Salmos 50
1 Un salmo de Asaf. El Poderoso, Dios, Yahvé, habla, y llama a la tierra desde el amanecer hasta el atardecer.
“A psalm of Asaph.” The mighty God, Jehovah, speaketh, and calleth the earth, From the rising of the sun to its going down.
2 De Sión, la perfección de la belleza, Dios brilla.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
3 Nuestro Dios viene y no calla. Un fuego devora ante él. Es muy tormentoso a su alrededor.
Our God cometh, and will not be silent; Before him is a devouring fire, And around him a raging tempest.
4 Llama a los cielos, a la tierra, para juzgar a su pueblo:
He calleth to the heavens on high, And to the earth, while he judgeth his people:
5 “Reúne a mis santos conmigo, los que han hecho un pacto conmigo mediante el sacrificio”.
“Gather together before me my godly ones, Who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice!”
6 Los cielos declararán su justicia, porque Dios mismo es juez. (Selah)
(And the heavens shall declare his righteousness, For it is God himself that is judge., Pause)
7 “Oíd, pueblo mío, y yo hablaré. Israel, testificaré contra ti. Yo soy Dios, tu Dios.
“Hear, O my people, and I will speak! O Israel, and I will testify against thee! For I am God, thine own God.
8 No te reprendo por tus sacrificios. Tus holocaustos están continuamente ante mí.
I reprove thee not on account of thy sacrifices; For thy burnt-offerings are ever before me.
9 No tengo necesidad de un toro de tu plaza, ni los machos cabríos de sus corrales.
I will take no bullock from thy house, Nor he-goat from thy folds;
10 Porque todo animal del bosque es mío, y el ganado en mil colinas.
For all the beasts of the forest are mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 Conozco todas las aves de las montañas. Los animales salvajes del campo son míos.
I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are before me.
12 Si tuviera hambre, no te lo diría, porque el mundo es mío, y todo lo que hay en él.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and all that is therein.
13 Comeré carne de toro, o beber la sangre de las cabras?
Do I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
14 Ofrece a Dios el sacrificio de acción de gracias. Pagad vuestros votos al Altísimo.
Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay thy vows to the Most High!
15 Invócame en el día de la angustia. Yo te libraré y tú me honrarás”.
Then call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me!”
16 Pero al malvado Dios le dice, “¿Qué derecho tienes a declarar mis estatutos, que has tomado mi pacto en tus labios,
And to the wicked God saith, “To what purpose dost thou talk of my statutes? And why hast thou my laws upon thy lips?—
17 ya que odias la instrucción, y lanzar mis palabras detrás de ti?
Thou, who hatest instruction And castest my words behind thee!
18 Cuando viste a un ladrón, consentiste con él, y han participado con adúlteros.
When thou seest a thief, thou art in friendship with him, And hast fellowship with adulterers.
19 “Das tu boca al mal. Tu lengua enmarca el engaño.
Thou lettest loose thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit;
20 Te sientas y hablas contra tu hermano. Calumnias al hijo de tu propia madre.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
21 Tú has hecho estas cosas y yo he guardado silencio. Pensaste que yo era igual que tú. Te reprenderé y te acusaré delante de tus ojos.
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Hence thou thoughtest that I was altogether like thyself: But I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thine eyes.
22 “Ahora consideren esto, ustedes que se olvidan de Dios, para que no te haga pedazos y no haya quien te libere.
Mark this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and none deliver you!
23 Quienofrece el sacrificio de acción de gracias me glorifica, y prepara su camino para que le muestre la salvación de Dios”.
Whoso offereth praise honoreth me; And to him who hath regard to his ways Will I show salvation from God.”
