2 Crónicas 27
1 Jotam tenía 25 años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén 16 años. El nombre de su madre fue Jerusa, hija de Sadoc.
Twenty and five years old was Jotham when he became king, and sixteen years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Yerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
2 Hizo lo recto ante Yavé, según todo lo que hizo su padre Uzías, excepto que no entró en el Santuario de Yavé. Sin embargo, el pueblo seguía su acción hacia la corrupción.
And he did what is right in the eyes of the Lord, in accordance with all that his father 'Uzziyahu had done: only he entered not into the temple of the Lord. But the people acted still corruptly.
3 Él edificó la puerta superior de la Casa de Yavé, y construyó extensamente el muro de Ofel.
He it was that built the upper gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of the hill-fort he built much.
4 También edificó ciudades en la región montañosa de Judá y construyó fortalezas y torres en los bosques.
Moreover he built cities in the mountain of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
5 También tuvo guerra contra el rey de los hijos de Amón, a quienes derrotó. En aquel año los amonitas le dieron 3,3 toneladas de plata, 2.200.000 litros de trigo y 2.200.000 litros de cebada. Los amonitas le pagaron también esto en el segundo y en el tercer año.
And he likewise fought with the king of the sons of 'Ammon, and prevailed against them. And the children of 'Ammon gave him in that same year one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand kors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of 'Ammon pay unto him again, both in the second year, and in the third.
6 Jotam se fortaleció, porque dispuso sus procedimientos delante de Yavé su ʼElohim.
So Jotham became strong; because he directed his ways before the Lord his God.
7 Los demás hechos de Jotam, todas sus guerras y sus procedimientos, ciertamente están escritos en el rollo de los Reyes de Israel y de Judá.
And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
8 Tenía 25 años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó 16 años en Jerusalén.
Five and twenty years old was he when he became king, and sixteen years did he reign in Jerusalem.
9 Jotam reposó con sus antepasados, y lo sepultaron en la Ciudad de David. Reinó en su lugar su hijo Acaz.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Achaz his son became king in his stead.
