1 Asimismo David y los jefes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio a algunos de los hijos de Asaf, Hemán y Jedutún, quienes cantaban salmos proféticos al son de arpas, salterios y címbalos. El número de los hombres idóneos para la obra de su ministerio, fue:

And David and the captains of the host separated for the service those of the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun who were to prophesy with harps and lutes and cymbals; and the number of the men employed according to their service was:

2 De los hijos de Asaf, Zacur, José, Netanías y Asarela, a cargo de Asaf, quien cantaba salmos proféticos al lado del rey.

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied at the direction of the king.

3 De Jedutún, los hijos de Jedutún, Gedalías, Zeri, Jesaías, Asabais y Matatías, seis, bajo la dirección de su padre Jedutún, el cual también cantaba salmos proféticos al son del arpa para aclamar y alabar a Yavé.

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Isaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, [and Shimei] six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the harp, to give thanks and to praise Jehovah.

4 De Hemán, los hijos de Hemán: Buquías, Matanías, Uziel, Sebuel, Jeremot, Hananías, Hanani, Eliata, Gidalti, Romanti-ezer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir y Mahaziot.

Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkijah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth:

5 Todos éstos eran los hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey, y tenían Palabras de ʼElohim para exaltar su poder, pues ʼElohim dio a Hemán 14 hijos y tres hijas.

all these were sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to exalt his power; and God had given to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Todos ellos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre, en el canto de la Casa de Yavé, con acompañamiento de címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del Santuario de ʼElohim. Asaf, Jedutún y Hemán estaban bajo la dirección del rey.

All these were under the direction of their fathers Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman, for song in the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, lutes and harps, for the service of the house of God, under the direction of the king.

7 El número de ellos, juntamente con sus hermanos instruidos en el canto a Yavé, todos aptos, era 288.

And the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of Jehovah, all of them skilful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

8 Echaron suertes para establecer los turnos del servicio, en el cual entraba tanto el pequeño con el grande, tanto el maestro como el discípulo.

And they cast lots with one another over the charges, the small as well as the great, the teacher with the scholar.

9 La primera suerte tocó a José, de los de Asaf, la segunda a Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos e hijos fueron 12;

And the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; to Gedaliah the second: he and his brethren and his sons were twelve.

10 la tercera a Zacur, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The third to Zaccur; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

11 la cuarta a Izri, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The fourth to Jizri; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

12 la quinta a Netanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The fifth to Nethaniah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

13 la sexta a Buquías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The sixth to Bukkijah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

14 la séptima a Jesarela, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The seventh to Jesharelah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

15 la octava a Jesahías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The eighth to Isaiah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

16 la novena a Matanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The ninth to Mattaniah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

17 la décima a Simei, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The tenth to Shimei; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

18 la undécima a Azareel, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The eleventh to Azareel; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

19 la duodécima a Hasabías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The twelfth to Hashabiah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

20 la decimotercera a Subael, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The thirteenth to Shubael; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

21 la decimocuarta a Matatías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The fourteenth to Mattithiah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

22 la decimoquinta a Jeremot, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The fifteenth to Jeremoth; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

23 la decimosexta a Hananías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The sixteenth to Hananiah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

24 la decimoséptima a Josbecasa, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The seventeenth to Joshbekashah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

25 la decimoctava a Hanani, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The eighteenth to Hanani; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

26 la decimonovena a Maloti, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The nineteenth to Mallothi; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

27 la vigésima a Eliata, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The twentieth to Elijathah; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

28 la vigesimoprimera a Hotir, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The twenty-first to Hothir; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

29 la vigesimosegunda a Gidalti, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The twenty-second to Giddalti; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

30 la vigesimotercera a Mahaziot, con sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron 12;

The twenty-third to Mahazioth; his sons and his brethren, twelve.
