2 Samuel 22
1 David pronunció las palabras de este cántico a Yavé el día cuando Yavé lo libró de la mano de Saúl y de todos sus enemigos:
And David spoke unto the Lord the words of this song, and on the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.
2 Yavé es mi Roca, mi Fortaleza, y mi Libertador.
And he said, Lord, my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;
3 ʼElohim es mi Roca, en Quien me refugio, Mi Escudo y el Fuerte de mi salvación, Mi alto Refugio y mi Salvador. De la violencia me libraste.
God, my rock, in whom I trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour! from violence dost thou save me!
4 Invoco a Yavé, Quien es digno de ser alabado Y soy salvo de mis enemigos.
Praised, I cried, be the Lord, and from my enemies was I saved.
5 Me rodearon ondas de muerte Y torrentes de perversidad me aterraron.
For the waves of death encompassed me, the floods of destruction made me afraid;
The bonds of hell encircled me, the snares of death seized on me: (Sheol h7585)
7 En mi angustia invoqué a Yavé. Invoqué a mi ʼElohim. Oyó mi voz desde su Templo, Y mi grito de auxilio llegó a sus oídos.
[When] in my distress I called upon the Lord, and to my God I cried; and he heard from his temple my voice, and my complaint [entered] into his ears.
8 La tierra fue conmovida y tembló. Se conmovieron los cimientos del cielo. Se estremecieron porque Él se airó.
Then shook and trembled the earth; the foundations of the heavens were moved; and they shook, because he was wroth.
9 Humo subió de su nariz Y de su boca salió un fuego abrasador Que encendió brasas.
Smoke went up in his anger, and consuming fire out of his mouth, coals flamed forth from him.
10 Inclinó los cielos, Y descendió con espesa oscuridad debajo de sus pies.
And he bent the heavens, and came down, and thick darkness was under his feet.
11 Cabalgó sobre un querubín y voló. Voló sobre las alas del viento.
And he rode upon a cherub, and flew along, and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12 Puso oscuridad alrededor de Él como escondedero, Oscuridad de aguas y densos nubarrones.
And he made darkness round about him into pavilions, heavy masses of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
13 Con el resplandor de su Presencia se encendieron brasas.
From the brightness before him flamed forth coals of fire.
14 Yavé tronó desde el cielo, ʼElyón dio su voz.
The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered forth his voice.
15 Disparó sus flechas y los dispersó. Lanzó relámpagos, y los destruyó.
And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
16 Entonces aparecieron los torrentes de las aguas Y quedaron descubiertos los cimientos del mundo a la reprensión de Yavé Por el soplo del aliento de su nariz.
And then were seen the channels of the sea, there were laid open the foundations of the world; at the rebuke of the Lord, through the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17 Envió desde lo alto y me tomó. Me sacó de entre las aguas caudalosas.
He stretched out from above [his hand], he took me; he drew me out from the mighty waters.
18 Me libró de un poderoso enemigo, Y de los que me aborrecían, Aunque eran más fuertes que yo.
He delivered me from my enemy, the strong, from those that hated me, when they were too mighty for me.
19 Me enfrentaron en el día de mi quebranto, Pero Yavé fue mi Apoyo
They overcame me on the day of my calamity; but the Lord became my stay;
20 Y me sacó a lugar espacioso. Me libró, porque se agradó de mí.
And he brought me forth into a large space: he delivered me, because he had delight in me.
21 Yavé me premió según mi rectitud Y recompensó la pureza de mis manos,
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the purity of my hands did he recompense me.
22 Porque guardé los caminos de Yavé Y no me aparté impíamente de mi ʼElohim.
For I had kept the ways of the Lord, and had not wickedly departed from my God.
23 Pues todos sus Preceptos estuvieron delante de mí, Y no me aparté de sus Estatutos.
For all his ordinances were before me, and from none of his statutes did I depart.
24 Fui recto ante Él Y me guardé de mi maldad.
I was also upright toward him, and I guarded myself against my iniquity.
25 Yavé me recompensó según mi rectitud Según la pureza de mis manos ante Él.
Therefore did the Lord recompense me according to my righteousness, according to my purity before his eyes.
26 Con el misericordioso te muestras misericordioso, Y recto con el hombre íntegro.
With the kind thou wilt show thyself kind; with the upright mighty man thou wilt show thyself upright.
27 Limpio te muestras con el limpio, Y sagaz con el perverso.
With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the perverse thou wilt wage a contest.
28 Tú salvas al pueblo afligido, Pero tus ojos están sobre los altivos para humillarlos.
And the afflicted people thou wilt save; but thy eyes are upon the haughty, [that] thou mayest bring [them] down.
29 ¡Tú eres mi Lámpara, oh Yavé! ¡Oh Yavé, Tú alumbras mi oscuridad!
For thou art my lamp, O Lord! and the Lord will enlighten my darkness.
30 Porque contigo puedo asaltar un ejército. Con mi ʼElohim puedo saltar sobre un muro.
For [aided] by thee I run through a troop: [helped] by my God I leap over a wall.
31 En cuanto a ʼEL, perfecto es su camino, Y acrisolada es la Palabra de Yavé. ʼEL es Escudo a todos los que se refugian en Él.
As for God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried; he is a shield to all that trust in him.
32 Porque ¿quién es ʼEL, excepto Yavé? ¿Y cuál roca hay además de nuestro ʼElohim?
For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?
33 ʼEL es el que me ciñe de vigor Y perfecciona mi camino.
God is my strength and power; and he rendereth free from obstruction my way.
34 ʼEL hace que mis pies sean como los de venados Y me establece en mis alturas.
He maketh my feet like those of the hinds, and upon my high places he causeth me to stand.
35 El que adiestra mis manos para la batalla Y mis brazos para tensar el arco de bronce.
He teaches my hands for the war, so that a brazen bow is bent by my arms.
36 Me diste también el escudo de tu salvación Y me engrandeció tu benignidad.
And thou gavest me the shield of thy salvation; and thy assistance hath made me great.
37 Ensanchas mis pasos debajo de mí, Y no resbalan mis pies.
Thou enlargest my steps under me, so that my joints do not slip.
38 Perseguí a mis enemigos y los destruí, Y no regresé hasta que fueron acabados.
I pursue my enemies and destroy them; and I return not again until I have made an end of them.
39 Los destruí, los destrocé para que no se levanten. Cayeron bajo mis pies.
And I make an end of them, and I crush them, that they cannot rise; and they fall under my feet.
40 Pues Tú me dotaste de fuerza para la batalla. Doblegaste a mis enemigos debajo de mí.
For thou hast girded me with strength for the war; thou subduest my opponents under me.
41 También hiciste que mis enemigos me volvieran la espalda, Para que yo destruya a los que me aborrecen.
And my enemies thou causest to turn their back to me; those that hate me, —that I may destroy them.
42 Clamaron, y no hubo quien salvara. Aun [clamaron] a Yavé, pero no los escuchó.
They look about, but there is none to help; unto the Lord—but he answereth them not.
43 Los molí como polvo de la tierra. Los pisé y los trituré como el lodo de las calles.
And I beat them small as the dust of the earth; as the mire of the street, I stamp them, I tread them down.
44 Tú me libraste de las contiendas de mi pueblo. Me guardaste para ser jefe de naciones. Pueblo que yo no conocía me sirvió.
Thou hast also delivered me from the contests of my people: thou preservest me to be the head of nations, a people which I know not shall serve me.
45 Los hijos de extranjeros se someten a mí. Al oír de mí, me obedecen.
The children of the stranger shall utter flattery unto me; as soon as their ear heareth they shall be obedient unto me.
46 Los extranjeros se debilitan Y salen temblorosos de sus encierros.
The children of the stranger shall fade away, and come forth tottering out of their close places.
47 ¡Viva Yavé! ¡Bendita sea mi Roca! ¡Engrandecido sea ʼElohim, la Roca de mi salvación!
The Lord liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God, the Rock of my salvation;
48 El ʼEL que ejecuta venganza por mí, Y somete pueblos a mí.
The God, that granteth me vengeance, and bringeth down nations under me;
49 El que también me saca de entre los enemigos, Y aun me exalta por encima de los que se levantan contra mí.
And that bringeth me forth from my enemies: also above my opponents thou liftest me up, from the man of violence thou deliverest me.
50 Por tanto yo te alabaré, oh Yavé, entre las naciones. Cantaré alabanzas a tu Nombre.
Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the nations, and unto thy name will I sing praises;
51 Él engrandece las victorias de su rey, Y muestra misericordia a su ungido: A David y a sus descendientes para siempre.
[To] the tower of salvation of his king, and who showeth kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed forever.
