Cantar de los Cantares 5
1 He entrado en mi jardín, mi hermana, mi novia. He reunido mi mirra con mi especia; He comido mi panal con mi miel; He bebido mi vino con mi leche. Amigos ¡Comed, amigos! Bebe, sí, bebe en abundancia, amado.
I am come into my garden, my sister, [my] spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.
2 Yo estaba dormido, pero mi corazón estaba despierto. Es la voz de mi amada la que llama: “Ábreme, hermana mía, mi amor, mi paloma, mi inmaculada; porque mi cabeza está llena de rocío, y mi pelo con la humedad de la noche”.
I sleep, but my heart waketh: [it is] the voice of my beloved that knocketh, [saying], Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, [and] my locks with the drops of the night.
3 Me he quitado la túnica. ¿Debo ponérmela? Me he lavado los pies. De hecho, ¿debo ensuciarlos?
I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?
4 Mi amado metió la mano por la abertura del pestillo. Mi corazón latía por él.
My beloved put in his hand by the hole [of the door], and my bowels were moved for him.
5 Me levanté para abrir para mi amada. Mis manos goteaban mirra, mis dedos con mirra líquida, en las asas de la cerradura.
I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped [with] myrrh, and my fingers [with] sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.
6 Le abrí a mi amada; pero mi amado se fue, y se fue. Mi corazón se apagó cuando habló. Lo busqué, pero no lo encontré. Le llamé, pero no contestó.
I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, [and] was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
7 Los vigilantes que recorren la ciudad me encontraron. Me ganaron. Me han magullado. Los guardianes de las murallas me quitaron la capa.
The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.
8 Os conjuro, hijas de Jerusalén, Si encuentras a mi amada, que le digas que me desmayo de amor.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I [am] sick of love.
9 ¿Cómo es tu amado mejor que otro amado, ¿eres la más bella entre las mujeres? Cómo es que tu amado es mejor que otro amado, ¿que nos adjuntan?
What [is] thy beloved more than [another] beloved, O thou fairest among women? what [is] thy beloved more than [another] beloved, that thou dost so charge us?
10 Mi amado es blanco y rubicundo. El mejor entre diez mil.
My beloved [is] white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.
11 Su cabeza es como el oro más puro. Su pelo es tupido, negro como un cuervo.
His head [is as] the most fine gold, his locks [are] bushy, [and] black as a raven.
12 Sus ojos son como palomas junto a los arroyos de agua, lavados con leche, montados como joyas.
His eyes [are] as [the eyes] of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, [and] fitly set.
13 Sus mejillas son como un lecho de especias con torres de perfumes. Sus labios son como lirios, que dejan caer mirra líquida.
His cheeks [are] as a bed of spices, [as] sweet flowers: his lips [like] lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
14 Sus manos son como anillos de oro engastados con berilo. Su cuerpo es como una obra de marfil recubierta de zafiros.
His hands [are as] gold rings set with the beryl: his belly [is as] bright ivory overlaid [with] sapphires.
15 Sus piernas son como columnas de mármol asentadas sobre bases de oro fino. Su aspecto es como el Líbano, excelente como los cedros.
His legs [are as] pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance [is] as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
16 Su boca es la dulzura; Sí, es totalmente encantador. Este es mi amado, y este es mi amigo, hijas de Jerusalén.
His mouth [is] most sweet: yea, he [is] altogether lovely. This [is] my beloved, and this [is] my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.
