Salmos 28

1 Por David. A ti, Yahvé, te llamo. Mi roca, no seas sordo a mí, No sea que, si te quedas callado ante mí, Me volvería como los que bajan a la fosa.

Yahweh, I call out to you; [you are like an overhanging] rock [under which I can hide]. Do not refuse to answer me, because if you are silent, I will soon be with those who are in their graves.

2 Escucha la voz de mis peticiones, cuando clamo a ti, cuando alzo mis manos hacia tu Lugar Santísimo.

Listen to me when I call out for you [to help me], when I pray, lifting up my hands as I face your sacred temple.

3 No me arrastres con los malvados, con los obreros de la iniquidad que hablan de paz con sus vecinos, pero la maldad está en sus corazones.

Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend [to act] peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.

4 Dales según su trabajo y según la maldad de sus obras. Dales según el funcionamiento de sus manos. Devuélveles lo que se merecen.

Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds [DOU].

5 Porque no respetan las obras de Yahvé, ni la operación de sus manos, los derribará y no los construirá.

Yahweh, they do not pay attention to the [wonderful] things that you have done and that you have created; so get rid of them permanently and do not let them appear again!

6 Bendito sea Yahvé, porque ha escuchado la voz de mis peticiones.

Praise Yahweh because he has heard me when I called out for him to help me!

7 Yahvé es mi fuerza y mi escudo. Mi corazón ha confiado en él y me ha ayudado. Por eso mi corazón se alegra enormemente. Con mi canción le daré las gracias.

Yahweh makes me strong and [protects] me [like a shield] [MET]; I trusted in him, and he helped me. I was glad, and from my inner being I praised him as I sang to him.

8 Yahvé es su fuerza. Es un baluarte de salvación para sus ungidos.

Yahweh causes us to be strong and protects us; and he saves me, the one he appointed [MTY] to be king.

9 Salva a tu gente, y bendice tu herencia. Sé también su pastor, y los soportará para siempre.

Yahweh, save/rescue your people; bless those who belong to you. [Take care of them like] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep] [MET]; take care of them forever.
