Salmos 52
1 Para el jefe de los músicos. Una contemplación de David, cuando Doeg el edomita vino y le dijo a Saúl: “David ha venido a la casa de Ahimelec”. ¿Por qué te jactas de hacer travesuras, hombre poderoso? La bondad amorosa de Dios perdura continuamente.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. When Doeg the Edomite went, and told Saul; and said to him, —David, hath entered the house of Ahimelech. Why dost thou boast thyself of wickedness, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of GOD, [lasteth] all the day.
2 Tu lengua trama la destrucción, como una navaja afilada, trabajando con engaño.
Engulfing ruin, doth thy tongue devise, Like a whetted razor, working deceit;
3 Amas el mal más que el bien, mintiendo en lugar de decir la verdad. (Selah)
Thou lovest Evil more than good, Falsehood, more than speaking righteousness. (Selah)
4 Amas todas las palabras devoradoras, tu lengua engañosa.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!
5 Dios también te destruirá para siempre. Él te tomará y te sacará de tu tienda, y te arrancaré de la tierra de los vivos. (Selah)
GOD also, will break thee down utterly, He will snatch thee up and tear thee away tentless, And uproot thee, out of the land of the living. (Selah)
6 También los justos lo verán y temerán, y se ríen de él, diciendo,
The righteous shall both see and fear, And, over him, shall laugh:
7 “He aquí el hombre que no hizo de Dios su fuerza, sino que confió en la abundancia de sus riquezas, y se fortaleció en su maldad”.
Lo! the man who made not God his refuge, —But trusted in the abundance of his riches, Emboldened himself in his wealth!
8 Pero en cuanto a mí, soy como un olivo verde en la casa de Dios. Confío en la bondad amorosa de Dios por siempre y para siempre.
But, I, am like a flourishing olive-tree, in the house of God, I have put confidence in the lovingkindness of God, for times age-abiding and beyond.
9 Te daré gracias por siempre, porque lo has hecho. Esperaré en tu nombre, porque es bueno, en presencia de tus santos.
I will praise thee to times age-abiding, Because thou didst effectually work, —And I will wait on thy Name, Because it is good, In the presence of thy men of lovingkindness.
