Salmos 61

1 Para el músico jefe. Para un instrumento de cuerda. Por David. Escucha mi clamor, Dios. Escucha mi oración.

“For the leader of the music. To be sung upon stringed instruments. A psalm of David.” Hear my cry, O God! Attend to my prayer!

2 Desde el fin de la tierra, te llamaré cuando mi corazón esté abrumado. Condúceme a la roca que es más alta que yo.

From the extremity of the land I cry unto thee in deep sorrow of heart; Lead me to the rock that is high above me!

3 Porque tú has sido un refugio para mí, una torre fuerte del enemigo.

For thou art my refuge, My strong tower against the enemy.

4 Yo habitaré en tu tienda para siempre. Me refugiaré al abrigo de tus alas. (Selah)

I shall dwell in thy tabernacle for ever; I will seek refuge under the covert of thy wings.

5 Porque tú, Dios, has escuchado mis votos. Me has dado la herencia de los que temen tu nombre.

For thou, O God! wilt hear my vows, And give me the inheritance of those who fear thy name.

6 Prolongarás la vida del rey. Sus años serán para generaciones.

O prolong the life of the king! May his years extend through many generations!

7 Será entronizado en la presencia de Dios para siempre. Designa tu amorosa bondad y la verdad, para que lo preserven.

May he reign for ever before God! Grant that mercy and truth may preserve him!

8 Así cantaré alabanzas a tu nombre para siempre, para que pueda cumplir mis votos diariamente.

So will I sing praise to thy name for ever; I will daily perform my vows.
