1 Crónicas 5
1 Hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel. Él era el primogénito, pero porque profanó el lecho de su padre, su primogenitura fue dada a los hijos de José, hijo de Israel, y no fue posible registrarlo como primogénito.
And the sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel (for he [was] the firstborn; but because of his going up to his father's couch, [his father] gave his blessing to his son Joseph, [even] the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as firstborn;
2 Aunque la primogenitura correspondió a José, Judá fue superior entre sus hermanos y el jefe de ellos, pero el privilegio de primogenitura fue para José.
for Judas [was] very mighty even among his brethren, and one was to be a ruler out of him: but the blessing [was] Joseph's).
3 Los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, fueron: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi.
The sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel; Enoch, and Phallus, Asrom, and Charmi.
4 Los hijos de Joel: Semaías, Gog, Simei,
The sons of Joel; Semei, and Banaia his son: and the sons of Gug the son of Semei.
5 Micaía, Reaía, y
His son [was] Micha, his son Recha, his son Joel,
6 Beera, el cual fue transportado por Tiglat-pileser, rey de los asirios. Éste fue jefe de los rubenitas.
his son Beel, whom Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria carried away captive: he [is] the chief of the Rubenites.
7 Sus hermanos según sus familias, cuando fueron contados según sus generaciones, tenían a Jeiel como jefe, Zacarías,
And his brethren in his family, in their distribution according to their generations; the chief, Joel, and Zacharia.
8 Bela, hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel, quien vivió en Aroer hasta Nebo y Baal-meón.
And Balec the son of Azuz, the son of Sama, the son of Joel: he lived in Aroer, and even to Naban, and Beelmasson.
9 Se estableció también hacia el oriente hasta la entrada del desierto [que se extiende] desde el río Éufrates, porque tenía mucho ganado en la tierra de Galaad.
And he lived eastward to the borders of the wilderness, from the river Euphrates: for they had much cattle in the land of Galaad.
10 Pero en tiempo de Saúl guerrearon contra los agarenos, los cuales cayeron en su mano. Y ellos vivieron en sus tiendas en toda la región oriental de Galaad.
And in the days of Saul they made war upon the sojourners [in the land]; and they fell into their hands, all of them dwelling in their tents eastward of Galaad.
11 Los hijos de Gad vivieron enfrente a [los rubenitas] en la tierra de Basán hasta Salca.
The sons of Gad lived over against them in the land of Basan even to Sela.
12 Joel fue el jefe en Basán. El segundo Safán, luego Jaanai, después Safat.
Joel the firstborn, and Sapham the second, and Janin the scribe in Basan.
13 Sus hermanos, según las familias de sus padres, fueron Micael, Mesulam, Seba, Jorai, Jacán, Zía y Heber: siete.
And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers; Michael, Mosollam, and Sebee, and Joree, and Joachan, and Zue, and Obed, seven.
14 Éstos fueron los hijos de Abihail, hijo de Huri, hijo de Jaroa, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Micael, hijo de Jesisai, hijo de Jahdo, hijo de Buz.
These [are] the sons of Abichaia the son of Uri, the son of Idai, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesai, the son of Jeddai, the son of Buz,
15 También Ahí, hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guni, fue jefe en la casa de sus padres.
[who was] the brother of the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, [he was] chief of the house of their families.
16 Vivieron en Galaad, Basán y sus aldeas, y todos los campos de alrededor de Sarón hasta sus confines.
They lived in Galaad, in Basan, and in their villages, and [in] all the country round about Saron to the border.
17 Todos éstos fueron contados según sus generaciones en los días de Jotam, rey de Judá, y en tiempo de Jeroboam, rey de Israel.
The enumeration of [them] all took place in the days of Joatham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Los hijos de Rubén y de Gad, y la media tribu de Manasés, hombres valientes, hombres que portaban escudo y espada, expertos en el manejo del arco y diestros en la guerra, eran 44.760 que salían a la guerra.
The sons of Ruben and Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasse, of mighty men, bearing shields and sword, and bending the bow, and skilled in war, [were] forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going forth to battle.
19 Éstos tuvieron guerra contra los agarenos, y Jetur, Nafis y Nodab.
And they made war with the Agarenes, and Itureans, and Naphiseans, and Nadabeans,
20 En medio del combate clamaron a su ʼElohim, y les fue favorable porque confiaron en Él. Los agarenos y todos sus aliados fueron entregados en sus manos.
and they prevailed against them: and the Agaraeans were given into their hands, [they] and all their tents: for they cried to God in the battle, and he listened to them, because they trusted on him.
21 Tomaron sus ganados: 50.000 camellos, 250.000 ovejas y 2.000 asnos, además de 100.000 personas.
And they took captive their store; five thousand camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men.
22 Muchos cayeron muertos, porque la batalla era de ʼElohim. Vivieron en sus lugares hasta el cautiverio.
For many fell slain, because the war [was] of God. And they lived in their place until the captivity.
23 Los hijos de la media tribu de Manasés vivieron en la tierra desde Basán hasta Baal-hermón, Senir y la montaña Hermón, y se multiplicaron muchísimo.
And the half-tribe of Manasse lived from Basan to Baal, Ermon, and Sanir, and [to] the mount Aermon: and they increased in Libanus.
24 Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel, hombres valientes y esforzados, varones de renombre y jefes de las casas paternas.
And these were the heads of the houses of their families; Opher, and Sei, and Eliel, and Jeremia, and Oduia, and Jediel, mighty men of valour, men of renown, heads of the houses of their families.
25 Pero se rebelaron contra el ʼElohim de sus padres, y se prostituyeron al seguir a los ʼelohim de los pueblos de la tierra, a los cuales Yavé quitó de delante de ellos.
But they rebelled against the God of their fathers, and went a-whoring after the gods of the nations of the land, whom God cast out from before them.
26 Por lo cual el ʼElohim de Israel incitó el espíritu de Pul, rey de los asirios, es decir el espíritu de Tiglat-pileser, rey de los asirios, quien deportó a los rubenitas, gaditas y a la media tribu de Manasés. Los llevó a Halah, Habor, Hara y al río Gozán, hasta hoy.
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phaloch king of Assyria, and the spirit of Thagla-phallasar king of Assyria, and carried away Ruben and Gaddi, and the half-tribe of Manasse, and brought them to Chaach, and Chabor, and to the river Gozan, until this day.
