was over their heads; and they stood still, and let down their wings.
26 Sobre la expansión que tenían encima de sus cabezas había algo que tenía la apariencia de una piedra de zafiro, que parecía un trono, y sobre la semejanza de trono, una apariencia de hombre encima de él.
And above the firmament over their heads was an appearance like a sapphire-stone, the form of a throne; and upon the form of the throne there was a form like that of a man above.
27 Entonces noté, por la apariencia de su cintura hacia arriba y hacia abajo, algo como el bronce abrillantado, que parecía fuego. Resplandecía alrededor.
And I saw what had the appearance of bright brass, what had the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins and upward. And from the appearance of his loins downward I saw what had the appearance of fire, and its brightness was round about him.
28 Se parecía al arco que suele aparecer en la nube en día de lluvia. Tal era la apariencia del resplandor alrededor de Él. Tal fue la visión de la apariencia de la gloria de Yavé. Cuando la vi, caí sobre mi rostro. Entonces oí una voz que hablaba.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw it I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one who spoke.
