2 Corintios 8

1 Hermanos, les informamos sobre la gracia de Dios que fue dada a las iglesias de Macedonia,

Moreover, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the congregations of Macedonia;

2 que en medio de gran prueba de aflicción, la abundancia de su gozo y según su extrema pobreza, abundaron en la riqueza de su generosidad.

how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their liberality.

3 Porque doy testimonio de que espontáneamente según su capacidad, y aun por encima de ella,

For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,

4 nos rogaron mucho [que les concediéramos] el privilegio de participar en el sostenimiento de los santos.

begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

5 No como esperábamos, sino primeramente ellos mismos se dieron al Señor y a nosotros, por [la] voluntad de Dios,

This was not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.

6 a fin de que rogáramos nosotros a Tito para que, así como se inició, también completara para ustedes este privilegio.

So we urged Titus, that as he made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace.

7 Por tanto, como en todo abundan: en fe, en palabra, en conocimiento, en toda diligencia y en el amor de nosotros para ustedes, abunden también en este privilegio.

But as you abound in everything, in faith, utterance, knowledge, all earnestness, and in the love from us that is in you, see that you also abound in this grace.

8 No [lo] digo como un mandamiento, sino también para someter a prueba por medio de la diligencia de otros, la autenticidad del amor de ustedes.

I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.

9 Porque conocen la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Quien era rico y empobreció por amor a ustedes para que ustedes, por medio de su pobreza, fueran ricos.

For you know the grace of our Lord Yeshua Meshikha, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.

10 En esto doy [mi] consejo, porque les conviene a ustedes que comenzaron desde el año pasado, no solo a hacer [esto], sino también a desearlo.

I give a judgment in this: for this is expedient for you, who were the first to start a year ago, not only to do, but also to be willing.

11 Ahora, pues, lleven el hecho a su término, para que como estuvieron dispuestos a querer, así también estén dispuestos a cumplir según lo que tengan.

But now complete the doing also, that as there was the readiness to be willing, so there may be the completion also out of your ability.

12 Porque si primero la voluntad está dispuesta, será aceptada según lo que uno tenga, no según lo que no tenga.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you do not have.

13 Porque no digo esto para bienestar de otros y aflicción de ustedes, sino para igualdad,

For this is not that others may be eased and you distressed,

14 [para que] en este tiempo la abundancia de ustedes supla la escasez de ellos, a fin de que también la abundancia de ellos regrese hacia la escasez de ustedes, para que haya igualdad.

but for equality. Your abundance at this present time supplies their lack, that their abundance also may become a supply for your lack; that there may be equality.

15 Como está escrito: El que [recogió] mucho, no tuvo más, y el que poco, no tuvo menos.

As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack."

16 Pero gracias a Dios Quien puso la misma solicitud por ustedes en el corazón de Tito,

But thanks be to God, who puts the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus.

17 pues no solo aceptó el ruego, sino, al ser más diligente, espontáneamente fue a ustedes.

For he indeed accepted our exhortation, but being himself very earnest, he went out to you of his own accord.

18 Enviamos juntamente con [Tito] al hermano cuya aprobación en las Buenas Noticias está en todas las iglesias.

We have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the Good News is known through all the congregations.

19 No solo [esto], sino también fue designado por las iglesias como nuestro compañero de viaje con esta ministración que es suministrada por nosotros para gloria del Señor y [para mostrar ]nuestra disposición.

Not only so, but who was also appointed by the congregations to travel with us in this grace, which is served by us to the glory of the Lord himself, and to show our readiness.

20 Nos propusimos esto, no sea que alguien nos critique por esta abundancia suministrada por nosotros.

We are avoiding this, that no one should blame us concerning this abundance which is administered by us.

21 Porque tenemos en consideración cosas buenas, no solo delante del Señor, sino también delante de [los] hombres.

For we have regard for what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of others.

22 Enviamos con ellos a nuestro hermano a quien muchas veces probamos en muchas cosas [que] es diligente, pero ahora mucho más diligente porque tenemos mucha confianza en ustedes.

We have sent with them our brother, whom we have many times proved earnest in many things, but now much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which he has in you.

23 En cuanto a Tito, es mi compañero y colaborador entre ustedes. En cuanto a nuestros hermanos, son enviados de iglesias, gloria de Cristo.

As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for you. As for our brothers, they are emissaries of the congregations, the glory of Meshikha.

24 Muestren la prueba de nuestro amor y de nuestro enaltecimiento con respecto a ustedes ante las iglesias por medio de ellos.

Therefore show the proof of your love to them in front of the congregations, and of our boasting about you.
