Salmos 80
1 Para el músico principal. Con la melodía de “Los Lirios de la Alianza”. Un salmo de Asaf. Escúchanos, Pastor de Israel, tú que conduces a José como un rebaño, tú que te sientas encima de los querubines, resplandece.
“For the leader of the music. Upon the Shushan-Eduth. A psalm of Asaph.” Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel! Thou who leadest Joseph like a flock, Thou who sittest between the cherubs, shine forth!
2 Ante Efraín, Benjamín y Manasés, ¡agitad vuestra fuerza! ¡Ven a salvarnos!
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, And come and save us!
3 Vuélvenos, Dios. Haz que tu rostro brille, y nos salvaremos.
Bring us back, O God! And cause thy face to shine, that we may be saved!
4 Yahvé Dios de los Ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo estarás enojado contra la oración de tu pueblo?
O LORD, God of hosts! How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
5 Los has alimentado con el pan de las lágrimas, y les dio de beber lágrimas en gran medida.
For thou causest them to eat the bread of tears, And givest them tears to drink, in full measure.
6 Nos conviertes en una fuente de disputa para nuestros vecinos. Nuestros enemigos se ríen entre ellos.
Thou hast made us the object of strife to our neighbors, And our enemies hold us in derision.
7 Vuélvenos, Dios de los Ejércitos. Haz que tu rostro brille, y nos salvaremos.
Bring us back, O God of hosts! And cause thy face to shine that we may be saved!
8 Has sacado una vid de Egipto. Expulsaste a las naciones y la plantaste.
Thou didst bring a vine out of Egypt; Thou didst expel the nations, and plant it.
9 Has limpiado el terreno para ello. Echó raíces profundas y llenó la tierra.
Thou didst prepare a place for it; It spread its roots, and filled the land.
10 Las montañas se cubrieron con su sombra. Sus ramas eran como los cedros de Dios.
The mountains were covered with its shade, And its branches were like the cedars of God.
11 Envió sus ramas al mar, sus brotes al río.
It sent out its boughs to the sea, And its branches to the river.
12 ¿Por qué has derribado sus muros? para que todos los que pasen por el camino lo arranquen?
Why hast thou now broken down its hedges, So that all who pass by do pluck from it?
13 El jabalí del bosque lo arrasa. Los animales salvajes del campo se alimentan de ella.
The boar from the wood doth waste it, And the wild beast of the forest doth devour it.
14 Vuélvete, te lo rogamos, Dios de los Ejércitos. Mira desde el cielo, y ve, y visita esta vid,
O God of hosts! return, we beseech thee, Look down from heaven, and behold, And have regard to this vine!
15 la acción que su mano derecha plantó, la rama que hiciste fuerte para ti.
Protect what thy right hand planted; The branch which thou madest strong for thyself!
16 Se ha quemado con fuego. Está cortado. Perecen ante su reprimenda.
It is burnt with fire; it is cut down; Under thy rebuke they perish.
17 Que tu mano esté sobre el hombre de tu derecha, en el hijo del hombre que hiciste fuerte para ti.
May thy hand be over the man of thy right hand, The man whom thou madest strong for thyself!
18 Así que no nos apartaremos de ti. Revívenos, e invocaremos tu nombre.
So will we no more turn back from thee: Revive us, and upon thy name alone will we call!
19 Vuélvenos, Yahvé Dios de los Ejércitos. Haz brillar tu rostro y nos salvaremos.
Bring us back, O LORD, God of hosts! And cause thy face to shine, that we may he saved!
