Salmos 97
1 ¡Yahvé reina! ¡Que la tierra se alegre! ¡Que la multitud de islas se alegre!
Yhwh reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Las nubes y la oscuridad lo rodean. La rectitud y la justicia son el fundamento de su trono.
Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.
3 Un fuego va delante de él, y quema a sus adversarios por todos lados.
A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
4 Su rayo ilumina el mundo. La tierra ve y tiembla.
His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 Las montañas se derriten como la cera ante la presencia de Yahvé, ante la presencia del Señor de toda la tierra.
The hills melted like wax at the presence of Yhwh, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 Los cielos declaran su justicia. Todos los pueblos han visto su gloria.
The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
7 Que se avergüencen todos los que sirven a las imágenes grabadas, que se jactan de sus ídolos. ¡Adoradle, todos los dioses!
Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.
8 Sión escuchó y se alegró. Las hijas de Judá se alegraron a causa de tus juicios, Yahvé.
Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Yhwh.
9 Porque tú, Yahvé, eres altísimo sobre toda la tierra. Estás exaltado muy por encima de todos los dioses.
For thou, Yhwh, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
10 Tú que amas a Yahvé, odia el mal. Conserva las almas de sus santos. Los libra de la mano de los malvados.
Ye that love Yhwh, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 La luz se siembra para los justos, y alegría para los rectos de corazón.
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 ¡Alegraos en Yahvé, pueblo justo! Da gracias a su santo Nombre.
Rejoice in Yhwh, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
