Romanos 1

1 Pablo, siervo de Jesucristo, llamado a ser apóstol, apartado para la Buena Nueva de Dios,

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2 que él prometió antes por medio de sus profetas en las santas Escrituras,

( Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures, )

3 acerca de su Hijo, que nació de la descendencia de David según la carne,

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

4 que fue declarado Hijo de Dios con poder según el Espíritu de santidad, por la resurrección de entre los muertos, Jesucristo nuestro Señor,

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

5 por quien recibimos la gracia y el apostolado para la obediencia de la fe entre todas las naciones por causa de su nombre;

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

6 entre los cuales también estáis llamados a pertenecer a Jesucristo;

Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

7 a todos los que están en Roma, amados de Dios, llamados a ser santos: Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 En primer lugar, doy gracias a mi Dios, por medio de Jesucristo, por todos vosotros, porque vuestra fe es proclamada en todo el mundo.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

9 Porque Dios es mi testigo, a quien sirvo en mi espíritu en la Buena Nueva de su Hijo, de cómo incesantemente hago mención de vosotros siempre en mis oraciones,

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

10 solicitando, si de alguna manera ahora por fin, me sea prosperada la voluntad de Dios para ir a vosotros.

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

11 Porque anhelo veros, para poder impartiros algún don espiritual, con el fin de que seáis firmes;

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

12 es decir, para que yo con vosotros me anime en vosotros, cada uno por la fe del otro, tanto la vuestra como la mía.

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

13 Ahora bien, no quiero que ignoréis, hermanos, que muchas veces planeé ir a vosotros (y me lo impidieron hasta ahora), para tener algún fruto también entre vosotros, como entre los demás gentiles.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, ( but was let hitherto, ) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

14 Soy deudor tanto de griegos como de extranjeros, tanto de sabios como de necios.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

15 Así que, en la medida en que está en mí, estoy deseoso de predicar la Buena Nueva también a vosotros que estáis en Roma.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16 Porque no me avergüenzo de la Buena Nueva de Cristo, porque es poder de Dios para la salvación de todo el que cree, primero para el judío y también para el griego.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 Porque en ella se revela la justicia de Dios de fe en fe. Como está escrito: “Pero el justo vivirá por la fe”.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 Porque la ira de Dios se revela desde el cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres que reprimen la verdad con injusticia,

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 porque lo que se conoce de Dios se revela en ellos, pues Dios se lo reveló.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 Porque las cosas invisibles de él, desde la creación del mundo, se ven claramente, percibiéndose por medio de las cosas hechas, su eterno poder y su divinidad, para que no tengan excusa. (aïdios g126)

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (aïdios g126)

21 Porque conociendo a Dios, no lo glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias, sino que se envanecieron en sus razonamientos, y su corazón insensato se oscureció.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Profesando ser sabios, se hicieron necios,

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 y cambiaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible por la semejanza de una imagen de hombre corruptible, y de aves, cuadrúpedos y reptiles.

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Por eso, Dios también los entregó a la impureza en los deseos de sus corazones, para que sus cuerpos fueran deshonrados entre ellos;

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 que cambiaron la verdad de Dios por la mentira, y adoraron y sirvieron a la criatura antes que al Creador, que es bendito por los siglos. Amén. (aiōn g165)

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

26 Por esta razón, Dios los entregó a pasiones viles. Porque sus mujeres cambiaron la función natural por lo que es contrario a la naturaleza.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 Así también los hombres, dejando la función natural de la mujer, ardieron en su lujuria mutua, haciendo los hombres lo que es inapropiado con los hombres, y recibiendo en sí mismos el debido castigo de su error.

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 Así como se negaron a tener a Dios en su conocimiento, Dios los entregó a una mente reprobada, para hacer las cosas que no convienen;

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 llenos de toda injusticia, inmoralidad sexual, maldad, codicia, malicia llenos de envidia, de homicidios, de contiendas, de engaños, de malas costumbres, de calumniadores secretos,

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 aborrecedores de Dios, de insolencia, de arrogancia, de jactancia, de invención de cosas malas, de desobediencia a los padres,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 de falta de entendimiento, de ruptura de la alianza, de falta de afecto natural, de falta de perdón, de falta de misericordia;

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 que, conociendo la ordenanza de Dios, de que los que practican tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo hacen lo mismo, sino que aprueban a los que las practican.

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
