Salmos 72
1 Por Salomón. Dios, dale al rey tu justicia; tu justicia al hijo real.
Solomon’s. O God! thy justice, give, unto the king, And thy righteousness, unto the son of a king;
2 Él juzgará a tu pueblo con justicia, y sus pobres con la justicia.
May he judge, Thy people with righteousness; And thine oppressed ones with justice;
3 Las montañas traerán prosperidad al pueblo. Las colinas traen el fruto de la justicia.
May the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills [be laden] with righteousness;
4 Él juzgará a los pobres del pueblo. Salvará a los hijos de los necesitados, y hará pedazos al opresor.
May he, Vindicate the oppressed of the people, Bring deliverance to the children of the needy, and, Crush the oppressor.
5 Te temerán mientras dure el sol; y tan largo como la luna, a través de todas las generaciones.
Let men revere thee, With the sun, And in presence of the moon, Unto the remotest generation.
6 Descenderá como la lluvia sobre la hierba cortada, como duchas que riegan la tierra.
Let him come down, Like rain on fields to be mown, Like myriad drops on land to be reaped.
7 En sus días, los justos florecerán, y la abundancia de la paz, hasta que la luna no sea más.
May righteousness, in his days, blossom forth, And abundance of peace, till there be no moon.
8 También dominará de mar a mar, desde el río hasta los confines de la tierra.
So let him have dominion, From sea to sea, And from the River ["Euphrates"] unto the ends of the earth;
9 Los que habitan en el desierto se inclinarán ante él. Sus enemigos lamerán el polvo.
Before him, let the men of the desert kneel, But, as for his foes, the dust, let them lick;
10 Los reyes de Tarsis y de las islas traerán tributo. Los reyes de Saba y Seba ofrecerán regalos.
The kings of Tarshish and of the Coastlands, A gift, let them render, The kings of Sheba and Seba, A present, let them bring;
11 Sí, todos los reyes se postrarán ante él. Todas las naciones le servirán.
Yea let all kings, bow down unto him, Let, all nations, serve him;
12 Porque él librará al necesitado cuando clame; el pobre, que no tiene ayudante.
Because he Rescueth, The needy from the rich, The oppressed, who hath no helper;
13 Se apiadará de los pobres y necesitados. Salvará las almas de los necesitados.
He Pitieth the weak and the needy, And, the lives of the needy, he Saveth:
14 Él redimirá su alma de la opresión y la violencia. Su sangre será preciosa a sus ojos.
From extortion, and, violence, he Redeemeth their life, And precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Vivirá, y el oro de Saba le será entregado. Los hombres rezarán continuamente por él. Lo bendecirán todo el día.
Let him live, then! And be there given unto him of the gold of Sheba, —Let prayer also be offered for him continually, All the day, let him be blessed.
16 Habrá abundancia de grano en toda la tierra. Su fruto se balancea como el Líbano. Que florezca, floreciendo como la hierba del campo.
May there be an abundance of corn in the earth, in the top of the mountains, —Let the fruit thereof, wave like Lebanon, And they of the city bloom like the fresh shoots of the earth.
17 Su nombre es eterno. Su nombre sigue siendo tan largo como el sol. Los hombres serán bendecidos por él. Todas las naciones lo llamarán bendito.
May his Name be age-abiding, In the presence of the sun, let his Name flourish, —And may all the families of the ground bless themselves in him, All nations, pronounce him happy!
18 Alabado sea Yahvé Dios, el Dios de Israel, que es el único que hace obras maravillosas.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, —Who doeth wondrous things by himself alone;
19 ¡Bendito sea su glorioso nombre por siempre! ¡Que toda la tierra se llene de su gloria! Amén y amén.
And blessed be his glorious Name, unto times age-abiding, —And filled with his glory be all the earth, Amen and Amen!
20 Así terminalas oraciones de David, hijo de Isaí.
