2 Corintios 9
1 Con respecto a la suministración para los santos, no me es necesario escribirles,
Now concerning the relief intended for the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 pues conocí su disposición, por la cual me enaltezco de ustedes ante los macedonios. Acaya se preparó hace un año. El ardor de ustedes estimuló a la mayoría.
for I know your readiness of mind, which I boast of concerning you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath excited many.
3 Sin embargo, envié a los hermanos para que nuestra exaltación con respecto a ustedes no sea vana en este caso, a fin de que, como decía, se preparen,
But I have sent the brethren, that our boasting of you might not become vain in this respect, but that ye might be ready, as I had said:
4 no sea que si van conmigo unos macedonios y los ven desprevenidos en este proyecto, nosotros seamos avergonzados, por no decir ustedes.
least if the Macedonians should come with me, and find you unprepared, we should be ashamed (not to say you also) in this confident boasting.
5 Por tanto creí necesario exhortar a los hermanos para que fueran ante ustedes a preparar con anticipación su ofrenda prometida, y que ésta fuera preparada como una bendición y no como una exigencia.
Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go first to you, and before our coming to collect your bounty beforementioned, that it may be ready, as of munificence, and not of force.
6 Pero esto [digo]: El que siembra escasamente, también cosechará escasamente. El que siembra en bendiciones, también cosechará en bendiciones.
But this I say, He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
7 Cada uno [dé] según se propuso en su corazón, no con tristeza o por obligación, porque Dios ama al dador alegre.
Let every one give as he chuses in his own heart; not with reluctance, or constraint: for God loveth a chearful giver.
8 Poderoso es Dios para hacer que abunde en ustedes toda gracia, a fin de que al tener siempre toda suficiencia en todo, abunden para toda buena obra.
And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that having always all sufficiency in every thing, ye may abound in every good work:
(as it is written, "He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness continueth for ever." (aiōn g165)
10 El que provee semilla al que siembra, también proveerá pan para comida, multiplicará la semilla de ustedes y hará crecer los frutos de la justicia de ustedes.
And may He, who supplieth seed to the sower, and giveth bread for food, furnish and multiply your sowing, and increase the fruits of your bounty: )
11 Somos enriquecidos en todo para toda generosidad, la cual produce acción de gracias a Dios por medio de nosotros.
being in every thing enriched to all liberality, which produceth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 Porque el ministerio de este acto de culto religioso, no solo suple las necesidades de los santos, sino también sobreabunda en acciones de gracias a Dios.
For the ministration of this service not only supplieth the wants of the saints, but aboundeth also, through many thanksgivings, to the glory of God.
13 Al recibir esta ayuda, ellos glorificarán a Dios por la obediencia que profesan ustedes a las Buenas Noticias de Cristo, y por la liberalidad de ustedes en la contribución para ellos y para todos.
(While from the experience of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and the liberality of your communication to them, and to all men.)
14 La conversación de ellos con Dios a favor de ustedes demuestra que [los] añoran a causa de la gracia de Dios que sobreabunda en ustedes.
And in their prayer for you, who long after you because of the transcendent grace of God towards you.
15 ¡Gracias a Dios por su Regalo indecible!
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
