Deuteronomio 30
1 Sucederá que cuando lleguen sobre ti todas estas cosas, la bendición y la maldición que acabo de presentar delante de ti, y tú cambies de mente en medio de todas las naciones adonde te esparza Yavé tu ʼElohim,
“And it has been, when all these things come on you, the blessing and the reviling, which I have set before you, and you have brought [them] back to your heart among all the nations to where your God YHWH has driven you away,
2 regreses a Yavé tu ʼElohim, y obedezcas su voz, conforme a todo lo que yo te mando hoy, tú y tus hijos, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,
and have turned back to your God YHWH and listened to His voice, according to all that I am commanding you today, you and your sons, with all your heart and with all your soul—
3 entonces Yavé hará volver tu cautividad y tendrá misericordia de ti. Volverá a recogerte de entre los pueblos adonde Yavé tu ʼElohim te esparció.
then your God YHWH has turned back [to] your captivity and pitied you, indeed, He has turned back and gathered you out of all the peoples to where your God YHWH has scattered you.
4 Aunque tus desterrados estén en lo más lejano debajo del cielo, desde allí te recogerá Yavé tu ʼElohim, y desde allí te regresará.
If your outcast is in the extremity of the heavens, your God YHWH gathers you from there and He takes you from there;
5 Yavé tu ʼElohim te volverá a traer a la tierra que poseyeron tus antepasados, y tú la poseerás. Él te hará bien y te multiplicará más que a tus antepasados.
and your God YHWH has brought you into the land which your fathers have possessed, and you have inherited it, and He has done you good, and multiplied you above your fathers.
6 Yavé tu ʼElohim circuncidará tu corazón y el corazón de tus descendientes para que ames a Yavé tu ʼElohim con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma, a fin de que vivas.
And your God YHWH has circumcised your heart and the heart of your seed, to love your God YHWH with all your heart and with all your soul, for the sake of your life;
7 Yavé tu ʼElohim pondrá todas estas maldiciones sobre tus enemigos, y sobre los que te aborrecen y te persiguieron.
and your God YHWH has put all this oath on your enemies and on those hating you, who have pursued you.
8 Tú volverás a escuchar la voz de Yavé y practicarás todos sus Mandamientos que yo te ordeno hoy.
And you turn back, and have listened to the voice of YHWH, and have done all His commands which I am commanding you today;
9 Yavé tu ʼElohim te hará abundar en toda obra de tu mano, el fruto de tu vientre, el fruto de tu ganado y el producto de tu tierra. Porque Yavé volverá a deleitarse en ti para bien, como se deleitó en tus antepasados,
and your God YHWH has made you abundant in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for YHWH turns back to rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your fathers,
10 si tú obedeces la voz de Yavé tu ʼElohim para guardar sus Mandamientos y sus Estatutos que están escritos en el rollo de esta Ley, porque te volviste a Yavé tu ʼElohim con todo tu corazón y toda tu alma.
for you listen to the voice of your God YHWH, to keep His commands and His statutes which are written in the scroll of this law, for you turn back to your God YHWH with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 Porque este mandamiento que yo te ordeno hoy no es demasiado difícil para ti, ni está fuera de tu alcance.
For this command which I am commanding you today, it is not too wonderful for you, nor [is] it far off.
12 No está en el cielo, para que digas: ¿Quién subirá por nosotros al cielo, y nos lo traerá y nos lo hará oír para que lo cumplamos?
It is not in the heavens, saying, Who goes up into the heavens for us, and takes it for us, and causes us to hear it, that we may do it?
13 Ni está al otro lado del mar, para que digas: ¿Quién pasará el mar por nosotros y nos lo traerá para que lo escuchemos a fin de que lo cumplamos?
And it [is] not beyond the sea, saying, Who passes over beyond the sea for us, and takes it for us, and causes us to hear it, that we may do it?
14 Sino la Palabra está muy cerca de ti, en tu boca y en tu corazón, para que la cumplas.
For the word is very near to you, in your mouth, and in your heart—to do it.
15 Ciertamente hoy presento delante de ti la vida y el bien, la muerte y el mal,
See, today I have set before you life and good, and death and evil,
16 porque hoy te mando que ames a Yavé tu ʼElohim, que andes en sus caminos y guardes sus Mandamientos, Estatutos y Decretos, a fin de que vivas y te multipliques, para que Yavé tu ʼElohim te bendiga en la tierra adonde entras para poseerla.
in that today I am commanding you to love your God YHWH, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commands, and His statutes, and His judgments; and you have lived and multiplied, and your God YHWH has blessed you in the land to where you are going in to possess it.
17 Pero si tu corazón se aparta, no obedeces, te dejas extraviar, y te postras ante otros ʼelohim y les sirves,
And if your heart turns, and you do not listen, and have been drawn away, and have bowed yourself to other gods and served them,
18 yo les declaro hoy que ciertamente perecerán. No prolongarán sus días en la tierra adonde van, para poseerla al pasar el Jordán.
I have declared to you this day that you certainly perish, you do not prolong days on the ground which you are passing over the Jordan to go in there to possess it.
19 A los cielos y a la tierra llamo hoy como testigos contra ustedes con respecto a que les presenté delante la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición. Escoge, pues, la vida para que vivas, tú y tus descendientes,
I have caused the heavens and the earth to testify against you today—I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the reviling, and you have fixed on life, so that you live, you and your seed,
20 que ames a Yavé tu ʼElohim, escuches su voz y seas fiel a Él. Porque Él es tu vida y la prolongación de tus días para que vivas en la tierra que Yavé juró dar a tus antepasados, Abraham, Isaac y Jacob.
to love your God YHWH, to listen to His voice, and to cleave to Him (for He [is] your life and the length of your days), to dwell on the ground which YHWH has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them.”
