Salmos 85

1 Para el músico principal. Un salmo de los hijos de Coré. Yahvé, has sido favorable a tu tierra. Has restaurado la fortuna de Jacob.

“To the chief musician, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” Thou hast been favorable, O Lord, unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 Has perdonado la iniquidad de tu pueblo. Tú has cubierto todo su pecado. (Selah)

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered over all their sin. (Selah)

3 Has quitado toda tu ira. Te has apartado de la ferocidad de tu ira.

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast relinquished the fierceness of thy anger.

4 Vuélvenos, Dios de nuestra salvación, y haz que cese tu indignación hacia nosotros.

Return to us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy ill-will toward us to cease.

5 ¿Estarás enojado con nosotros para siempre? ¿Sacará su ira a todas las generaciones?

Wilt thou be wroth with us for ever? wilt thou extend thy anger from generation to generation?

6 No nos revivirás de nuevo, para que tu pueblo se regocije en ti?

Wilt thou not [now] revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 Muéstranos tu amorosa bondad, Yahvé. Concédenos tu salvación.

Show us thy kindness, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

8 Oiré lo que Dios, Yahvé, diga, porque hablará de paz a su pueblo, a sus santos; pero que no vuelvan a la locura.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his pious ones: only let them not turn again to folly.

9 Ciertamente su salvación está cerca de los que le temen, para que la gloria habite en nuestra tierra.

Surely, nigh is his salvation unto those that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.

10 La misericordia y la verdad se unen. La justicia y la paz se han besado.

Kindness and truth are met together: righteousness and peace kiss each other.

11 La verdad brota de la tierra. La justicia ha mirado desde el cielo.

Truth will grow up out of the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven.

12 Sí, Yahvé dará lo que es bueno. Nuestra tierra dará sus frutos.

Yea, the Lord will also give the good, and our land will yield its products.

13 La justicia va delante deél, y prepara el camino para sus pasos.

Righteousness will walk firmly before him, and will make [level] the way by its steps.
