2 Crónicas 29
1 Ezequías tenía 25 años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó 29 años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Abías, hija de Zacarías.
Hezekiah became king when five and twenty years old, and twenty and nine years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Abiyah, the daughter of Zecharyahu.
2 Hizo lo recto ante Yavé, según todo lo que hizo su antepasado David.
And he did what is right in the eyes of the Lord, in accordance with all that David his father had done.
3 El primer año de su reinado, el mes primero, él abrió las puertas de la Casa de Yavé y las reparó.
He it was that in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the Lord, and repaired them.
4 Acercó a los sacerdotes y levitas, los reunió en la plaza oriental
And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the open place at the east;
5 y les dijo: Escúchenme, levitas. Santifíquense, santifiquen la Casa de Yavé el ʼElohim de sus antepasados y quiten la impureza del Santuario.
And he said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify yourselves now, and sanctity the house of the Lord the God of your fathers, and carry forth the unclean thing out of the sanctuary.
6 Porque nuestros antepasados fueron infieles e hicieron lo malo ante Yavé nuestro ʼElohim. Lo abandonaron, voltearon sus caras del Tabernáculo de Yavé y le dieron la espalda.
For our fathers have dealt faithlessly, and have done what is evil in the eyes of the Lord our God, and have forsaken him; and they have turned away their faces from the habitation of the Lord, and turned their backs.
7 También cerraron las puertas del patio, apagaron las lámparas y no quemaron incienso ni ofrecieron holocaustos en el Santuario al ʼElohim de Israel.
They had also locked up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and incense have they not burnt, and the burnt-offerings have they not offered in the sanctuary, unto the God of Israel.
8 Por eso la ira de Yavé cayó sobre Judá y Jerusalén. Él los convirtió en un objeto de terror, horror y escarnio como lo ven sus propios ojos.
Wherefore the wrath of the Lord is upon Judah and Jerusalem. and he hath rendered them to be a horror, an astonishment, and a hissing, as ye see with your eyes.
9 Ciertamente por esto nuestros antepasados cayeron a espada, y nuestros hijos, hijas y mujeres están cautivos.
And, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons, and our daughters, and our wives are in captivity because of this.
10 Ahora pues, decidí hacer un pacto con Yavé ʼElohim de Israel, para que el ardor de su ira se aparte de nosotros.
Now it is in my heart to make a covenant for the Lord the God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.
11 Por tanto, hijos míos, no sean negligentes, porque Yavé los escogió para que estén ante Él y le sirvan, a fin de que le ministren y le quemen incienso.
My sons, be not negligent now; for of you hath the Lord made choice to stand before him, to minister unto him, and that ye might be unto him ministers and those that burn incense.
12 Entonces se levantaron los levitas: Mahat, hijo de Amasai, y Joel, hijo de Azarías, de los hijos de Coat; y de los hijos de Merari, Cis, hijo de Abdi, y Azarías, hijo de Jehalelel; y de los gersonitas, Joa, hijo de Zima, y Edén, hijo de Joa;
Then arose the Levites, Machath the son of 'Amassai, and Joel the son of 'Azaryahu, of the sons of the Kehathites; and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of 'Abdi, and 'Azaryahu the son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershunites, Joach the son of Zimmah, and 'Eden the son of Joach:
13 y de los hijos de Elizafán, Simri y Jeiel; y de los hijos de Asaf, Zacarías y Matanías;
And of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri, and Je'iel; and of the sons of Assaph, Zecharyahu and Matthanyahu;
14 y de los hijos de Hemán, Jehiel y Simei; y de los hijos de Jedutún, Semaías y Uziel.
And of the sons of Heman, Jechiel and Shim'i; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shema'yah and 'Uzziel;
15 Éstos reunieron a sus hermanos. Se santificaron y entraron para limpiar la Casa de Yavé, según el mandamiento del rey y según las Palabras de Yavé.
And they gathered together their brethren, and they sanctified themselves, and came, according to the command of the king, by the words of the Lord, to cleanse the house of the Lord.
16 Entraron los sacerdotes en la Casa de Yavé para limpiarla. Sacaron al patio de la Casa toda la impureza que hallaron en el Santuario de Yavé, y los levitas la tomaron para sacarla al torrente Cedrón.
And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord, to cleanse it; and they brought out every thing unclean which they found in the temple of the Lord into the court of the house of the Lord; and the Levites received it, to carry it out abroad unto the brook Kidron.
17 Comenzaron la limpieza el primero día del mes primero, y el octavo día llegaron al patio de [la Casa de] Yavé. Continuaron limpiando otros ocho días. Terminaron el día 16 del mes primero.
And they commenced on the first day of the first month to sanctify; and on the eighth day of the month they came to the porch of the Lord, and they sanctified the house of the Lord in eight days; and on the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
18 Entonces fueron al rey Ezequías y le dijeron: Limpiamos toda la Casa de Yavé, el altar del holocausto, todos sus utensilios, la mesa de la Presentación y todos sus utensilios.
Then went they in the inner part [of the palace] to king Hezekiah, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the Lord, and the altar of burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of shewbread, and all its vessels.
19 También preparamos y consagramos todos los utensilios que el rey Acaz desechó durante su reinado a causa de su infidelidad. Ahí están delante del altar de Yavé.
Moreover all the vessels, which king Achaz had cast aside during his reign in his faithlessness, have we put in order and sanctified: and, behold, they are before the altar of the Lord.
20 El rey Ezequías madrugó, reunió a los jefes de la ciudad y subió a la Casa de Yavé.
Then arose king Hezekiah early, and gathered together the princes of the city, and went up to the house of the Lord.
21 Llevaron siete becerros, siete carneros, siete corderos y siete machos cabríos como ofrenda por el pecado, a favor del reino, del Santuario y a favor de todo Judá. Mandó a los sacerdotes descendientes de Aarón ofrecerlos sobre el altar de Yavé.
And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven sheep, and seven he-goats, as a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he ordered the sons of Aaron the priests to offer [them] on the altar of the Lord.
22 Degollaron los becerros. Los sacerdotes recogieron la sangre y la rociaron hacia el altar. Hicieron lo mismo con los carneros y los corderos.
So they slaughtered the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar; and they slaughtered the rams, and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar; they also slaughtered the sheep, and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar.
23 Después acercaron los machos cabríos ante el rey y la congregación para la ofrenda que apacigua. Colocaron sus manos sobre ellos.
And they brought near the he-goats of the sin-offering before the king and the congregation; and they laid their hands upon them:
24 Los sacerdotes los degollaron e hicieron una ofrenda que apacigua con su sangre sobre el altar, para hacer ofrenda que apacigua por todo Israel, porque el rey ordenó que el holocausto y la ofrenda se hicieran a favor de todo Israel.
And the priests slaughtered them, and they made an expiation with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel; because for all the people, said the king, should be the burnt-offering and the sin-offering.
25 Colocó a los levitas en la Casa de Yavé con címbalos, salterios y arpas, según el mandamiento de David, de Gad, vidente del rey, y del profeta Natán, pues ese mandamiento llegó de Yavé por medio de sus profetas.
And he stationed the Levites in the house of the Lord with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the command of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet: because from the Lord was this commandment by means of his prophets.
26 Se pusieron en pie los levitas con los instrumentos de David y los sacerdotes con las trompetas.
And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 Entonces Ezequías ordenó que se ofreciera el holocausto sobre el altar. Cuando comenzó el holocausto, también comenzó el cántico de Yavé, el sonido de las trompetas y los instrumentos de David, rey de Israel.
And Hezekiah ordered to offer the burnt-offering on the altar. And when the burnt-offering began, the song of the Lord began [also] with the trumpets, and with the instruments of David the king of Israel.
28 Toda la congregación se postró mientras elevaban cánticos y tocaban las trompetas, todo hasta cuando el holocausto fue consumido.
And all the assembly prostrated themselves, and the song sounded, and the trumpeters blew; all this [continued] until the burnt-offering was completed.
29 Cuando se consumió el holocausto, el rey y todos los que estaban con él se inclinaron y se postraron.
And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him kneeled down and prostrated themselves.
30 Entonces el rey Ezequías y los jefes ordenaron a los levitas que alabaran a Yavé con las palabras de David y del vidente Asaf. Ellos elevaron alabanzas con gran júbilo, se inclinaron y se postraron.
And king Hezekiah and the princes then said to the Levites to sing praises unto the Lord with the words of David, and of Assaph the seer. And they sang praises with great joy, and they bowed their heads and prostrated themselves.
31 Ezequías tomó la palabra: Ahora ustedes se consagraron a Yavé. Acérquense y ofrezcan sacrificios y ofrendas de acción de gracias en la Casa de Yavé. Y la congregación ofreció sacrificios y ofrendas de acción de gracias. Todos los generosos de corazón ofrecieron holocaustos.
Then commenced Hezekiah, and said, Now have ye consecrated yourselves unto the Lord: come near and bring sacrifices and thanksgiving-offerings unto the house of the Lord. And the assembly brought in sacrifices and thanksgiving-offerings, and every one who was liberal of heart, burnt-offerings.
32 La congregación llevó 70 becerros, 100 carneros y 200 corderos como holocausto a Yavé.
And the number of the burnt-offerings, which the assembly brought, was seventy bullocks, one hundred rams, [and] two hundred sheep: as a burnt-offering unto the Lord were all these.
33 Las ofrendas consagradas fueron 600 becerros y 3.000 ovejas.
And the hallowed sacrifices were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.
34 Pero los sacerdotes eran muy pocos y no bastaban para desollar los holocaustos. Sus hermanos levitas les ayudaron hasta terminar la labor, y hasta cuando los demás sacerdotes se santificaron, porque los levitas fueron más rectos de corazón para santificarse que los sacerdotes.
Only the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt-offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites assisted them, till the work was ended, and until the other priests could sanctify themselves, for the Levites were of upright heart to sanctify themselves more than the priests.
35 Hubo holocaustos en abundancia, grasa de las ofrendas de paz y las libaciones para cada holocausto. De esta manera el servicio en la Casa de Yavé quedó restablecido.
But there were also burnt-offerings in abundance, with the fat of the peace-offerings, and the drink-offerings for the burnt-offerings. So was [again] established the service of the house of the Lord.
36 Ezequías se regocijó con todo el pueblo porque ʼElohim lo preparó, pues la celebración ocurrió de manera tan repentina.
And Hezekiah rejoiced, with all the people, over that which God had prepared for the people; because the thing occurred suddenly.
