1 Crónicas 12
1 Éstos eran los que fueron a David en Siclag, cuando él estaba aún encerrado por causa de Saúl, hijo de Cis, y eran de los valientes que lo ayudaron en la guerra.
The following is a list of the men who joined David when he was at Ziklag, still hiding from Saul, son of Kish. They were some of the leading warriors who fought on David's side.
2 Estaban armados con arcos. Usaban ambas manos para tirar piedras con honda y flechas con arco. De los hermanos de Saúl, de Benjamín:
They were all skilled archers, and could shoot arrows or slingshots with their right or their left hands. They were relatives of Saul from the tribe of Benjamin.

Ahiezer was their leader, then Joash; the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
4 Ismaías gabaonita, valiente entre los 30 y jefe de los 30, Jeremías, Jahaziel, Johanán, Jozabad gederatita,
Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, (a strong warrior among the Thirty, and leader over the Thirty); Jeremiah; Jahaziel; Johanan; Jozabad the Gederathite;
5 Eluzai, Jerimot, Bealías, Semarías, Sefatías harufita,
Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6 Elcana, Isías, Hazi, Azareel, Joezer,
Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam (they were Korahites);
7 Joela y Zebadías, hijos de Jeroham de Gedor.
and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham from Gedor.
8 También de los de Gad se pasaron a David, a la fortaleza en el desierto, hombres fuertes y valientes, entrenados para la guerra, diestros con el escudo y la lanza, cuyas caras eran como caras de leones. Eran tan ligeros como las gacelas en las montañas.
Some warriors from the tribe of Gad went over to David's side when he was at the stronghold in the desert. They were strong and experienced warriors, battle-hardened, experts in the use of shields and spears. Their faces looked as fierce as lions, and they ran as fast as gazelles in the mountains.

Ezer the was the leader, Obadiah (second), Eliab (third),
10 Mismana el cuarto, Jeremías el quinto,
Mishmannah (fourth), Jeremiah (fifth),
11 Atai el sexto, Eliel el séptimo,
Attai (sixth), Eliel (seventh),
12 Johanán el octavo, Elzabad el noveno,
Johanan (eighth), Elzabad (ninth),
13 Jeremías el décimo y Macbanai el undécimo.
Jeremiah (tenth), Machbannai (eleventh).
14 Éstos fueron jefes del ejército de los hijos de Gad. El menor tenía a su cargo 100 hombres, y el mayor de ellos, 1.000.
These warriors from Gad were army officers. The least able of them was in charge of 100 men; the best was in charge of 1,000.
15 Éstos pasaron el Jordán el mes primero cuando estaba desbordado por todas sus riberas. Pusieron en fuga a todos los de los valles, tanto al oriente como al occidente.
These were ones who crossed the Jordan River in the first month of the year when it overflows its banks. They chased out all the people living in the valley, both to the east and to the west.
16 También algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y de Judá fueron a David a la fortaleza.
Some others from the tribes of Benjamin and Judah also came to join David at the stronghold.
17 David salió a recibirlos y les habló: Si vienen a mí en paz para ayudarme, mi corazón se unirá a ustedes. Pero si vienen para entregarme a mis enemigos, sin haber iniquidad en mis manos, ¡que el ʼElohim de nuestros antepasados lo vea y se lo demande!
David went out to meet them and told them, “If you've come in peace to help me, we can be friends. But if you've come to betray me to my enemies, even though I've done no wrong, then may the God of our fathers see what you're doing and condemn you.”
18 Entonces el Espíritu llegó sobre Amasai, jefe de los 30, y dijo: ¡Somos tuyos, oh David, y contigo estamos, hijo de Isaí! ¡Paz, paz a ti, y paz a tus ayudantes, pues también tu ʼElohim te ayuda! David los recibió y los designó como jefes de la tropa.
Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, the leader of the Thirty. “We are yours, David, and we are with you, son of Jesse! May peace, prosperity, and success be yours and those who help you, for God is the one who is helping you.” So David allowed them to join him, and put them in charge of his bands of raiders.
19 También algunos de Manasés se pasaron a David cuando iba con los filisteos a la batalla contra Saúl. Pero no los ayudó, porque los jefes de los filisteos tuvieron consejo y lo despidieron, pues dijeron: ¡Él puede pasarse a su ʼadón Saúl con nuestras cabezas!
Others came over to David's side from the tribe of Manasseh and joined him when he went with Philistines to attack Saul. However, the Philistine rulers eventually decided to send them away, saying to themselves, “It will cost us our heads if he deserts us and goes over to his master Saul.”
20 Cuando él iba a Siclag, [algunos] de los de Manasés se pasaron a él: Adnas, Jozabad, Jediaiel, Micael, Jozabad, Eliú y Ziletai, jefes de millares de los de Manasés.
The following is a list of the men from Manasseh who went over to David's side as he returned to Ziklag: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, leaders of thousands in Manasseh.
21 Éstos ayudaron a David contra la banda armada, pues todos ellos eran hombres valientes y fueron jefes en el ejército.
They helped David against raiders for they were all strong and experienced warriors and commanders in the army.
22 En aquel tiempo acudían día tras día a David para ayudarlo, hasta que se formó un gran ejército, como el ejército de ʼElohim.
Men arrived daily to help David until he had a large army, like the army of God.
23 Éste es el número de los jefes que estaban listos Kiriath Jearim para la guerra, que fueron a David en Hebrón a fin de traspasarle el reino de Saúl según la Palabra de Yavé:
This is a list of the numbers of armed warriors who came and joined David in Hebron to turn over Saul's kingdom to him, as the Lord had said.
24 De los hijos de Judá que portaban escudo y lanza: 6.800, listos para la guerra.
From the tribe of Judah, 6,800 warriors carrying shields and spears.
25 De los hijos de Simeón: 6.100 hombres, valientes y esforzados para la guerra.
From the tribe of Simeon, 7,100 strong warriors.
26 De los hijos de Leví: 4.600,
From the tribe of Levi, 4,600,
27 junto con Joiada, jefe de los descendientes de Aarón, y con él 3.700,
including Jehoiada, leader of the family of Aaron, and with him 3,700,
28 y Sadoc, joven valiente y esforzado, con 22 de los jefes de su casa paterna.
and Zadok, a strong young warrior, with 22 members of his family, all officers.
29 De los hijos de Benjamín, parientes de Saúl, 3.000, pues hasta entonces la mayor parte de ellos mantenían su lealtad a la casa de Saúl.
From the tribe of Benjamin, from among Saul's relatives, 3,000, most of whom had remained loyal to Saul up until this time.
30 De los hijos de Efraín, 20.800, muy valientes e ilustres varones en sus casas paternas.
From the tribe of Ephraim, 20,800 strong warriors, each highly regarded in his own clan.
31 De la media tribu de Manasés, 18.000, quienes fueron designados por nombre para ir a proclamar a David como rey.
From the half-tribe of Manasseh, 18,000 men were designated by name to come and make David king.
32 De los hijos de Isacar, 200 jefes, entendidos en distinguir los tiempos, que sabían lo que Israel debía hacer y cuyas órdenes seguían todos sus hermanos.
From the tribe of Issachar came leaders who knew and could understand the signs of the times and what Israel should do—a total of 200 leaders of the tribe together with their relatives.
33 De Zabulón, 50.000 hombres que salían a la batalla, prontos para la guerra con toda clase de armas de guerra, dispuestos a pelear sin doblez de corazón.
From the tribe of Zebulun, 50,000 warriors. They were fully armed and battle-ready, and totally dedicated.
34 De Neftalí, 1.000 jefes y 36.000 con escudo y lanza.
From the tribe of Naphtali, 1,000 officers and 37,000 warriors carrying shields and spears.
35 De los de Dan, dispuestos a pelear, 28.600.
From the tribe of Dan, 28,600 warriors, all battle-ready.
36 De Aser, 40.000 dispuestos para la guerra y preparados para pelear.
From the tribe of Asher, 40,000 experienced warriors, all battle-ready.
37 Del otro lado del Jordán, de los rubenitas, gaditas y de la media tribu de Manasés: 120.000 con toda clase de armas de guerra.
From the east side of the Jordan River, from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, 120,000 warriors carrying all kinds of weapons.
38 Todos estos hombres de guerra, listos para la batalla, fueron con corazón sincero a Hebrón para proclamar a David como rey sobre todo Israel. Todos los demás de Israel eran también del mismo sentir para proclamar rey a David.
All these men came to Hebron dressed for battle, completely committed to making David king. All of Israel agreed that David should become king.
39 Estuvieron allí con David tres días. Comían y bebían porque sus hermanos prepararon para ellos.
They stayed three days there, eating and drinking together, for their relatives had provided them with supplies.
40 También los vecinos, hasta Isacar, Zabulón y Neftalí, llevaron alimentos en asnos, camellos, mulas y bueyes: provisiones de harina, tortas de higos, uvas pasas, vino y aceite, y bueyes y ovejas en abundancia, porque había alegría en Israel.
Their neighbors, even as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, arrived bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen. They had plenty of flour, fig cakes, bunches of raisins, wine, olive oil, cattle, and sheep, for Israel was so happy.
