Ezequiel 25

1 La Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Hijo de hombre, dirige tu rostro hacia los hijos de Amón y profetiza contra ellos:

Son of man, set thy face against the sons of 'Ammon, and prophesy against them;

3 Oigan la Palabra de ʼAdonay Yavé. ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por cuanto dijiste: ¡Qué bueno! Cuando mi Santuario era profanado, la tierra de Israel era asolada y la Casa de Judá era llevada en cautiverio,

And say unto the sons of 'Ammon, Hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou hast said, Aha, concerning my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and concerning the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and concerning the house of Judah, when they went into exile:

4 Yo te entregaré en posesión a los hijos del oriente. Ellos asentarán sus campamentos y pondrán sus moradas en ti. Comerán tus frutos y beberán la leche que te pertenece.

Therefore, behold, I will give thee up to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set up their towers in thee, and place in thee their dwellings; they shall indeed eat thy fruit, and they shall surely drink thy milk.

5 Haré de Rabá una morada de camellos, y [las ciudades] de los hijos de Amón un lugar de descanso para rebaños. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé.

And I will change Rabbah into a pasture for camels, and [the land of] the sons of 'Ammon into a resting-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

6 Porque ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por el aplauso de tus manos y el pisoteo de tus pies, y porque te regocijaste con toda tu alma contra la tierra de Israel,

For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thou didst clap thy hands, and stamp with thy feet, and rejoice with all thy derision in the soul over the land of Israel:

7 por tanto, Yo extenderé mi mano contra ti y te daré como despojo a las naciones. Te cortaré de los pueblos, te extirparé de entre las naciones y te destruiré. Y sabrás que Yo soy Yavé.

Therefore, behold, will I stretch out my hand over thee, and will give thee up for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries; I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

8 ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por cuanto Moab y Seír dijeron: ¡La Casa de Judá es como todos los demás pueblos!

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because Moab and Se'ir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations:

9 Por tanto ciertamente Yo abro el costado de Moab desde sus ciudades fronterizas hasta las tierras deseables de Bet-jesimot, Baalmeón y Quiriataim.

Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-ha-yeshimoth, Ba'al-me'on, and Kiryathayim,

10 Se las daré como posesión junto con los hijos de Amón, a los hijos del oriente, de modo que los hijos de Amón no serán recordados entre las naciones.

Unto the children of the east [coming] against the sons of 'Ammon, and I will give them in possession; in order that the sons of 'Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

11 Así juzgaré a Moab. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé.

And on Moab will I execute judgments: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

12 ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por lo que Edom hizo cuando tomó venganza de la Casa de Judá, pues delinquieron muchísimo y se vengaron de ellos,

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Edomites have acted revengefully against the house of Judah, and have greatly offended, and have taken vengeance on them:

13 ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Yo extenderé mi mano sobre Edom. Cortaré de ella hombres y animales, y la desolaré. Desde Temán hasta Dedán caerán a espada.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it a ruined land from Theman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

14 Descargaré mi venganza sobre Edom por medio de mi pueblo Israel. Actuarán en Edom según mi ira y según mi furor. Conocerán mi venganza, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.

And I will display my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my fury: and they shall feel my vengeance, saith the Lord Eternal.

15 ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por lo que hicieron los filisteos con venganza, y aniquilaron con despecho de ánimo a causa de la antigua hostilidad,

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Philistines have acted in revenge, and have taken vengeance with derision in their soul, to destroy out of ancient enmity:

16 ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Ciertamente Yo extiendo mi mano contra los filisteos, cortaré a los cereteos y destruiré el resto de la costa del mar.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethim, and destroy the remnant of the [dwellers] of the sea-coast.

17 Ejecutaré en ellos una gran venganza con airadas reprensiones. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé cuando tome mi venganza de ellos.

And I will execute on them great vengeances with furious chastisements: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I display my vengeance on them.
