2 Crónicas 7

1 Cuando Salomón terminó de orar, descendió fuego del cielo y consumió el holocausto y los sacrificios, y la gloria de Yavé llenó la Casa.

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of Jehovah filled the house.

2 Los sacerdotes no pudieron entrar en la Casa de Yavé, porque la gloria de Yavé la llenó.

The priests could not enter into the house of Jehovah, because the glory of Jehovah filled Jehovah's house.

3 Todos los hijos de Israel, al ver que descendió el fuego y la gloria de Yavé sobre la Casa, se inclinaron rostro en tierra sobre el pavimento, adoraron y alabaron a Yavé: ¡Porque Él es bueno, porque para siempre es su misericordia!

All the children of Israel looked on, when the fire came down, and the glory of Jehovah was on the house; and they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped, and gave thanks to Jehovah, saying, "For he is good; for his loving kindness endures for ever."

4 Entonces el rey y todo el pueblo ofrecieron sacrificios delante de Yavé.

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifice before Jehovah.

5 El rey Salomón ofreció en sacrificio 22.000 becerros y 120.000 ovejas. El rey y todo el pueblo dedicaron la Casa de ʼElohim.

King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God's house.

6 Los sacerdotes estaban en pie en sus puestos. Los levitas tenían los instrumentos de música de Yavé que el rey David hizo para alabar a Yavé, porque para siempre es su misericordia. Cada vez que él alababa por medio de ellos, los sacerdotes los acompañaban y tocaban las trompetas, y todo Israel permanecía en pie.

The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of Jehovah, which David the king had made to give thanks to Jehovah, when David praised by their ministry, saying "For his loving kindness endures for ever." The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.

7 Salomón también consagró el interior del patio que estaba delante de la Casa de Yavé, por cuanto allí ofreció los holocaustos y la grasa de las ofrendas de paz, porque el altar de bronce que Salomón hizo no podía contener el holocausto, la ofrenda vegetal y la grasa.

Moreover Solomon made the middle of the court holy that was before the house of Jehovah; for there he offered the burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, and the meal offering, and the fat.

8 Salomón mantuvo la solemnidad durante siete días, y todo Israel con él, una congregación muy grande, procedente desde la entrada de Hamat hasta el torrente de Egipto.

So Solomon held the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from Lebo Hamath to the Wadi of Egypt.

9 Al octavo día hicieron una asamblea solemne, porque celebraron la dedicación del Altar en siete días. Celebraron la solemnidad en siete días.

On the eighth day they held a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

10 El día 23 del mes séptimo envió al pueblo a sus tiendas con regocijo y alegría de corazón por la bondad que Yavé mostró a David, a Salomón y a su pueblo Israel.

On the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that Jehovah had shown to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

11 De esta manera Salomón terminó la Casa de Yavé y el palacio real. En todo lo que vino al corazón de Salomón para hacer en la Casa de Yavé y su propio palacio, fue prosperado.

Thus Solomon finished the house of Jehovah, and the king's house: and he successfully completed all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of Jehovah, and in his own house.

12 Yavé apareció a Salomón de noche y le dijo: Escuché tu oración y escogí este lugar para Mí como Casa de sacrificio.

Jehovah appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice.

13 Si Yo cierro los cielos para que no llueva, si mando el saltamontes a devorar la tierra, o si envío pestilencia entre mi pueblo,

If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among my people;

14 y se humilla mi pueblo sobre el cual es invocado mi Nombre, oran, buscan mi rostro y se convierten de sus malos caminos, Yo escucharé desde el cielo, perdonaré sus pecados y sanaré su tierra.

then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Mis ojos estarán abiertos y mis oídos atentos a la oración en este lugar.

Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive, to the prayer that is made in this place.

16 Ahora elegí y santifiqué esta Casa para que mi Nombre esté allí para siempre, y mis ojos y mi corazón estén allí todos los días.

For now have I chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

17 En cuanto a ti, si andas delante de Mí como anduvo tu padre David, haces según todo lo que te mandé y guardas mis Estatutos y mis Decretos,

As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances;

18 Yo afirmaré el trono de tu reino como pacté con tu padre David: No te faltará varón que gobierne en Israel.

then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, according as I covenanted with David your father, saying, 'There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.'

19 Pero si ustedes se apartan y abandonan mis Estatutos y mis Mandamientos que puse ante ustedes, sirven a otros ʼelohim y se postran ante ellos,

But if you turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

20 Yo los arrancaré de mi tierra que les di y echaré de mi Presencia esta Casa que santifiqué a mi Nombre. La colocaré como refrán y escarnio entre todas las naciones.

then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

21 Y [en cuanto a] esta Casa, que es tan excelsa, todo el que pase cerca de ella quedará asombrado y dirá: ¿Por qué Yavé hizo esto a esta tierra y esta Casa?

And this house, which is exalted, will become a heap of ruins. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished, and will say, 'Why has Jehovah done this to this land, and to this house?'

22 Y responderán: Porque abandonaron a Yavé, el ʼElohim de sus antepasados, Quien los sacó de la tierra de Egipto, se aferraron a otros ʼelohim, se postraron ante ellos, y les sirvieron. Por eso trajo sobre ellos todo este mal.

And they shall answer, 'Because they abandoned Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and took other gods, worshiped them, and served them. Therefore he has brought all these disasters on them.'"
