Éxodo 28
1 De entre los hijos de Israel ordenarás que tu hermano Aarón y sus hijos se presenten ante ti, para que me ministren como sacerdotes Aarón y sus hijos Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
Thou thyself, therefore bring near unto thee—Aaron thy brother and his sons with him out of the midst of the sons of Israel, that they may minister as priests unto me, —Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar sons of Aaron.
2 Para tu hermano Aarón harás ropas sagradas que le den honra y esplendor.
And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, —for glory and for beauty.
3 Tú hablarás a todos los sabios de corazón, a quienes llené de espíritu de sabiduría, para que hagan las ropas de Aarón a fin de consagrarlo para que me sirva como sacerdote.
Thou thyself, therefore, shalt speak unto all the wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, —and they shall make Aaron’s garments, to hallow him for ministering as priest unto me.
4 Éstas son las ropas que harán: el pectoral, el efod, el manto, la túnica bordada, el turbante y el cinturón. Harán ropas sagradas para tu hermano Aarón y sus hijos a fin de que me sirvan como sacerdotes.
These, therefore are the garments which they shall make—a breastpiece, and an ephod and a robe, and a tunic of checker work, a turban and a girdle, —so shall they make holy garments for Aaron thy brother and for his sons, for ministering as priests unto me.
5 Utilizarán para ello el oro y [tela] azul, púrpura y carmesí y el cordoncillo de lino fino.
They themselves, therefore, shall take the gold, and the blue and the purple, —and the crimson, and the fine linen.
6 Como obra de artífice harán el efod de oro y [tela] azul, púrpura y carmesí y cordoncillo de lino fino.
And they shall make the ephod, —of gold, blue and purple crimson and fine-twined linen, the work of a skilful weaver.
7 Tendrá dos hombreras que unirán sus dos extremos para que queden entrelazadas.
Two joining shoulderpieces, shall there be to it upon the two extremities thereof that it may be joined together,
8 La faja para ajustar el efod que está por encima será de su misma labor y de los mismos materiales: de oro y [tela] azul, púrpura y carmesí y cordoncillo de lino fino.
And the curious band for fastening it, that is upon it, like the work thereof of the same, shall it be, —of gold blue and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen,
9 Tomarás dos piedras de ónice y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel:
And thou shalt take two onyx stones, —and engrave upon them the names of the sons of Israel:
10 Seis de sus nombres en una piedra y los nombres de los otros seis en la otra piedra, conforme a su nacimiento.
six of their names, on the one stone, —and the names of the six that remain, on the second stone according to their births:
11 Como un grabador graba un sello en piedra, grabarás las dos piedras con los nombres de los hijos de Israel. Les harás alrededor engastes de oro.
with the work of a stone engraver, like seal-ring engravings, shalt thou engrave the two stones, after the names of the sons of Israel, —to be encircled with settings of gold, shalt thou make them.
12 Pondrás aquellas dos piedras sobre las hombreras del efod como piedras memoriales para los hijos de Israel. Aarón llevará sus nombres sobre sus dos hombros en la Presencia de Yavé como memorial.
And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, —so shall Aaron bear their names before Yahweh upon his two shoulders, for a memorial.
13 Harás engastes de oro
And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
14 y dos cadenillas de oro puro. Las harás como cordones trenzados, y fijarás las cadenillas trenzadas en los engastes.
and two chains of pure gold, like cord, shalt thou make them, of wreathen work, and thou shalt put the wreathen chains on the ouches.
15 También harás de obra primorosa el pectoral del juicio. Lo harás como la obra del efod: de oro y [tela] azul, púrpura y carmesí y cordoncillo de lino fino.
And thou shalt make a breastpiece for giving sentence the work of a skilful weaver, like the work of the ephod, shalt thou make it, of gold, blue, and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16 Será cuadrado, doble, de 22,5 centímetros su longitud y su anchura.
Four-square, shall it be double, —a span the length thereof and a span the breadth thereof.
17 Lo adornarás con engastes de pedrería, cuatro hileras de piedras. La primera hilera: un rubí, un topacio y una esmeralda.
And thou shalt set therein a setting of stones, four rows of stones, —one row—a sardius, a topaz and an emerald, the first row;
18 La segunda hilera: una turquesa, un zafiro y un diamante.
and the second row a carbuncle a sapphire and a diamond;
19 La tercera hilera: un jacinto, un ágata y una amatista.
and the third row an opal, an agate, and an amethyst;
20 La cuarta hilera: un berilo, un ónice y un jaspe. Estarán montadas en engastes de oro.
and the fourth row, a Tarshish stone, a sardonyx, and a jasper, —enclosed with gold, shall they be when they are set.
21 Las piedras serán según los nombres de los 12 hijos de Israel, grabadas como se hace en un sello, cada [piedra] con el nombre de una tribu.
And the stones shall be after the names of the sons of Israel—twelve, after their names, —as the engravings of a seal-ring everyone after his name, shall they be, for the twelve tribes,
22 Para el pectoral harás cadenillas de oro puro, trenzadas a modo de cordón.
And thou shalt make, upon the breastpiece, chains like cords of wreathen work, —of pure gold.
23 Harás dos anillos de oro en el pectoral, y los sujetarás en los dos extremos del pectoral.
And thou shalt make, upon the breastpiece, two rings of gold, —and thou shalt place the two rings, upon the two ends of the breastpiece.
24 Introducirás las dos cadenillas de oro en los dos anillos que están en los dos extremos del pectoral.
And thou shalt hang the two wreathen chains of gold upon the two rings, —upon the ends of the breastpiece;
25 Pondrás sobre los dos engastes los dos extremos de las cadenillas y los fijarás a las correas del efod por la parte delantera.
and the other two ends of the two wreathen chains, shalt thou fasten upon the two ouches, so shalt thou hang them upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, in the forefront thereof.
26 Harás dos anillos de oro y los pondrás en los dos extremos del pectoral, sobre el borde por dentro del otro lado del efod.
And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastpiece upon the border thereof, which is on the side of the ephod inwards.
27 Harás dos anillos de oro y los fijarás por debajo de las dos hombreras del efod en la parte delantera, junto a su unión por encima de la faja artísticamente tejida del efod.
And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and place them upon the two shoulderpieces of the ephod beneath, on the front of the face thereof, over against its joining, above the curious band of the ephod:
28 Por sus anillos atarán el pectoral a los anillos del efod con un cordón azul, de modo que esté sobre la faja del efod para que no se desprenda el pectoral del efod.
that they may bind the breastpiece by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue, so that it may remain upon the curious band of the ephod, and the breastpiece not be removed from of the ephod.
29 Cuando Aarón entre en el Santuario llevará los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el pectoral del juicio sobre su corazón para memoria continua delante de Yavé.
So shall Aaron bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece for giving sentence upon his heart when he goeth into the holy place, —for a memorial before Yahweh continually.
30 En el pectoral del juicio pondrás el Urim y Tumim, para que estén sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entre delante de Yavé. Aarón llevará continuamente el juicio de los hijos de Israel sobre su corazón delante de Yavé.
Thus shalt thou place, in the breastpiece for giving sentence, the lights and the perfections, so shall they be upon the heart of Aaron when he goeth in before Yahweh, —so shall Aaron bear the sentence of the sons of Israel, upon his heart before Yahweh continually.
31 Harás el manto del efod todo de azul.
And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod wholly of blue;
32 En medio de él, en la parte superior, habrá una abertura con una orla alrededor, obra de tejedor, como el cuello de una coraza para que no se rompa.
and the opening for his head shall be in the midst thereof, —a border, shall there be to the opening thereof round about the work of a weaver, like the opening of a coat of mail, shall there be to it, it must not be rent.
33 En sus orillas harás granadas de azul, púrpura y carmesí, y entre ellas campanillas de oro alrededor de su borde.
And thou shalt make upon the skirts thereof pomegranates of blue and purple and crimson, upon the skirts thereof round about—and bells of gold in the midst of them round about:
34 Una campanilla de oro y una granada [y de ese modo] por las orillas alrededor de todo el manto.
a bell of gold and a pomegranate, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, —upon the skirts of the robe, round about.
35 Estará sobre Aarón cuando ministre. Así se oirá su sonido cuando él entre en el Santuario a la Presencia de Yavé y cuando salga, para que no muera.
And it shall be upon Aaron, for ministering, —so shall be heard the sound of him—when he goeth into the holy place, before Yahweh, and cometh out, and dieth not.
36 Además harás una lámina de oro puro. Grabarás en ella como se graba con un sello: Santidad a Yavé,
And thou shalt make a burnished plate, of pure gold, —and shalt engrave thereupon, like the engravings of a seal-ring, Holiness to Yahweh.
37 la cual pondrás con un cordón azul sobre la parte frontal del turbante,
And thou shalt put it upon a cord of blue, so shall it be upon the turban, —upon the forefront of the turban, shall it be.
38 y estará sobre la frente de Aarón. Aarón cargará la culpa relacionada con las cosas sagradas que los hijos de Israel consagren en todas sus ofrendas sagradas, y estará continuamente sobre su frente para hacerlos aceptos delante de Yavé.
So shall it be upon the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the hallowed things, which the sons of Israel shall hallow, for all their hallowed gift, —and it shall be upon his forehead continually, that there may be acceptance for them before Yahweh.
39 Tejerás la túnica de lino, y harás un turbante de lino. Harás también la faja, obra de tejedor.
And thou shalt weave, in checker work the tunic of fine linen, and shalt make a turban of fine linen, —and, a girdle, shalt thou make the work of an embroiderer.
40 Harás túnicas para los hijos de Aarón. Les harás fajas y turbantes para honra y esplendor.
And, for the sons of Aaron, shalt thou make tunics, and shalt make for them girdles, —and caps, shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
41 Con ellas vestirás a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos. Los ungirás y consagrarás para que me sirvan como sacerdotes.
And thou shalt clothe therewith Aaron thy brother, and his sons, with him, —and shalt anoint them and install them, and hallow them, so shall they minister as priests unto me.
42 Les harás también unos calzoncillos de lino para cubrir su desnudez desde la cintura hasta los muslos.
And thou shalt make for them breeches of linen, to cover their unseemliness, from the loins even unto the thighs, shall they be;
43 Aarón y sus hijos estarán cubiertos con ellos cuando entren en el Tabernáculo de Reunión o cuando se acerquen al altar para ministrar en el Santuario a fin de que no tengan culpa y mueran. Es estatuto perpetuo para él y para sus descendientes.
so shall they be upon Aaron and upon his sons, when they go into the tent of meeting, or when they approach unto the altar, to minister in the holy place, lest they bear iniquity, and die, —a statute age-abiding, to him and to his seed after him.
