Éxodo 15
1 Entonces Moisés y los hijos de Israel cantaron un cántico a Yavé: ¡Cantaré a Yavé Porque ciertamente triunfó! ¡Al caballo y su jinete echó al mar!
Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to Yahweh. They sang, “I will sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea.
2 YA es mi fortaleza y mi cántico, Y ha sido mi salvación. ¡Éste es mi ʼElohim y lo alabaré! ¡ʼElohim de mi padre, y lo exaltaré!
Yahweh is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
3 ¡Yavé es un Guerrero! ¡Yavé es su Nombre!
Yahweh is a warrior; Yahweh is his name.
4 Los carruajes de Faraón y su ejército echó en el mar, Y sus capitanes escogidos fueron hundidos en el mar Rojo.
He has thrown Pharaoh's chariots and army into the sea. Pharaoh's chosen officers were drowned in the Sea of Reeds.
5 Los abismos los cubrirán. Como piedra descendieron a las profundidades.
The depths covered them; they went down into the depths like a stone.
6 Tu mano derecha, oh Yavé, es majestuosa en poder. Tu mano derecha, oh Yavé, aniquila al enemigo.
Your right hand, Yahweh, is glorious in power; your right hand, Yahweh, has shattered the enemy.
7 Con la grandeza de tu majestad Derribas a los que se levantan contra Ti. Envías tu ardiente ira. Los consume como hojarasca.
In great majesty you overthrew those who rose up against you. You sent out your wrath; it consumed them like stubble.
8 Con el aliento de tus fosas nasales Se amontonaron las aguas. Se mantuvieron como un muro fluido. Los abismos se congelaron en el corazón del mar.
By the blast of your nostrils the waters were piled up; the flowing waters stood upright in a heap; the deep water was congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 El enemigo dijo: Perseguiré, aprisionaré, repartiré despojos. Mi alma se saciará de ellos, Desenvainaré mi espada, Los destruirá mi mano.
The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will share out the plunder; my desire will be satisfied on them; I will draw my sword; my hand will destroy them.'
10 Pero soplaste con tu aliento, Y los cubrió el mar. Se hundieron como plomo en las impetuosas aguas.
But you blew with your wind, and the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.
11 ¿Quién como Tú entre los ʼelohim, oh Yavé? ¿Quién como Tú? Majestuoso en santidad, Temible en alabanzas, Hacedor de prodigios.
Who is like you, Yahweh, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, honored in praises, doing miracles?
12 Extendiste tu mano derecha, Los tragó la tierra.
You reached out with your right hand, and the earth swallowed them.
13 Condujiste en tu misericordia al pueblo que redimiste, Lo guiaste con tu fortaleza hacia tu santa morada.
In your covenant loyalty you have led the people you have rescued. In your strength you have led them to the holy place where you live.
14 Los pueblos oyeron y tiemblan. Pánico dominó a los habitantes de Filistea.
The peoples will hear, and they will tremble; terror will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.
15 Se turbaron los jefes de Edom. A los fuertes de Moab los asaltó el temblor, Y todos los habitantes de Canaán desmayaron.
Then the chiefs of Edom will fear; the soldiers of Moab will shake; all the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away.
16 Caen sobre ellos terror y espanto Por la grandeza de tu brazo. Enmudezcan como la piedra, Hasta que pase tu pueblo, ¡oh Yavé! Hasta que pase este pueblo que Tú adquiriste.
Terror and dread will fall on them. Because of your arm's power, they will become as still as a stone until your people pass by, Yahweh— until the people you have rescued pass by.
17 Tú los introducirás y los plantarás en la Montaña de tu heredad, El sitio firme, oh Yavé, que hiciste para morada tuya, El Santuario, oh ʼAdonay, que tu mano estableció.
You will bring them and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance, the place, Yahweh, that you have made to live in, the sanctuary, our Lord, that your hands have built.
18 Yavé reinará para siempre jamás.
Yahweh will reign forever and ever.”
19 Porque la caballería de Faraón con sus carruajes y sus jinetes entraron en el mar, y Yavé devolvió las aguas del mar sobre ellos, pero los hijos de Israel caminaron sobre tierra seca por el medio del mar.
For Pharaoh's horses went with his chariots and horsemen into the sea. Yahweh brought back the waters of the sea on them. But the Israelites walked on dry land in the middle of the sea.
20 Entonces Miriam, la profetiza, hermana de Aarón, tomó un pandero en su mano, y todas las mujeres salieron tras ella con panderos y danzas.
Miriam the prophetess, sister of Aaron, picked up a tambourine, and all the women went out with tambourines, dancing along with her.
21 Miriam las dirigía: Canten a Yavé Porque Él es altamente exaltado. Al caballo y su jinete echó en el mar.
Miriam sang to them: “Sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”
22 Entonces Moisés condujo a Israel del mar Rojo, y salieron hacia el desierto de Shur. Caminaron tres días en el desierto y no hallaron agua.
Then Moses led Israel onward from the Sea of Reeds. They went out into the wilderness of Shur. They traveled for three days into the wilderness and found no water.
23 Cuando llegaron a Mara, no pudieron beber las aguas de Mara porque eran amargas. Por eso fue llamado Mara.
Then they came to Marah, but they could not drink the water there because it was bitter. So they called that place Marah.
24 Y el pueblo murmuró contra Moisés: ¿Qué beberemos?
So the people complained to Moses and said, “What can we drink?”
25 Entonces él clamó a Yavé. Y Yavé le mostró un árbol, el cual echó en las aguas, y las aguas se endulzaron. Allí les dio Ordenanzas y Decretos. Allí los probó
Moses cried out to Yahweh, and Yahweh showed him a tree. Moses threw it into the water, and the water became sweet to drink. It was there that Yahweh gave them a strict law, and it was there that he tested them.
26 y dijo: Si diligentemente escuchas la voz de Yavé tu ʼElohim, haces lo recto ante Él, prestas oído a sus Mandamientos y guardas todos sus Estatutos, ninguna dolencia de las que puse sobre los egipcios pondré sobre ti, porque Yo soy Yavé tu Sanador.
He said, “If you carefully listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and do what is right in his eyes, and if you give ear to his commands and obey all his laws—I will put on you none of the diseases that I put on the Egyptians, for I am Yahweh who heals you.”
27 Llegaron a Elim, donde había 12 manantiales de agua y 70 palmeras. Y acamparon allí junto a las aguas.
Then the people came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees. They camped there by the water.
