2 Crónicas 1
1 Salomón, hijo de David, se estableció firmemente en su reino, pues Yavé su ʼElohim estaba con él y lo exaltó muchísimo.
Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
2 Salomón habló a todo Israel: a los jefes de millares y centenas, a los jueces y a todos los jefes de todo Israel, jefes de sus casas paternas.
Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the ancestral houses.
3 Salomón y toda la congregación fueron al lugar alto que estaba en Gabaón, porque allí estaba el Tabernáculo de Reunión de ʼElohim, que Moisés, esclavo de Yavé, hizo en el desierto.
So Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the Tent of Meeting of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
4 Pues David subió el Arca de ʼElohim de Quiriat-jearim al lugar que le preparó, porque le levantó una tienda en Jerusalén.
But David had brought the ark of God up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
5 El altar de bronce que hizo Bezaleel, hijo de Uri, hijo de Hur, estaba allí delante del Tabernáculo de Yavé. Salomón y la congregación fueron a consultarle.
Moreover the bronze altar, that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.
6 Salomón subió allá ante Yavé al altar de bronce que estaba en el Tabernáculo de Reunión, y ofreció sobre él 1.000 holocaustos.
Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the LORD, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.
7 Aquella noche ʼElohim se apareció a Salomón y le dijo: Pide lo que quieras que Yo te dé.
In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, "Ask what I shall give you."
8 Salomón respondió a ʼElohim: Tú mostraste gran misericordia a mi padre David y me constituiste rey en su lugar.
Solomon said to God, "You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.
9 Ahora, oh Yavé ʼElohim, sea confirmada tu Palabra que diste a David mi padre, pues Tú me designaste rey de un pueblo tan numeroso como el polvo de la tierra.
Now, LORD God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10 Dame sabiduría y conocimiento para que yo salga y entre delante de este pueblo, porque ¿quién puede juzgar a este pueblo tuyo tan grande?
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this your people, that is so great?"
11 ʼElohim respondió a Salomón: Porque tuviste esto en mente, y no pediste riquezas, ni posesiones, ni honor, ni la vida de los que te aborrecen, ni siquiera pediste larga vida, sino pediste para ti sabiduría y conocimiento para juzgar a mi pueblo sobre el cual te designé rey,
God said to Solomon, "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of those who hate you, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:
12 se te dan sabiduría y conocimiento. Te daré riquezas, posesiones y honor, tales como ningún rey los tuvo hasta ahora, ni los tendrá después de ti.
wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you; neither shall there any after you have the like."
13 Salomón regresó a Jerusalén después de estar en el Tabernáculo de Reunión en el lugar alto de Gabaón y comenzó a reinar en Israel.
So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.
14 Salomón reunió carruajes de guerra y jinetes. Tuvo 1.400 carruajes de guerra y 12.000 jinetes que situó en las ciudades de los carruajes y en Jerusalén cerca del rey.
Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had one thousand four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
15 El rey logró que la plata y el oro fueran como las piedras en Jerusalén, y que el cedro fuera tan abundante como los sicómoros de la Sefela.
The king made silver and gold to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
16 Los caballos de Salomón eran de Egipto. Los mercaderes del rey los compraban por manadas.
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and from Kue; the king's merchants purchased them from Kue.
17 Llevaban de Egipto un carruaje por 600 piezas de plata, y un caballo por 150. Por medio de ellos también los adquirían todos los reyes de los hititas y los reyes de Siria.
They brought up and brought out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Aram, they brought them out by their means.
