2 Corintios 3
1 ¿Otra vez comenzamos a recomendarnos a nosotros mismos? ¿O necesitamos, como algunos, cartas de recomendación para ustedes, o de ustedes?
Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? We do not need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you, do we?
2 Nuestra carta son ustedes, la cual fue escrita en nuestros corazones, conocida y leída por todos los hombres.
You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by everyone;
3 Porque es manifiesto que [ustedes] son una carta de Cristo encomendada a nosotros, no escrita con tinta, sino con el Espíritu del Dios viviente, no en tablas de piedra, sino en tablas de corazones humanos.
being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.
4 Tal confianza tenemos con Dios por medio de Cristo.
Such confidence we have through Christ toward God;
5 No [digo] que somos suficientes nosotros mismos para que consideremos que algo [procede] de nosotros. Pero nuestra suficiencia es de Dios.
not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;
6 Él también nos hizo ministros del Nuevo Pacto, no de la letra, sino del Espíritu. Porque [la] letra mata, pero el Espíritu da vida.
who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 Si el ministerio de muerte grabado con letras en piedras tuvo resplandor, tanto que los hijos de Israel no podían fijar la vista en el rostro de Moisés a causa de su resplandor, el cual se desvanecería,
But if the service of death, written engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly on the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which was passing away:
8 ¿cómo no será con más resplandor el ministerio del Espíritu?
won't service of the Spirit be with much more glory?
9 Porque si en el ministerio de la condenación hay resplandor, hay mucho más abundante resplandor en el ministerio de la justicia.
For if the service of condemnation has glory, the service of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
10 Pues lo que fue esplendoroso ya no lo es, a causa del esplendor que lo sobrepasa.
For truly that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasses.
11 Porque si la ley que es abolida fue dada por medio de esplendor, mucho más lo que permanece en esplendor.
For if that which passes away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.
12 Así que, por cuanto tenemos tal esperanza, nos atrevemos a hablar con mucha franqueza,
Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,
13 no como Moisés, quien colocaba [el] velo sobre su cara para que los hijos de Israel no fijaran los ojos en lo que sería abolido.
and not as Moses, who put a veil on his face, that the children of Israel would not look steadfastly on the end of that which was passing away.
14 Pero los pensamientos de [los hijos de Israel] fueron endurecidos, porque hasta el día de hoy, sobre la lectura del Antiguo Pacto permanece el mismo velo no descorrido, que es anulado por Cristo.
But their minds were hardened, for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, because in Christ it passes away.
15 Hasta hoy, cuando Moisés es leído, [el] velo es puesto sobre el corazón de ellos.
But to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.
16 Sin embargo, cuando vuelva al Señor, el velo será quitado.
But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17 Porque el Señor es el Espíritu, y donde está el Espíritu del Señor hay libertad.
Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 Pero todos nosotros, quienes contemplamos la gloria del Señor con cara descubierta, como en un espejo, somos transformados de resplandor en resplandor en la misma imagen por [el] Espíritu del Señor.
But we all, with unveiled face looking as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
