Salmos 77

1 Para el músico jefe. Para Jeduthun. Un salmo de Asaf. ¡Mi grito va a Dios! De hecho, clamo a Dios por ayuda, y que me escuche.

For the chief musician; after the manner of Jeduthun. A psalm of Asaph. I will call out with my voice to God; I will call with my voice to God, and my God will hear me.

2 En el día de mi angustia busqué al Señor. Mi mano se extendió en la noche, y no se cansó. Mi alma se negaba a ser consolada.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; at night I stretched my hands out, and they would not become tired. My soul refused to be comforted.

3 Me acuerdo de Dios y gimo. Me quejo, y mi espíritu está abrumado. (Selah)

I thought of God as I groaned; I thought about him as I grew faint. (Selah)

4 Mantienes mis párpados abiertos. Estoy tan preocupado que no puedo hablar.

You held my eyes open; I was too troubled to speak.

5 He considerado los días de antaño, los años de la antigüedad.

I thought about the days of old, about times long past.

6 Recuerdo mi canción en la noche. Considero en mi propio corazón; mi espíritu indaga diligentemente:

During the night I called to mind the song I once sang. I thought carefully and tried to understand what had happened.

7 “¿Nos rechazará el Señor para siempre? ¿Ya no será favorable?

Will the Lord reject me forever? Will he never again show me favor?

8 ¿Se ha desvanecido para siempre su amorosa bondad? ¿Falla su promesa por generaciones?

Was his covenant faithfulness gone forever? Had his promise failed forever?

9 ¿Se ha olvidado Dios de ser bondadoso? ¿Acaso ha retenido su compasión por la ira?” (Selah)

Had God forgotten to be gracious? Had his anger shut off his compassion? (Selah)

10 Entonces pensé: “Voy a apelar a esto: los años de la mano derecha del Altísimo”.

I said, “This is my sorrow: the changing of the right hand of the Most High toward us.”

11 Recordaré los hechos de Yah; porque recordaré tus maravillas de antaño.

But I will call to mind your deeds, Yahweh; I will think about your wonderful deeds of old.

12 También meditaré en todo tu trabajo, y considera tus acciones.

I will ponder all your deeds and will reflect on them.

13 Tu camino, Dios, está en el santuario. ¿Qué dios es tan grande como Dios?

Your way, God, is holy; what god compares to our great God?

14 Tú eres el Dios que hace maravillas. Has dado a conocer tu fuerza entre los pueblos.

You are the God who does wonders; you have revealed your strength among the peoples.

15 Has redimido a tu pueblo con tu brazo, los hijos de Jacob y José. (Selah)

You gave your people victory by your great power— the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)

16 Las aguas te vieron, Dios. Las aguas te vieron y se retorcieron. Las profundidades también se convulsionaron.

The waters saw you, God; the waters saw you, and they were afraid; the depths trembled.

17 Las nubes derramaron agua. Los cielos resonaron con truenos. Sus flechas también parpadearon.

The clouds poured down water; the cloudy skies gave voice; your arrows flew about.

18 La voz de tu trueno estaba en el torbellino. Los relámpagos iluminaron el mundo. La tierra tembló y se estremeció.

Your thunderous voice was heard in the wind; the lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook.

19 Tu camino fue a través del mar, sus caminos a través de las grandes aguas. Tus pasos no se conocían.

Your path went through the sea and your way through the surging waters, but your footprints were not seen.

20 Guías a tu pueblo como un rebaño, por la mano de Moisés y Aarón.

You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
