Éxodo 6
1 Yavé dijo a Moisés: Ahora verás lo que Yo haré a Faraón, porque por mano fuerte los dejará ir, y por mano fuerte los expulsará de su tierra.
Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. You will see this, for he will let them go because of my strong hand. Because of my strong hand, he will drive them out of his land.”
2 Y ʼElohim habló a Moisés: Yo soy Yavé.
God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am Yahweh.
3 Yo me aparecí a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob como ʼEL-Shadday, pero no me dí a conocer a ellos con mi Nombre Yavé.
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty; but by my name, Yahweh, I was not known to them.
4 También establecí mi Pacto con ellos para darles la tierra de Canaán, tierra de sus peregrinaciones en la cual vivieron.
I also established my covenant with them, in order to give them the land of Canaan, the land where they lived as non-citizens, the land in which they wandered about.
5 Además Yo escuché el gemido de los hijos de Israel, porque los egipcios los mantienen en esclavitud, y recordé mi Pacto.
Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites whom the Egyptians have enslaved, and I have called to mind my covenant.
6 Por tanto, dí a los hijos de Israel: Yo soy Yavé. Los sacaré de debajo de las cargas de los egipcios y los libraré de su esclavitud. También los redimiré con brazo extendido y con grandes juicios.
Therefore, say to the Israelites, 'I am Yahweh. I will bring you out from slavery under the Egyptians, and I will free you from their power. I will rescue you with a display of my power, and with mighty acts of judgment.
7 Entonces los tomaré para Mí como mi pueblo y seré para ustedes su ʼElohim. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé su ʼElohim, Quien los sacó de debajo de las cargas de los egipcios.
I will take you to myself as my people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out from slavery under the Egyptians.
8 Los llevaré a la tierra que juré dar a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, y se la daré en posesión. Yo, Yavé.
I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am Yahweh.'”
9 Moisés habló así a los hijos de Israel, pero ellos no escucharon a Moisés a causa de la impaciencia de espíritu y la cruel esclavitud.
When Moses told this to the Israelites, they would not listen to him because of their discouragement about their harsh slavery.
10 Entonces Yavé habló a Moisés:
Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
11 Entra, dile a Faraón, rey de Egipto, que deje salir de su tierra a los hijos de Israel.
“Go tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to let the people of Israel go from his land.”
12 Y Moisés habló ante Yavé: Mira, los hijos de Israel no me escuchan. ¿Cómo me escuchará Faraón? Porque yo soy de labios incircuncisos.
Moses said to Yahweh, “If the Israelites have not listened to me, why will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am not good at speaking?”
13 Entonces Yavé habló a Moisés y a Aarón y les dio instrucciones para los hijos de Israel y para Faraón, rey de Egipto, a fin de sacar a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto.
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron. He gave them a command for the Israelites and for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
14 Estos son los jefes de las familias paternas: Los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi. Estas son las familias de Rubén.
These were the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanok, Pallu, Hezron, and Karmi. These were the clan ancestors of Reuben.
15 Los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zoar y Saúl, hijo de una cananea. Estas son las familias de Simeón.
The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul—the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clan ancestors of Simeon.
16 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Leví por sus linajes: Gersón, Coat y Merari. Y los años de la vida de Leví fueron 137 años.
Here are listed the names of the sons of Levi, together with their descendants. They were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived until he was 137 years old.
17 Los hijos de Gersón: Libni y Simei, por sus familias.
The sons of Gershon were Libni and Shimei.
18 Los hijos de Coat: Amram, Izar, Hebrón y Uziel. Y la duración de la vida de Coat fue 133 años.
The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath lived until he was 133 years old.
19 Los hijos de Merari: Mahli y Musi. Estas son las familias de los levitas según sus generaciones.
The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These became the clan ancestors of the Levites, together with their descendants.
20 Amram tomó como esposa a su tía Jocabed, la cual le dio a luz a Aarón y a Moisés. Y los años de la vida de Amram fueron 137 años.
Amram married Jochebed, his father's sister. She bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years and then died.
21 Los hijos de Izar: Cora, Nefeg y Zicri.
The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
22 Los hijos de Uziel: Misael, Elzafán y Sitri.
The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
23 Aarón tomó como esposa a Elizabet hija de Aminadab, hermana de Naasón, la cual le dio a luz a Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Nahshon. She bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24 Los hijos de Coré: Asir, Elcana y Abiasaf. Estas son las familias de los coreítas.
The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the clan ancestors of the Korahites.
25 Eleazar, hijo de Aarón, tomó para él una esposa de las hijas de Futiel, la cual le dio a luz a Finees. Estos son los jefes paternos de los levitas según sus familias.
Eleazar, Aaron's son, married one of the daughters of Putiel. She bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the fathers' houses among the Levites, together with their descendants.
26 Éstos fueron aquel Aarón y aquel Moisés a quienes Yavé dijo: Saquen a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto organizados como escuadrones.
These two men were the Aaron and Moses to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the Israelites from the land of Egypt, by their groups of fighting men.”
27 Ellos fueron los que hablaron a Faraón para sacar de Egipto a los hijos de Israel. Estos fueron Moisés y Aarón.
Aaron and Moses spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to allow them bring out the Israelites from Egypt. These were the same Moses and Aaron.
28 Ahora bien, sucedió que el día cuando Yavé habló a Moisés en la tierra de Egipto,
When Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
29 Yavé se dirigió a Moisés: Yo soy Yavé. Habla a Faraón, rey de Egipto, todas las cosas que te digo.
he said to him, “I am Yahweh. Say to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, everything that I will tell you.”
30 Pero Moisés respondió a Yavé: Mira, yo soy incircunciso de labios. ¿Cómo, pues, me escuchará Faraón?
But Moses said to Yahweh, “I am not good at speaking, so why will Pharaoh listen to me?”
