Éxodo 16
1 Salieron de Elim. Toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel salió de Elim y llegó al desierto de Sin, que está entre Elim y Sinaí, a los 15 días del segundo mes después de la salida de la tierra de Egipto.
And thei yeden forth fro Helym, and al the multitude of the sones of Israel cam in to deseert of Syn, which is bitwixe Helym and Synai, in the fiftenethe dai of the secunde monethe aftir that thei yeden out of the lond of Egipt.
2 Entonces toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel murmuró contra Moisés y Aarón en el desierto.
And al the congregacioun of the sones of Israel grutchide ayens Moises, and ayens Aaron, in the wildirnesse.
3 Los hijos de Israel les decían: ¡Ojalá hubiéramos muerto por la mano de Yavé en la tierra de Egipto, cuando nos sentábamos junto a las ollas de carne, cuando comíamos pan hasta la saciedad! Ustedes nos sacaron a este desierto para matar de hambre a toda esta multitud.
And the sones of Israel seiden to hem, We wolden that we hadden be deed bi the `hoond of the Lord in the lond of Egipt, whanne we saten on the `pottis of fleisch, and eeten looues in plentee; whi leden ye vs in to this deseert, that ye schulden sle al the multitude with hungur?
4 Yavé dijo a Moisés: Mira, Yo hago llover pan del cielo para ustedes. Saldrá el pueblo y recogerá la ración diaria cada día, a fin de Yo probarlo, si anda en mi Ley, o no.
Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Lo! Y schal reyne to you looues fro heuene; the puple go out, that it gadere tho thingis that sufficen bi ech day; that Y asaie the puple, whethir it goith in my lawe, ether nai.
5 Pero en el sexto día, cuando preparen lo que van a llevar a casa, será el doble de lo que recogen diariamente.
Sotheli in the sixte dai make thei redi that that thei schulen bere yn, and be it double ouer that thei weren wont to gadere bi ech dai.
6 Moisés y Aarón dijeron a todos los hijos de Israel: En la tarde comprenderán que Yavé los sacó de la tierra de Egipto,
And Moises and Aaron seiden to alle the sones of Israel, At euentid ye schulen wite that the Lord ledde you out of the lond of Egipt;
7 y por la mañana verán la gloria de Yavé, porque Él escuchó sus murmuraciones contra Yavé. Pues nosotros, ¿quiénes somos para que murmuren contra nosotros?
and in the morewetid ye schulen se the glorie of the Lord; for Y herde youre grutchyng ayens the Lord; sotheli what ben we, for ye grutchen ayens us?
8 Y Moisés dijo: Cuando Yavé les dé por la tarde carne para comer, y por la mañana pan hasta saciarlos, será porque Yavé escuchó sus murmuraciones que expresaron contra Él, porque nosotros, ¿quiénes somos? Sus murmuraciones no son contra nosotros, sino contra Yavé.
And Moises seide, The Lord schal yyue to you at euentid fleischis to ete, and looues in the morewetid in plentee, for he herde youre grutchyngis, bi which ye grutchiden ayens hym; for whi, what ben we? youre grutchyng is not ayens vs but ayens the Lord.
9 Y Moisés dijo a Aarón: Dí a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel: Acérquense ante la Presencia de Yavé, pues Él escuchó sus murmuraciones.
And Moises seide to Aaron, Seie thou to al the congregacioun of the sones of Israel, Neiye ye bifore the Lord, for he herde youre grutchyng.
10 Sucedió que mientras Aarón hablaba a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, miraron hacia el desierto, ¡y ahí apareció la gloria de Yavé en la nube!
And whanne Aaron spak to al the cumpeny of the sones of Israel, thei bihelden to the wildirnesse, and lo! the glorie of the Lord apperide in a cloude.
11 Yavé habló a Moisés:
Forsothe the Lord spak to Moises,
12 Yo escuché las murmuraciones de los hijos de Israel. Diles: Al llegar la noche comerán carne, y por la mañana se saciarán de pan. Y entenderán que Yo soy Yavé su ʼElohim.
and seide, Y herde the grutchyngis of the sones of Israel; spek thou to hem, At euentid ye schulen ete fleischis, and in the morewtid ye schulen be fillid with looues, and ye schulen wite that Y am `youre Lord God.
13 Ocurrió que al llegar la noche salieron las codornices y cubrieron el campamento. En la mañana había una capa de rocío alrededor del campamento.
Therfor euentid was maad, and `curlewes stieden and hiliden the castels; and in the morewtid deew cam bi the face of the castels.
14 Cuando la capa de rocío se evaporó, ahí estaba sobre la superficie del desierto una cosa menuda como escamas, delgada como la escarcha sobre la tierra.
And whanne it hadde hilid the erthe, a litil thing, and as powned with a pestel, in the licnesse of an hoorfrost on erthe, apperide in the wildirnesse.
15 Cuando los hijos de Israel la vieron, se dijeron unos a otros: ¿Maná? [Es decir]: ¿Qué es esto? Pues no sabían qué era eso. Entonces Moisés les dijo: Esto es el pan que Yavé les da para comer.
And whanne the sones of Israel hadden seyn that, thei seiden to gidere, Man hu? which signyfieth, what is this? for thei wisten not what it was. To whiche Moises seide, This is the breed, which the Lord hath youe to you to ete.
16 Esto es lo que Yavé ordenó: Recoja de él cada hombre tanto como va a comer: Conforme al número de personas que cada uno tiene en su tienda, un gomer por persona.
This is the word which the Lord comaundide, Ech man gadere therof as myche as suffisith to be etun, gomor bi ech heed, bi the noumbre of youre soulis that dwellen in the tabernacle, so ye schulen take.
17 Así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel, y recogieron unos más, otros menos.
And the sones of Israel diden so, and thei gaderiden oon more, another lesse;
18 Lo medían por gomer, y no sobraba al que recogió mucho, ni faltaba al que recogió poco. Cada uno recogió tanto como iba a comer.
and thei metiden at the mesure gomor; nethir he that gaderide more had more, nethir he that made redi lesse fond lesse, but alle gaderiden bi that that thei myyten ete.
19 Moisés les dijo: Ninguno deje algo de él para la mañana.
And Moises seide to hem, Noon leeue therof in to the morewtid; whiche herden not him,
20 Pero no obedecieron a Moisés, sino algunos dejaron de él hasta el día siguiente, y crió gusanos y hedió. Y Moisés se airó contra ellos.
but summe of hem leften til to the morewtid, and it bigan to buyle with wormes, and it was rotun; and Moises was wrooth ayens hem.
21 Así pues, lo recogían de mañana en mañana, cada uno según lo que iba a comer. Cuando el sol calentaba, se derretía.
Forsothe alle gaderiden in the morewtid as myche as `miyte suffice to be eten; and whanne the sunne was hoot, it was moltun.
22 Sucedió que el sexto día recogieron el doble de alimento, 4,4 litros para cada uno. Todos los principales de la congregación acudieron a Moisés, y le informaron.
Sotheli in the sixte dai thei gaderiden double metis, that is, `twei gomor by ech man. Forsothe alle the princis of the multitude camen, and telden to Moises, which seide to hem,
23 Él les dijo: Esto es lo que Yavé dijo: Mañana es sábado santo para Yavé. Lo que van a hornear, hornéenlo. Lo que van a cocinar, cocínenlo, y todo lo que sobre, deposítenlo para conservarlo hasta mañana.
This it is that the Lord spak, The reste of the sabot is halewid to the Lord, do ye what euer thing schal be wrouyt to morewe, and sethe ye tho thingis that schulen be sodun; sotheli what euer thing is residue, kepe ye til in to the morewe.
24 Lo depositaron hasta el día siguiente, como Moisés ordenó, y no hedió ni hubo gusano en él.
And thei diden so as Moises comaundide, and it was not rotun, nether a worm was foundun ther ynne.
25 Moisés dijo: Cómanlo hoy, porque hoy es sábado para Yavé. Hoy no lo hallarán en el campo.
And Moises seide, Ete ye that in this dai, for it is the sabat of the Lord, it schal not be foundun to dai in the feeld; gadere ye in sixe daies,
26 Seis días lo recogerán, pero el séptimo día es sábado. En él no habrá.
forsothe the sabat of the Lord is in the seuenthe dai, therfor it schal not be foundun.
27 Sin embargo, aconteció que algunos del pueblo salieron a recoger el día séptimo, y no encontraron.
The seuenthe dai cam, and summe of the puple yeden out `to gadire, and thei founden not.
28 Entonces Yavé dijo a Moisés: ¿Hasta cuándo rehusarán guardar mis Mandamientos y mis Leyes?
Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Hou long `nylen ye kepe my comaundementis, and my lawe?
29 Miren que Yavé les dio el sábado, por tanto en el sexto día les da pan para dos días. Permanezca cada uno en su sitio, y nadie salga de su lugar el sábado.
Se ye that the Lord yaf to you the sabat, and for this he yaf to you in the sixte dai double meetis; ech man dwelle at him silf, noon go out of his place in the seuenthe dai.
30 El pueblo reposó el sábado.
And the puple kepte sabat in the seuenthe dai.
31 La casa de Israel lo llamó maná. Era como semillas de cilantro blanco, y su sabor era como de hojuelas con miel.
And the hous of Israel clepide the name therof man, which was whijt as the seed of coriandre, and the taast therof was as of flour with hony.
32 Moisés dijo: Esto es lo que Yavé ordenó: Llenen 2,2 litros de él, y consérvenlo a través de sus generaciones para que vean el pan que Yo les dí a comer en el desierto cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto.
Forsothe Moises seide, This is the word which the Lord comaundide, Fille thou a gomor therof, and be it kept in to generaciouns to comynge aftirward, that thei knowe the breed bi which Y fedde you in the wildirnesse, whanne ye weren led out of the lond of Egipt.
33 Y Moisés dijo a Aarón: Toma una vasija y pon en ella 2,2 litros de maná, y ponlo delante de Yavé a fin de conservarlo a través de sus generaciones.
And Moises seide to Aaron, Take thou o vessel, and putte therinne man, as myche as gomor mai take, and putte bifore the Lord, to be kept in to youre generaciouns,
34 Aarón lo puso delante del Testimonio para guardarlo, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
as the Lord comaundide to Moises; and Aaron puttide that to be kept in the tabernacle.
35 Así los hijos de Israel comieron maná 40 años, hasta que llegaron a una tierra habitada. Comieron maná hasta que llegaron al límite de la tierra de Canaán.
Forsothe the sones of Israel eeten manna in fourti yeer, til thei camen in to the lond abitable; thei weren fed with this mete til thei touchiden the endis of the lond of Canaan.
36 Un gomer es la décima parte del efa.
Forsothe gomor is the tenthe part of efy.
