Zacarías 5

1 Entonces volví a alzar los ojos y vi, y he aquí un rollo volador.

Then I turned, and lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.

2 Me dijo: “¿Qué ves?” Respondí: “Veo un rollo volador; su longitud es de veinte codos, y su anchura de diez codos”.

And he said to me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; its length [is] twenty cubits, and its breadth ten cubits.

3 Entonces me dijo: “Esta es la maldición que sale sobre la superficie de toda la tierra, porque todo el que robe será cortado según ella por un lado; y todo el que jure en falso será cortado según ella por el otro.

Then said he to me, This [is] the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off [as] on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off [as] on that side according to it.

4 Haré que salga — dice el Señor de los Ejércitos — y entrará en la casa del ladrón y en la casa del que jura en falso por mi nombre; y se quedará en medio de su casa, y la destruirá con su madera y sus piedras.”

I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with its timber and its stones.

5 Entonces el ángel que hablaba conmigo se adelantó y me dijo: “Levanta ahora tus ojos y mira qué es esto que está apareciendo”.

Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said to me, Lift up now thy eyes, and see what [is] this that goeth forth.

6 Dije: “¿Qué es?” Dijo: “Esta es la cesta de ephah que está apareciendo”. Dijo además: “Esta es su aparición en toda la tierra —

And I said, What [is] it? And he said, This [is] an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This [is] their resemblance through all the earth.

7 y he aquí que se levantó una cubierta de plomo que pesaba un talento y había una mujer sentada en medio de la cesta ephah.”

And behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this [is] a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.

8 Y dijo: “Esta es la maldad;” y la arrojó en medio del cesto de efa; y arrojó el peso de plomo sobre su boca.

And he said, This [is] wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon its mouth.

9 Entonces levanté los ojos y vi, y he aquí que había dos mujeres; y el viento estaba en sus alas. Tenían alas como las de una cigüeña, y levantaban el cesto de efa entre la tierra y el cielo.

Then I lifted up my eyes, and looked and behold, there came out two women, and the wind [was] in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

10 Entonces dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: “¿Dónde están éstas que llevan el cesto de efa?”

Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?

11 Me dijo: “Para construirle una casa en la tierra de Sinar. Cuando esté preparada, se instalará allí en su propio lugar”.

And he said to me, To build for it a house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
