1 Hijos de Isacar: Tola, Fúa, Jasub y Simrón: cuatro.
Issachar’s four sons were Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron.
2 Hijos de Tola: Uzi, Refaías, Jeriel, Jahmai, Jibsam y Semuel, jefes de las casas paternas. De Tola fueron contados por sus familias 22.6000 hombres valientes en sus generaciones en el tiempo de David.
Tola’s sons were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Samuel (OR, Shemuel). They were all leaders of the clans [descended from] them. In the record of Tola’s descendants were the names of 22,600 men who served in the army during the time that David was the king [of Israel].
3 El hijo de Uzi fue Israhías, y los hijos de Israhías: Micael, Obadías, Joel e Isías, un total de cinco jefes.
Uzzi’s son was Izrahiah. Izrahiah’s five sons were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. Izrahiah and his sons were all leaders of their clans.
4 Había con ellos en sus familias y sus casas paternas, 36.000 hombres guerreros, porque tuvieron muchas mujeres e hijos.
In the record of Izrahiah’s descendants were the names of 36,000 men who served in the army because they had many wives and children.
5 Sus hermanos, según todas las familias de Isacar, contados por sus genealogías, eran 87.000 hombres valientes.
In the records of the clans descended from Issachar were the names of 87,000 men who served in the army.
6 Hijos de Benjamín: Bela, Bequer y Jediael: tres.
[Some of the] sons of Benjamin were Bela, Beker, and Jediael.
7 Hijos de Bela: Ezbón, Uzi, Uziel, Jerimot e Iri: cinco jefes de casas paternas, hombres valientes y de la descendencia de los cuales fueron contados 22.034.
Bela’s five sons were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. They were all leaders of clans. In the records of the clans descended from Bela there were names of 22,034 men who served in the army.
8 Hijos de Bequer: Zemira, Joás, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jerimot, Abías, Anatot y Alamet. Todos éstos fueron hijos de Bequer.
Beker’s sons were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth.
9 Contados por sus descendencias, por sus familias, los que eran jefes de familias resultaron 20.200 hombres valientes.
In the records of the clans descended from Beker were the names of 20,200 men and leaders of the clans who served in the army.
10 Hijo de Jediael fue Bilhán. Los hijos de Bilhán: Jeús, Benjamín, Aod, Quenaana, Zetán, Tarsis y Ahisahar.
Jediael’s son was Bilhan. Bilhan’s sons were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
11 Todos éstos fueron hijos de Jediael, jefes de familias, hombres valientes, 17.200 que salían a combatir en la guerra.
They were all leaders of clans descended from them. There were 17,200 of them who served in the army.
12 Supim y Hupim fueron hijos de Hir. Husim fue hijo de Aher.
Shuppim and Huppim were descendants of Ir. [One of] the descendants of Aher was Hushim.
13 Hijos de Neftalí: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer y Salum, hijos de Bilha.
Naphtali’s sons were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem. They were all descendants of [Jacob’s slave wife] Bilhah.
14 Hijos de Manasés: Asriel, al cual dio a luz su concubina siria, quien también dio a luz a Maquir, padre de Galaad.
[This is a list of] Manasseh’s descendants. Manasseh had a slave wife who was from Syria. She was the mother of Asriel and Makir. Makir was the father of Gilead.
15 Maquir tomó como esposa a la hermana de Hupim y Supim. Se llamaba Maaca. El nombre del segundo descendiente fue Zelofehad, quien tuvo hijas.
Makir [had two wives]. They were from the clans of Huppim and Shuppim. One of Makir’s wives was named Maacah. Another descendant [of Makir] was Zelophehad. Zelophehad [had no sons; he] had only daughters.
16 Maaca, esposa de Maquir, dio a luz un hijo, y lo llamó Peres. El nombre de su hermano fue Seres, los hijos del cual fueron Ulam y Requem.
Makir’s wife Maacah gave birth to two sons whom she named Peresh and Sheresh. Sheresh’s sons were Ulam and Rakem.
17 El hijo de Ulam fue Bedán. Éstos fueron los hijos de Galaad, hijo de Maquir, hijo de Manasés.
Ulam’s son was Bedan. All those [men were considered to be] descendants of Gilead, who was the son of Makir and grandson of Manasseh.
18 Su hermana Hamolequet dio a luz a Isod, Abiezer, Mahala y Semida.
Makir’s sister name was Hammoleketh who was the mother of Ishdod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
19 Los hijos de Semida fueron Ahián, Siquem, Likhi y Aniam.
[One son of Gilead was] Shemida, whose sons were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
20 Hijos de Efraín: Sutela, Bered, Tahat, Elada, Tahat,
[This is a list of] the descendants of Ephraim. One son of Ephraim’s was Shuthelah. Shuthelah’s son was Bered. Bered’s son was Tahath. Tahath’s son was Eleadah. Eleadah’s son was [also named] Tahath.
21 Zabad Sutela, Ezer y Elad. Pero los hombres de Gat, naturales de aquella tierra, los mataron porque bajaron a quitarles sus ganados.
Tahath’s son was Zabad. Zabad’s son was Shuthelah. [Ephraim’s other sons, ] Ezer and Elead, went to Gath [city] to steal some cows and sheep. But they were both killed by some of the men from that city.
22 Su padre Efraín les hizo duelo muchos días, y sus hermanos llegaron a consolarlo.
Their father Ephraim cried/mourned for them for many days, and his family came to comfort him.
23 Luego se unió a su esposa, la cual concibió y dio a luz un hijo, al cual llamó Bería, porque su casa estaba en aflicción.
Then he and his wife had sex [EUP] [again], and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Ephraim named him Beriah [which resembles the word ‘trouble’, ] because of the trouble that his family had experienced.
24 Y su hija fue Seera, la cual edificó Bet-horón, la baja y la alta, y también Uzen-seera.
Ephraim’s daughter was Sheerah. Her workers built [three towns]: Lower Beth-Horon, Upper Beth-Horon, and Uzzen-Sheerah.
25 Hijos de este Bería fueron Refa, Resef, Telah, Tahán,
[Another] son of Ephraim was Rephah. Rephah’s son was Resheph. Resheph’s son was Telah. Telah’s son was Tahan.
26 Laadán, Amiud, Elisama,
Tahan’s son was Ladan. Ladan’s son was Ammihud. Ammihud’s son was Elishama.
27 Non y Josué.
Elishama’s son was Nun. Nun’s son was Joshua, [the man who led the Israelis after Moses died].
28 La herencia y lugar de residencia de ellos fue Bet-ʼEl con sus aldeas, y hacia el oriente Naarán, y en el occidente Gezer y sus aldeas, asimismo Siquem con sus aldeas, hasta Gaza y sus aldeas;
[This is a list of] the cities and areas where the descendants of Ephraim lived: Bethel and the nearby villages; Naaran to the east; Gezer to the west and the nearby villages; and Shechem and the nearby villages. Those villages extended [north] as far as Ayyah and the nearby villages.
29 y junto al territorio de los hijos de Manasés, Bet-seán, Taanac, Meguido y Dor, cada uno con sus aldeas. En estos lugares vivieron los hijos de José, hijo de Israel.
Along the border of the area where the descendants of Manasseh lived were these towns: Beth-Shan, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, and the nearby villages. The people who lived in all those places were descendants of Jacob’s son Joseph.
30 Hijos de Aser: Imna, Isúa, Isúi, Bería y su hermana Sera.
Asher’s sons were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah. Their sister was Serah.
31 Hijos de Bería: Heber y Malquiel, el cual fue padre de Birzavit.
Beriah’s sons were Heber and Malkiel. Malkiel was the father of Birzaith
32 Heber engendró a Jaflet, Semer, Hotam y Súa, hermana de ellos.
Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham. Their sister was Shua.
33 Hijos de Jaflet: Pasac, Bimhal y Asvat.
Japhlet’s sons were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath.
34 Hijos de Semer fueron: Ahi, Rohga, Jehúba y Aram.
Japhlet’s [younger] brother was Shomer. Shomer’s sons were Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
35 Hijos de su hermano Helem fueron: Zofa, Imna, Seles y Amal.
Shomer’s [younger] brother was Hotham (OR, Helem). Hotham’s sons were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
36 Hijos de Zofa: Súa, Harnefer, Súal, Beri, Imra,
Zophah’s sons were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
37 Beser, Hod, Sama, Silsa, Itrán y Beera.
Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran [whose other name was Jether], and Beera.
38 Hijos de Jeter: Jefone, Pispa y Ara.
Jether’s sons were Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara.
39 Hijos de Ula: Ara, Haniel y Rezia.
[Another descendant of Asher was] Ulla, whose sons were Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.
40 Todos éstos fueron hijos de Aser, jefes de familias paternas, escogidos, hombres valientes, jefes de líderes. Fueron contados por sus familias entre los que podían tomar las armas. El número de ellos fue 26.000 hombres.
All those men were descendants of Asher, and they were all leaders of their clans. They were brave warriors and excellent leaders. In the record of the clans that are descended from Asher are [the names of] 26,000 men who served in the army.
