2 Juan 1

1 El anciano a la señora escogida y a sus hijos, a quienes yo amo en verdad, y no solo yo, sino también todos los que conocen la Verdad,

The Elder, unto an elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not, I, alone, but all those also who understand the truth, —

2 por medio de la Verdad que permanece en nosotros y se quedará para siempre con nosotros. (aiōn g165)

For the sake of the truth that abideth in us, and, with us, shall be unto times age-abiding, (aiōn g165)

3 Gracia, misericordia y paz de Dios Padre y de Jesucristo, su Hijo, estén con ustedes en verdad y amor.

Favour, mercy, peace shall be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4 En gran manera me regocijé porque hallé [algunos] de tus hijos que viven en verdad, como recibimos Mandamiento del Padre.

I rejoiced exceedingly, in that I had found, from among thy children, such as were walking in truth, even as, a commandment, we received from the Father.

5 Ahora te ruego, señora, no como si te escribiera un Mandamiento nuevo, sino el que teníamos desde un principio: que nos amemos unos a otros.

And, now, I request thee, lady, not as writing, a new commandment, unto thee, but one which we were holding from the beginning—That we should be loving one another.

6 Éste es el amor: que vivamos según sus Mandamientos. Éste es el Mandamiento: que vivan en él, como oyeron desde un principio.

And, this, is love, that we should be walking according to his commandments: This, is, the commandment, even as ye heard from the beginning, that, therein, ye should be walking.

7 Porque muchos engañadores salieron al mundo quienes no confiesan que Jesucristo vino en forma corporal. Éste es el impostor y el anticristo.

Because, many deceivers, have gone out into the world, they who do not confess Jesus Christ coming in flesh: This, is the deceiver and the antichrist.

8 Cuídense ustedes mismos para que no destruyan las cosas que nos forjamos, sino que reciban completa recompensa.

Be taking heed unto yourselves, lest ye lose what things we earned, —but, a full reward, ye may duly receive.

9 Todo el que se desvía de la doctrina de Cristo y no permanece en Él, no tiene a Dios. El que permanece en la doctrina tiene tanto al Padre como al Hijo.

Every one that taketh a lead, and abideth not in the teaching of Christ, hath not, God: he that abideth in the teaching, the same, hath, both the Father and the Son.

10 Si alguno viene a ustedes y no tiene esta doctrina, no lo reciban en casa ni le digan: ¡Bienvenido!

If anyone cometh unto you and, this teaching, doth not bring, be not receiving him home, and, Joy to thee! do not say;

11 Porque el que le dice bienvenido participa en sus malas obras.

For, he that biddeth him rejoice, hath fellowship with his wicked works.

12 Aunque tengo muchas cosas que escribirles, no quise hacerlo por medio de papel y tinta, sino espero estar con ustedes y hablar cara a cara, para que nuestro gozo sea completado.

Though I had many things, unto you, to write, I was not minded [to say them] with paper and ink; but I hope to come unto you, and, mouth to mouth, to talk, —that your joy may be made full.

13 Los hijos de tu hermana, la elegida, te saludan.

The children of thy chosen sister salute thee.
