2 Reyes 15

1 El año 27 de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Azarías, hijo de Amasías, rey de Judá.

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah, king of Judah, has reigned;

2 Tenía 16 años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó 52 años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Jecolía, de Jerusalén.

he was a son of sixteen years in his reigning, and he has reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jecholiah of Jerusalem,

3 Hizo lo recto ante Yavé, conforme a todo lo que hizo su padre Amasías.

and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father Amaziah did,

4 Sin embargo, los lugares altos no fueron quitados, pues el pueblo aún sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos.

only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places.

5 Yavé hirió al rey, y fue leproso hasta el día de su muerte, y vivió en una casa aislada. Jotam, hijo del rey, administraba la casa del rey y gobernaba al pueblo de la tierra.

And YHWH strikes the king, and he is a leper to the day of his death, and he dwells in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king [is] over the house, judging the people of the land.

6 Todo lo que hizo Azarías, ¿no está escrito en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

And the rest of the matters of Azariah and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

7 Azarías descansó con sus antepasados, y lo sepultaron con sus antepasados en la Ciudad de David. Reinó en su lugar su hijo Jotam.

And Azariah lies with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Jotham reigns in his stead.

8 El año 38 de Azarías, rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zacarías, hijo de Jeroboam, y reinó seis meses sobre Israel en Samaria.

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam has reigned over Israel in Samaria, six months,

9 Hizo lo malo ante Yavé, como hicieron sus antepasados. No se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, con los cuales estimuló a pecar a Israel.

and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH as his fathers did; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

10 Salum, hijo de Jabes, conspiró contra él. Lo hirió delante del pueblo y lo mató, y reinó en su lugar.

And Shallum son of Jabesh conspires against him, and strikes him before the people, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.

11 Los demás hechos de Zacarías ciertamente están escritos en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

12 Ésta fue la Palabra que Yavé habló a Jehú: Tus hijos se sentarán en el trono de Israel hasta la cuarta generación. Y sucedió así.

It [is] the word of YHWH that He spoke to Jehu, saying, “Sons of the fourth [generation] sit on the throne of Israel for you”; and it is so.

13 Salum, hijo de Jabes, comenzó a reinar el año 39 de Uzías, rey de Judá, y reinó un mes en Samaria.

Shallum son of Jabesh has reigned in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigns a month of days in Samaria;

14 Manahem, hijo de Gadi, subió de Tirsa a Samaria, hirió a Salum, hijo de Jabes, lo mató y reinó en su lugar.

and Menahem son of Gadi goes up from Tirzah and comes to Samaria, and strikes Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.

15 Los demás hechos de Salum, y la conspiración que tramó, ciertamente están escritos en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the matters of Shallum and his conspiracy that he made, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

16 En aquel tiempo Manahem atacó a Tirsa, a todos los que estaban en ella y en sus alrededores, porque ellos no le abrieron [las puertas]. Por eso la atacó y abrió el vientre a todas las mujeres embarazadas.

Then Menahem strikes Tiphsah, and all who [are] in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it did not open [to him], and he strikes [it], [and] he has ripped up all its pregnant women.

17 El año 39 de Azarías, rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Manahem, hijo de Gadi, sobre Israel, y reinó diez años en Samaria.

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi has reigned over Israel in Samaria, ten years.

18 Hizo lo malo ante Yavé, y en todo su tiempo no se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, con los cuales estimuló a pecar a Israel.

And he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.

19 Pul, rey de Asiria, llegó contra la tierra, y Manahem dio a Pul 33 toneladas de plata para que la mano de él estuviera a favor de Manahem, a fin de fortalecer el reino bajo su dominio.

Pul king of Asshur has come against the land, and Menahem gives one thousand talents of silver to Pul, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.

20 Manahem impuso este dinero a Israel por medio de un tributo a todos los poderosos y opulentos: 550 gramos de plata por cada uno, para entregarlos al rey de Asiria. Con eso el rey de Asiria se retiró, y no permaneció en la tierra.

And Menahem brings out the silver [from] Israel, [from] all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turns back and has not stayed there in the land.

21 Todo lo que hizo Manahem, ¿no está escrito en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

And the rest of the matters of Menahem and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

22 Manahem reposó con sus antepasados, y su hijo Pecaía reinó en su lugar.

And Menahem lies with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigns in his stead.

23 El año 50 de Azarías, rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Pecaía, hijo de Manahem, en Israel, y reinó en Samaria dos años.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem has reigned over Israel in Samaria, two years,

24 Hizo lo malo ante Yavé. No se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, con los cuales estimuló a pecar a Israel.

and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

25 Conspiró contra él su comandante Peca, hijo de Remalías, junto con Argob, Arie y 50 hombres de los hijos de los galaaditas. Lo mató en el palacio de la casa real en Samaria, y reinó en su lugar.

And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, conspires against him, and strikes him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh; and fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites [were] with him, and he puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.

26 Todo lo que hizo Pecaía, ciertamente está escrito en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the matters of Pekahiah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

27 El año 52 de Azarías, rey de Judá, Peca, hijo de Remalías, comenzó a reinar en Israel y reinó 20 años en Samaria.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah has reigned over Israel in Samaria, twenty years,

28 Hizo lo malo ante Yavé, pues no se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, con los cuales estimuló a pecar a Israel.

and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

29 En el tiempo de Peca, rey de Israel, llegó Tiglat-pileser, rey de Asiria. Tomó Ijón, Abel-bet-maaca, Janoa, Cedes, Hazor, Galaad, Galilea y toda la tierra de Neftalí, y los llevó cautivos a Asiria.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur has come, and takes Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removes them to Asshur.

30 El año 20 de Jotam, hijo de Azarías, [rey de Judá], Oseas, hijo de Ela, tramó una conspiración contra Peca, hijo de Remalías. Lo hirió, lo mató, y reinó en su lugar.

And Hoshea son of Elah makes a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah, and strikes him, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.

31 Todo lo que hizo Peca ciertamente está escrito en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

And the rest of the matters of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

32 El segundo año de Peca, hijo de Remalías, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Jotam, hijo de Uzías, rey de Judá.

In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah, king of Judah, has reigned.

33 Cuando comenzó a reinar tenía 25 años, y reinó 16 años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Jerusa, hija de Sadoc.

He was a son of twenty-five years in his reigning, and he has reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerusha daughter of Zadok,

34 Hizo lo recto ante Yavé, conforme a todo lo que hizo su padre Uzías.

and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH; he has done according to all that his father Uzziah did.

35 Sin embargo, no se quitaron los lugares altos, porque el pueblo aún sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los lugares altos. Él construyó la puerta más alta de la Casa de Yavé.

Only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places; he has built the high gate of the house of YHWH.

36 Todo lo que hizo Jotam, ¿no está escrito en el rollo de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

And the rest of the matters of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

37 En aquel tiempo Yavé comenzó a enviar a Rezín, rey de Siria, y a Peca, hijo de Remalías, contra Judá.

In those days YHWH has begun to send Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.

38 Azarías descansó Jotam con sus antepasados, y fue sepultado en la ciudad de David. Su hijo Acaz reinó en su lugar.

And Jotham lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of his father David, and his son Ahaz reigns in his stead.
