1 Corintios 10
1 Hermanos, deseo que no ignoren que nuestros antepasados estuvieron todos bajo la nube y todos pasaron por el mar.
For I wish not ye should be ignorant, brethren, that, all our fathers, were, under the cloud, and, all, passed through the sea, —
2 Con Moisés, todos fueron bautizados en la nube y en el mar,
And, all, immersed themselves into Moses, in the cloud, and in the sea;
3 todos comieron el mismo alimento espiritual
And, all, did eat [the same] spiritual food,
4 y todos bebieron la misma bebida espiritual, porque bebían de la Roca espiritual que los seguía, y la Roca era Cristo.
And, all, drank, the same spiritual drink, —for they continued to drink of the spiritual rock that followed them, and, the rock, was the Christ: —
5 Pero muchos de ellos no agradaron a Dios y quedaron tendidos en el desierto.
Nevertheless, with the most of them, God, was not well-pleased, for they were strewed along in the desert.
6 Todas esas cosas sucedieron como ejemplos para nosotros, a fin de que no codiciemos cosas malas, como las que ellos codiciaron.
But, in these things, they became, ensamples for us, to the end we should not be covetous of evil things, even as, they, also coveted;
7 No adoren ídolos como algunos de ellos. Como está escrito: El pueblo se sentó a comer y a beber, y se levantó a divertirse.
Neither become ye, idolaters, as some of them, —as it is written—The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to be making sport;
8 Ni practiquemos inmoralidad sexual, como algunos de ellos practicaron inmoralidad sexual, y en un día cayeron 23.000.
Neither let us commit fornication, as, some of them, committed fornication, and there fell, in one day, three and twenty thousand;
9 Ni tentemos a Cristo, como algunos de ellos lo tentaron, y murieron mordidos por las serpientes.
Neither let us be putting the Lord to the test, as, some of them, put him to the test, and, by the serpents, were perishing;
10 Ni murmuremos, como algunos de ellos murmuraron, y perecieron en manos del destructor.
Neither be ye murmuring, even, as some of them, murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
11 Estas cosas les sucedieron como ejemplo, y fueron escritas como amonestación para nosotros, los que vivimos el fin de los tiempos. (aiōn g165)
But, these things, by way of type, were happening unto them, and were written with a view to our admonition, unto whom, the ends of the ages, have reached along. (aiōn g165)
12 Así que, el que piensa estar firme, tenga cuidado que no caiga.
So that, he that thinketh he is standing, let him take heed lest he fall.
13 No los atrapó alguna tentación que no sea humana. Fiel es Dios, Quien no dejará que sean tentados más de lo que puedan soportar. Y junto con la tentación proveerá la salida para que puedan resistir.
Trial, hath not taken you, save such as man can bear; faithful, moreover is God, who will not suffer you to be tried above what ye are able, but will make, with the trial, also the way of escape, that ye may be able to hold out.
14 Por tanto, amados míos, huyan de la idolatría.
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry, —
15 Les hablo como a sabios. Juzguen ustedes lo que digo:
As, to prudent men, I speak, —judge, ye, what I say: —
16 La copa de bendición que bendecimos, ¿no es [la ]comunión de la sangre de Cristo? El pan que partimos, ¿no es [la ]comunión del cuerpo de Cristo?
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not, a sharing together of the blood of the Christ? The loaf which we break, is it not, a sharing together of the body of the Christ?
17 Por cuanto todos participamos del mismo pan, [nosotros], que somos muchos, somos un cuerpo.
Because, one loaf, one body, we, the many, are, for we, all, of the one loaf, partake.
18 Consideren al pueblo de Israel. ¿Los que comen los sacrificios no participan del altar?
Be looking at Israel after the flesh: —are not, they who eat the sacrifices, joint partakers with the altar?
19 ¿Qué quiero decir con esto? ¿Que un ídolo y la carne sacrificada a ídolos valen algo?
What, then, am I saying?—that, an idol-sacrifice, is anything? or that, an idol, is anything?
20 Más bien digo que ofrecen [los sacrificios a] los demonios y no a Dios. No quiero que ustedes participen con los demonios.
On the contrary—that, the things which the nations sacrifice, unto demons, and not unto God, they sacrifice; and I wish not that ye should become, sharers together with the demons!
21 No pueden beber la copa del Señor y la copa de los demonios, ni pueden comer la mesa del Señor y la mesa de demonios.
Ye cannot be drinking—a cup of the Lord, and a cup of demons; ye cannot be partaking of, a table of the Lord, and a table of demons.
22 ¿Provocamos a celos al Señor? ¿Somos más fuertes que Él?
Or are we to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we mightier than he?
23 Todo es lícito, pero no todo es provechoso. Todo es lícito, pero no todo edifica.
All things are allowable—but, not all things, are profitable, —all things are allowable—but, not all things, upbuild.
24 Nadie busque su propio bien, sino el del otro.
Let, no one, be seeking, what concerneth himself, but that which concerneth some one else.
25 Coman todo lo que se vende en [la] carnicería sin preguntar por causa de la conciencia,
Whatsoever, in the market, is sold, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake;
26 porque la tierra y todo lo que hay en ella son del Señor.
For, unto the Lord, belongeth the earth, and the fullness thereof.
27 Si algún incrédulo los invita, y quieren ir, coman todo lo que se sirva sin preguntar por causa de la conciencia.
If one of them who believe not invite you, and ye are disposed to go, whatsoever is set before you, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake.
28 Pero si alguno les dice: Esto es de lo sacrificado [a ídolos], no coman por causa de aquel que [les] informó, y de la conciencia.
But, if anyone should say unto you, —This, is, a holy sacrifice, do not eat, for that man’s sake who disclosed it, and for conscience sake: —
29 No me refiero a tu propia conciencia, sino a la de otro. Pues, ¿por qué se juzga mi libertad por la conciencia de otro?
But, conscience, I mean, not thine own, but the other’s, —for why is my freedom to be judged by another’s conscience?
30 Si yo participo con gratitud, ¿por qué me censuran por [comer] aquello de lo cual doy gracias?
If, I, with gratitude, partake, why am I to be defamed, as to that for which, I, give thanks?
31 Por tanto, si comen, beben o hacen cualquier cosa, hagan todo para [la] gloria de Dios.
Whether, therefore, ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do, all things to the glory of God.
32 No ofendan a judíos, ni a griegos ni a la iglesia de Dios,
Give no occasion of stumbling—whether to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God:
33 como también yo procuro complacer a todos en todo, sin procurar mi beneficio, sino el de muchos para que sean salvos.
Even as, I also, in all things do please all, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
