Ester 10

1 El rey Asuero impuso un tributo sobre la tierra y sobre las islas del mar.

And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and [upon] the isles of the sea.

2 Todos los actos de autoridad y poder, así como la declaración de la grandeza de Mardoqueo, a quien el rey engrandeció, ¿no están escritos en el rollo de las crónicas de los reyes de Media y Persia?

And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

3 Porque el judío Mardoqueo llegó a ser el segundo del rey Asuero, grande entre los judíos y aceptado por la multitud de sus hermanos. Procuró el bienestar de su pueblo y habló paz a todo su linaje.

For Mordecai the Jew [was] next to king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
